Very nostalgic! I saw one of these brand new in 1966, with a fresh coat of road dust on it, as it sat on the end of an Eastbound awaiting departure. Portland Union Station. I was 12 at the time and didn't think much of it then. But man, it sure was sweet to see 325 in all her glory today with such a beautiful consist. It was like seeing an old acquaintance, listening to his old stories again. I wasn't expecting that in this stage in life. Thanks! 👍👍
Fascinating how conditions changed during the runbys on the bridge. That first shot with the fog was very atmospheric (plus the graffiti wasnt so conspicuous).
Yes is was, and the change in conditions happened over the course of about 45 minutes. It was amazing see the sun slowly burn it off, and blue skies emerge.
Great Northern #325 back home in Omaha Orange and Pullman Green to match their Great Northern passenger cars in their collection. Thats a good video. Great Northern #325 is my favorite locomotive at MTM. She's a beauty. You did a good chase.
Great to see a rare EMD back riding the rails. Some fake (aka: cosmetic) vents and exhaust on the long hood end would have been a nice way to complete the look of the unit as an SDP40.
Great video, thanks for posting. I have a still pix of an SDP40 leading a BN freight on the Q in Westmont, but it was in Big Sky Blue. Don't know the number offhand.
I know a lot of people fell/felt that way with the BSB, me included. However, it looks great with a matching trainset, and goes well with the other passenger cars. Thank you for watching!
Now that's a beautiful consist and an engineer who knows how to put on an impressive show for the cameras!
It was a neat, and fun sight on this photo charter. The smoke show was an added bonus!

Very nice video, the 325 looks great in her new paint.
I think so too, and it matches the passenger cars very well. Thank you for watching!
It could be a him .....
great video very well done
Thank you very much! Glad that you enjoyed it!
I loved the history lesson about this scenic railroad. Ive always wanted to go there but always make the trip to Duluth for the longer ride on NSSR.
Glad you enjoyed it! They are fun to ride on, and the track is in good shape too. Thank you for watching!

Spectacular video Douglas! The entire train looks great. So glad the 325 has returned to its original paint scheme.
I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it! I am happy to see the 325 back in those GN colors; it looks great with the other cars.

Great footage! That is a beautiful train set! I saw some great photos posted online of it also. - Jenny
Thank you very much, and glad you enjoyed it! This matching trainset looked great, and right out of the GN era.
You're welcome!

Its great to see it plying the rails again! What vents are you talking about with the exhaust?

Very cool! Be interesting to see if it happened to be the 325.
Awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for watching!
Kind of wish they painted into the original blue and black but it still looks great. Nice video keep it up

I'm going to a train ride in october at Osceola Wisconsin
I hope you enjoy the fall colors; its a great ride!
@@SD457500 Thanks and it sure is
With all the smoke from the engine, it almost looked like a steam locomotive.
That engine would put up some nice exhaust now and then!
Aah yes James Hill will be pleased.!! bj gn fan.
I think he would be too! It looks sharp, and right at home with those passenger cars. Thanks for watching!
Fantastic video and a beautiful consist. The 325 looks great in the GN scheme. Well done! Mike
Thank you very much! This was a fun event, and neat line to shoot on.
I’ll forgive them for depriving us of Big Sky Blue and Cascade Green if and when I see her paired with the Hustle Muscle.
