It's factually incorrect. The redcoats weren't the ones waging war so treaties could be broken with the indigenous people. PS, the US lost the war with the Redcoats. The revolutionary war was between British separatists and British loyalists.

Well, yes, of course calling them redcoats probably is difficult to the British who are alive now, but the way John Stewart is using it is rather appropriate. Our two party system the color red stands for the Republicans and the color blue stands for Democrats.
With that being said, Donald Trump has pushed his red hats, and the people who wear them to believe that he is the only one who can rule this country.
As you know, the president in the United States cannot serve more than eight years/2 terms. So the redcoats phrase is going to represent people who say they don’t want a democracy anymore. That’s what it boils down to
the red people want 1 leader until he dies
the blue people want to be able to vote for their president like our country has for the last 250 years.
It’s not necessarily a dig to the British people now, it’s a dig at Trump‘s people who want to throw our constitution out the window.

“What are we doing“? That is what I thought when I heard people say that they did not know who to vote for. It was a no-brainer for me. I am not going to elect a dictator hoping to get cheap eggs. You’re basically offering to give up your freedom to save two dollars off of eggs. If I go to the supermarket and eggs are expensive, I don’t buy it. And if we all did that I bet you the price of eggs will drop.
Plus, the price of eggs went up under Trump!!!! He couldn’t handle the trucker’s issues, or solve ANY problems at all. He wrecked farmers, fishermen, restaurants, and had to pay them lots of money, so they wouldn’t go out of business! He enabled and oversaw the deaths of almost 2 million Americans!!!
The dumbest part is that Trump wouldn't care what the price of eggs are, or anything else. He would de-regulate the egg farms so they be able to charge whatever they wanted.

My daughter works at petsmart. People come in there all the time, grab dog food and walk out the front door. Shooting them doesn't make much sense for a $20 bag of dog food. They don't even allow their employees to intervene for fear they could be harmed. Can you imagine if they had an armed guard in there shooting people? No one would want to work there.
Do they like being robbed? Having at least a deterrent would, well, deter it. Rather then shutting down the store due to losses and putting people out of work.

That's the reason why all of those people got fired at Lululemon when there was a shoplifting scourge on their store and they attempted to stop the perpetrators. Unless they specifically have security, the employees are told not to intervene. My daughter's supervisor did say something to some people in the parking lot after they had stolen some dog food and they started throwing cans of dog food at her and hit her in the head. Battling the constant neverending issue of shoplifting is not worth the loss or harm of a human life.

My brother died in a car accident it was a painful blur!! I remember the month and year but not the day! Some people do not want to remember every single thing about a loved ones death! Sicko people probably never lost anyone close to them!
It's how we survive the pain of memories. People who are not attached personally to tragedy can create history and emotional dialogue about events in their minds to connect to things, but others who have survived the actual events in their own lives will leave out certain details such as dates, people, time, places, scents, colours etc to help them cope throughout the years. Many people even block the event completely.

Back in the 1980s, I audited the security forces at every nuclear weapons facility. The Department of Energy (the agency that actually made nukes) asked the DOJ if it were OK to shoot someone escaping after stealing plutonium. At that time, it was illegal to shoot someone who had committed a theft, unless they were clearly a threat.

What's possibly most amazing about Elon's latest foot-stomping tantrum is that he set-up the high-profile interview and thought it would be great press for him, only to show-up without even the most basic justifications for his own words and actions.
