Western PA has some amazing natural places. The Allegheny National forest, Ohiopyle SP, Oil Creek Sp, Presque Isle Sp, Kennerdell tract Kittaning State forest, The Laurel Highlands and the list goes on.
I really enjoyed your hike. I grew up in the southern part of Butler County. I went swimming one time at Lake Arthur but never did any hiking there. In my high school years, for gym class, my class got to go white water rafting at McConnells Mill. It was a blast! I had a very cool phys ed teacher. 😎
@@FloridaSnowman it started in the mid, late 60s, early 70s, from what i can remember. We used to go for rides out around there when i was a kid, when they were working on it.
For some unknown, and unreported reason, North Country Trail videos end in, and around, Detroit. Mi..💀 Btw. Club moss, also known as running cedar, here in Virginia, used to be used to make Christmas wreathes, and other decorations.
Hope you checked out McConnells Mills park right next to Moraine, amazing sights to see if you cross the wooden covered bridge, go up the hill and make the first sharp right! Drive back there a bit until you see parking and picnic tables and there are plenty of remarkable sights!
Your new jeep is very pretty. I like the color. Very nice hike. The bike trail is real nice, too. Next time maybe bring your bike. I wondered where you were camping as Moraine has no campground, just cabins. I never understood why a park that big had no campground. The cabins were added only a few years ago. Youre always welcome in my backyard. Hope you had an awesome time and come back again. Ive never seen signs for that campground when Ive been up that way. Wonder if its new? Be safe as always ❤❤❤❤❤
Too bad i also didn't know you were at moraine a n even better exploration would have been closer to the eayers of lake Arthur where ospreys an eagle s ate often seen.the okd wester allegheny railroad rancthrough there were mines ,like thethe snyder family cemeter so called frozen dog mine.
It's around 1550 feet on Mount Union Road Cliff. You have to drive up the road more. If you drive pass Mount Union Cemetery you gone to far. It's were the house has the don't turn around. I bike mount union regularly and record the workout on a Garmin biking device. That's how I know.
Gosh i wish i had a 3 day trip like you, l love your passion, 112? Almost there ....keep up good work

If i had known, i would have come out to say Hi! 😊... Lake Arthur - Moraine State Park - is a man-made lake.
I think I remember when they created that lake. Was it the sixty’s or am I way off? I think I was young, but I may be thinking of a different lake…

If you plan Erie, Crawford, Venango, & Forest Counties, I'll be glad to make a trip to visit. : )
They are part of my family roots.
Same here! Ive been waiting for a venango/forest county video for a few years now.
Love Venango and Forest counties. PA heaven.

We used to call that Crow's Foot. We used to gather it to make the Advent wreath in church. Fun memory.

@@Murk3dHuman1ty i think he said he was going to.. the place he was camping was near McConnells Mills state park.
Yes, those horizontal groves in the rock are due to the glacier moving over top the rock.
Moraine is a great state park
good stuff
What’s the new jeep’s name?
Only 9 more counties to go!!😊
I saw a white buck in Moraine State Park.
If you had kept going on the descent, you would have seen the big green water tower.
