Finished my camino ingles a few days ago!!! Happened at the perfect time of my life and the overall experience was transformational. Thank you!! you helped me a lot gearing up and mentally prepping
Congrats James!!! Hope you had a successful Camino. Some sections are difficult, but when overcame it, it’s an amazing feeling. I got lucky with the weather and only light rain one day. Overall, it was a beautiful Camino. Another Camino in store for you in the future? I fell in love with the Camino and can’t seem to shake it off. Again, big congrats James. Buen Camino.
@@Gettinglostonthetrail Thank you! Congrats to you too. Definetly! My studies end in spain in June but I am pretty intent on working out here in the future. Even so if I return for vacation I will get another Camino under me. Camino Ingles was a good starting point, it was my first time doing anything really like this so it helped me understand what to expect/ how to prep. The weather was rough but it made the sun we did get all the more glorious! I think everything is a little more romantic when walking the Camino anyway. Buen Camino!!
@@jameswatkins1367would totally recommend Camino Primitivo for you. A challenging trail indeed, but also the most beautiful in my opinion. If limited in number of days on the Primitivo then just do the start (Oviedo) to Lugo. This section is challenging, but so much to see. The last 100km from Lugo to Santiago is relatively flat and lots of road walking. Each Camino has something different to offer. Whichever one you decide will be a unique experience. All the best James.
Thank you for the update. You really seem to be enjoying your self. Glad to se that you are walking much more relaxed this year, no ankel issues I take it. Hope it continues that way.
The weather was just perfect. Went with another peregrino from home. His first Camino so he was aiming for the destination. Never the case for me, it’s the journey that I seeks. After day two we bid farewell and he left 2am with the headlamps. He’s missing the best part about the Camino, you can’t see the beauty of nature with a headlamp. When arrived in Santiago he finally realized it’s the journey that matters. Oh well, if there’s a next Camino in his life he’ll do it right by slowing down and embracing what the Camino has to offer.
You both should try el camino real de California so the couch potato LD hikers like myself (well only for now...I will walk again soon) will have a goal here in the US too.
@@farmerhavingfun i have been dreaming of walking the camino since 1999 when I left London to come live in the US and have never done it. I decided I would do it in 2023 with my son but my health took a turn for the worse. Hoping to do it with my family in 2025. Where I come from we call it a Belle Marche which mean a good walk...the trails there are very tough. I just discovered your channel because of your comments here. Love your honesty...

No ankle issue this year. Surprisingly knees are great too. Overall, definitely a more relaxing and enjoyable Camino. Thanks for watching Lorenz.
Great to see you are progressing out there! Keep enjoying the Ingles. Looks lovely. 😊

@@COGmercy You two and @KaterOnBike should come up to WA and hike PCT from Bridge of the Gods to White Pass and maybe Canada with me. :)
