Jerry always did really good interviews. Very verbose and insightful and quite intelligent. Dude was a one of a kind and a born musician and it'll always be a crying shame that he died as young as he did
Me and Jerry were surrounded by music all our lives. I played Chuck Berry over 'n over like forever; my sister eventually broke that record. Also my mom got me an accordion, too. 🎵 🎶
Stayed tuned there is more of the interview to come It;s an interview but my equipment is outdated and i can only record so many minutes it's like anything over 12 to 15 minutes and it takes days to upload if it even up loads at all. I am aware of it and doing my best to upgrade. I can only do small upgrades as my resources allow.
Also my friend you didn't bug or bother me one bit. I love a request. I love the challenge as well as the good feeling I get from doing it but more importantly The Grateful Dead played such a huge roll in my development as a human. Basically it's all about the music which makes my heart warm and fuzzy and my ears smile. I am naturally obligated to turn it on and pass it along.
Jerry was such an interesting guy. I can/could listen to him talk all day long.
Jerry gave a great interview, and introduced me to his cousin "Danny" I never knew that before. now I know. Thanks!
Thanks for hangin' out on shakedown.
As long as people keep coming I'll keep posting & I am getting good At improvising

I love how he uses his hands and fingers as an expressive device, almost as if he was playing a guitar. 😁👀☮
Such an interesting guy. Great artist. Awesome performer and musician. An old soul.

Phil lesh also highly intelligent, him and Jerry definitely the brains of the group
I'm reading Mickey Hart's book Drumming at the Edge of Magic right now. He's also pretty intelligent.
