  • In line with the implementation of the CITP, CIDB collaborates with myBIM Centre to provide Building Information Modelling (BIM) Training called BIM Proficience Accreditation.
This program mainly targets industry players such as Contractors, Architects, Engineers, surveyors, etc., to learn how to implement BIM and use tools and manage the construction site using BIM knowledge.
By implementing the BIM into the project, Planners can select optimum sites. Architects can produce more accurate designs with fewer errors, less waste, and closer alignment with the owner's vision. Engineers can increase coordination with architects and other engineering disciplines, improving the reliability of their designs.
Contractors can ensure that constructibility issues are flagged early when changes are less expensive .Ultimate owners canuse them in the futuree to build a comprehensive facility and asset management program.
Adapting to BIM's advantages requires staff, processes, and technology investment. Approaching these changes positively will speed the transition and allow firms to realise the productivity and quality gain possible with BIM.
    What is BIM?
    - Building Information Modelling (BIM) models technology and associated processes to produce, communicate and analyse digital information models for the life cycle of construction projects.
    - National BIM Steering Committee 2013
    - BIM allows for collaboration, optimisation, higher productivity, predictability, and completeness.
