@Phase Atrix She gave you false information. Berber was a language that predates Arabic in North Africa. It is NOT a dialect and does not resemble Arabic at all. There are loan words though in the language because both cultures mixed for so long. Berbers are proud to be Muslim they just want to preserve their language as well and their culture. Berber was illegal in schools and not taught or officially recognized until 2011 in Morocco. There used to be no road signs in Berber language and there was no effort by the government to protect the language and culture hence why there was Arabization as many Berbers felt the only way to advance as a people would be to abandon the Berber language and identity and then adopt an Arab identity instead. Please do not take Berber activism and search for recognition as them being anti Arab or anti muslim. Berbers are VERY proud Muslims and they do not hate Arabs. It wasn’t mandatory. Islam prohibited tattoos so people were getting aware of their religion telling them to avoid doing tattoos on the skin especially from the 80s/90s started to stop tattoos completely. But not all women were tattooed. It wasn’t mandatory it was just like accessory and a traditional tattoos, no one was forced to get tattooed.

Hell no that is arabian or islamic. the men can only marry 4 and even that it comes with strict conditions and its not something one can just easily marry two and more just because you want it. Theres alot of factors that needed to take into consideration. Marrying 5 and 14 women is not in islamic teachings, but rather the jahiliyyah period before the arrival of Islam.
@@nora7440 Marry more than one had a reason behind it,in wartime a lot of men died ,so the number of women was so much bigger than men, there were widow women and orphan kids,and at that women could not stay without a supporter , they will end up as prostitutes,so Islam allows men marrying more than one women and he will take responsibility of taking care of her and her kids, but he has to qualify to do that, one of the condition is to get his first wife permission, and yes there women who allow their husbands to have the second wife , nowadays there aren't a lot of people who do that since it's not really needed
@@nora7440 So sick? Did you even read his text? A Muslim man who wants to marry two or more women needs to get his wifes permission first, like the brother/sister above mentioned. After the marriage, he must treat them equally, fair and just. If he cannot do that, then he is not allowed to marry more than one woman. Men used to be soldiers back then. So most of the women were widowed with no one there to support them, to feed or to protect them, they even had children. So instead of letting them die in poverty or to go astray from the religion, Allah in all his wisdom allowed men to marry two or up to four women.

I am also Berber (not from Atlas but from the south-west), and I can confirm that there are different languages depending on which tribe the person comes from. For example, I speak “tachelhit” and I don’t understand a word spoken in amazigh!

I'm an arabic moroccan and i want to learn the amazighi language simply because I like the culture and it is the original language of Morocco so as an Moroccan girl I want to known and learn about aaaaaalll the cultures in my country starting with the amazigh culture but the problem here is their is 3 amazighi language and I don't know which one I should learn

This video's bio resonated with me so much. Although my mum is Moroccan, I didn't know anything about Amazigh/Berber culture for so long. I was just told I was arab, and never knew who the Amazigh were, until only a year ago, I'm 16 now and I'm discovering the culture and asking my parents more about it. It's so fascinating to me. I bought my mother an amazigh necklace for her birthday too last month and she loved it! Thanks for spreading awareness of our culture and existence in this video, I loved it 🥰

Islam prohibited tattoos so people were getting aware of their religion telling them to avoid doing tattoos on the skin especially from the 80s/90s started to stop tattoos completely. But not all women were tattooed. It wasn’t mandatory it was just like accessory and a traditional tattoos, no one was forced to get tattooed.

Hell no that is arabian or islamic. the men can only marry 4 and even that it comes with strict conditions and its not something one can just easily marry two and more just because you want it. Theres alot of factors that needed to take into consideration. Marrying 5 and 14 women is not in islamic teachings, but rather the jahiliyyah period before the arrival of Islam.

@@nora7440 Marry more than one had a reason behind it,in wartime a lot of men died ,so the number of women was so much bigger than men, there were widow women and orphan kids,and at that women could not stay without a supporter , they will end up as prostitutes,so Islam allows men marrying more than one women and he will take responsibility of taking care of her and her kids, but he has to qualify to do that, one of the condition is to get his first wife permission, and yes there women who allow their husbands to have the second wife , nowadays there aren't a lot of people who do that since it's not really needed

@@nora7440 So sick? Did you even read his text? A Muslim man who wants to marry two or more women needs to get his wifes permission first, like the brother/sister above mentioned. After the marriage, he must treat them equally, fair and just. If he cannot do that, then he is not allowed to marry more than one woman.
Men used to be soldiers back then. So most of the women were widowed with no one there to support them, to feed or to protect them, they even had children. So instead of letting them die in poverty or to go astray from the religion, Allah in all his wisdom allowed men to marry two or up to four women.

I am also Berber (not from Atlas but from the south-west), and I can confirm that there are different languages depending on which tribe the person comes from.
For example, I speak “tachelhit” and I don’t understand a word spoken in amazigh!

No not a word. Just some sentences and maybe it’s different but all amazigh languages have similarities and it’s not just some words. Most Words are used by all the amazigh people and the culture is the same

I see Korean facial traits on her face, but not familiar with Berber traits to tell. I can hear Korean and Italian accents when she speaks. She knows probably 4 languages fluently, and can most likely understand decently 2 more. Wow 👏 🤯

All the countries in North Africa are basically Amazighen including Egypt now. The north area in Mali and Nigeria are also Berbers and in the canary eiland you will also find very unique indigenous interesting Berber tribes. The Amazighen went to so many dynasty’s and it’s true that many are Arabised (berbers) there has been a long study on this only 4 % in Morocco are real Arabs meanwhile 50% identify them self as Arabs. The Arabs came to North Africa they forbidden our culture and language the brought a new religion Islam. The ting is after a while they went back to the Middle East the only people who really stayed where the king and the rulers at that time who where Arabs. Because the language and culture was forbidden many Berber stoped using their language and their culture. This went on for centuries and people forgot their true identity. But Morocco is the first and I think the only country where the teaching the tamazigh language in school now. Also many are finding their true roots now. Finally!!
If you go to Egypt for almost everyone identify them self as an arab brainwashed into the ground...it’s so sad to be honest because the indigenous in Egypt are Nubians they are one of the oldest and forgotten tribes in Egypt and the Berber. Those are the tribes from the pharhoons times. The last pharhoon was defeated by a Berber king that why most of the population are berbers but because of the arabisation they identify them self as Arabs.. that was a little bit history.

Hmm the oldest known evidence for anatomically modern humans is found in Morocco that doesn’t mean that the first human came from their or would be a Berber nobody have said it but this is the oldest we have for so far something you shouldn’t forgot that the oldest founded kingdoms are from North Africa and Middle East.

I just love how bubbly she is. Some ppl think being mixed race is bit burdensome, but being mixed myself i found more advantages. Seeing the world from multiple views not just a black n white/right n wrong kinda perspective. I got (a pint of) Dutch in Mom’s side n Chinese on Dad’s side but both of my parents hv bigger (Borneo’s) indigenous blood in them. I do look more Chinese but sadly apart from some Chinese ‘localised’ words/phrases, i don’t speak any Chinese at all. I love how she identify herself as ‘colorful/multicolor’.
