Awesome! Nothing like developing routes/boulders! Racking your brain against a piece of rock until it finally tells you it's secrets, and I find it especially rewarding doing it alone (your own process). Another amazing vid man! Keep them coming!
excellent climbing and excellent commentary Tom, as always. i personally love this development content the best. for what its worth. keep up the good work!
Haha the more I boulder the less I know how grading boulders works. It could be harder or it could be easier. It felt not too bad once I found the bet, but took some time to find
Awesome , me and my mates are about to head to blue mountains , I know the traditional thing to be done there is to sport or trad climb , but any bouldering recommendations for people who are totally new to the outdoors ?
Unfortunately the bouldering up here has a pretty steep entry level. Most of it really only starts north of V8/9. For whatever reason the rock doesn't lend itself to being good quality and lower grade for the boulders. But you can check out areas like Mt York bouldering. There's a little selection of good lower grades there.
Awesome video! Question for you. Could be for a video or a response here. Do you think that being an 'all-rounder' has helped or hindered more? Do you think that your lead experience has helped you up boulders and visa versa or do you think that sticking to one makes you the best climber you can be, even if its only in one discipline.
definitely worth a deep dive in a future video. for me, doing a bit of everything has always been fun. it keeps me excited and interested, which keeps me climbing, which keeps me learning, which keeps me getting better :)
Hey Tom. Any plans to go back to the boulder from Australia's hardest and best project video? Comes up in my mind every once in a while. Thanks for the videos!
It was on the cards for this year until my finger went pop. It's always in my mind too. Perhaps next year will be when I can invest more time into it. Too good to not climb
belter tunes and climbing in this one. top stuff
Thanks mate, psyched to hear you enjoyed

Yes for sure. I enjoy the solo process. Not to say sorting it out with friends isn't fun though :).
Wonderful video. There's nothing better than being out in the woods and stumbling across untouched boulders!
So much fun finding and developing them all
Banger episode! Would love to watch you uncover more lines, and sharing your process like this is great.
Will definitely share more when it happens :)
The battery powered leaf blower is a game changer.
Mega game changer

Definitely keen to make more when I can. Need to get the finger rehabbed for now though
Peak froth right here. Keep it up Tom!
Psyched you enjoyed mate. Thanks
sick one!
They re some pretty rad lines. And many more to do :)
Ahh man, great video. I love group sessions, but dang ticking s**t off solo is so satisfying.
Yeah the solitude is pretty rad. Really makes it feel like a moment just for you. I love it
Been finding some cool FAs in the V3 range, sick to see that it's still fun and rewarding at the V13 range!
It’s so fun. Always so so good 😀
That V8 the weaver looks like you wouldn’t want to try without a dedicated spotter or like 20 stacked pads. Love this content
Haha yes very much. Definitely need some foam and hands
so hyped on these outdoor vids. rad stuff
Glad you enjoyed mate. Keen to make more when I can
Dude this is so sick, maybe i'll drive up and do some blue mountains climbing one of these days
There’s some good stuff up here 😀
Holding that pinch at 2:13 🙌
Some great grips 😀
King line that one Tom
It’s very cool. Really enjoyed it 😀
V12/3? if that's not sand bagging I don't know what is 🤣
Seems like a fair grade to me (although I can't climb that hard lol)
Haha the more I boulder the less I know how grading boulders works. It could be harder or it could be easier. It felt not too bad once I found the bet, but took some time to find
Does it mean: V12 or V3? 😂

Love it! How far is this to walk in? Plenty more around you?
It's not far from the car and there for sure more in there. Just a matter of putting more time in to cleaning and developing :)
The Weaver and Wisdom of Crowds? I spy a fellow Joe Abercrombie enjoyer
Such good books. I wish there were more. Or others like it. All ears for suggestions. I liked The Gentlemen Bastards series. Similar style
Came here to say this! The partial rhyme on Glokta Block is perfect 👌

@TomOHalloranAus Thanks for the reply! I bet you come back stronger and do it and I will be stoked to see it!
this has got me frothing
haha sick :)
Pretty crappy sandy lines.
Someone’s not happy😂😢
sarcasm? or you just have a lofty bar set for what's worth climbing.
