I find it really hard to comprehend if I'm doing my grind right or not even though I watch these videos or not
Same😂 everytime i was so confused and tried to understand these videos. But i got it and already have 3 guaranteed diamonds stacked on my map + one troll, but i still haven't shot them. Still have a few exterior zones with big deer in them which I have to shoot first. I have one solo zone with a diamond. Hope i will get it right to shoot him and right after that I'll shoot a small deer in a main zone and hope it will spawn there😅😂

It's simple math guys. If you want more diamonds and rares stack the big ones where you intend to shoot in the long run. Then shoot the rest until they come back small. More big animals alive in your herds means the probability of getting small ones to spawn increases and vice versa... It all depends on what your goals are. If you want super rares more often herd manage. If you don't... don't.
Stacking diamonds simply speeds up the process of spawning small ones...so it doesn't take a whole year to manage your map down.
@@mikewillis9411 so once I spawn some big ones I let them live and shoot the small ones and then what??
This is bizarre, I have the exact same grind thanks to you. I finally bought TA just to grind Fallow. I've got 7 stacked diamonds and just shot out the big solo's and swaped them with the small ones in my main herds.

I just got my first great one! he is a pretty Fallow! the funny thing is i got it like 30 mins ago right when you posted this! i would have said my dream great one was a fallow but i guess i already got him!:D it took only around 100 kills too get 3 rare does. 3 diamond Bucks. AND my great one! in only around 100 kills its crazy!

I had 42 fallow drink zone on Te Awaroa when I moved to Hirschfelden for red deer, hope my zones didn't disappear. My best rare red deer on this grind is a level 7 mela.
Before I got my super rare I had a big influx of that rare for me it was piebalds and I hope you can get another super rare soon

Hello I am shooting the diamond harvesting it then shooting the small deer in my shooting zone but the respawn is nowhere to be found
I shot a 242 mela fallow and that was the lowest on the estimate 😅
Is your kill counter live? I’m intrigued on how you get that set up?

Stupid question when i hear herd management I think of the herbivores does this also apply to predators ? I followed a weak version of this for my lion with a handful of tents
For the red deer greatone, should I slaughter accumulate the best ones, and kill the weakest level ones?

I restarted my fallow grind cause I had some solo respawns go to exteriors and now like 70% of my respawns go to solos and then only thing I might be doing wrong is not harvesting every deer I shoot 😅 maybe that’s the problem idk

I have no great ones yet. Tbf im not even Level 60, my best one yet is a Melanistic Puma and if i could have any great one it would probably be the moose!

I have been grinding whitetail on revontuli for like 6 months with countless diamonds still no great one. Over 20 diamonds
I don't know how many kills I have. I shot 56 Diamonds and 13 Piebalds so far. Most of the zones are Lvl 2s only. However I have 4 zones where I don't have constant respawns. For example there are 4 males, I shoot 3 of them and for a few days there is no respawn. At one moment there is a respawn but mostly just 1 Deer. Did I do something wrong? And not a single Albino or Melanistic.

I wish EW would re-work the animal spawn system already, with the way it is right now it ISN'T fun. We shouldn't have to abuse animal spawns for rare animals to spawn, I get they're supposed to be rare but this is just boring. I have 2098 hours on COTW and not a single great one, wanna know why? Because I don't abuse animal spawns. This game used to be good, until streamers figured out how to manipulate animal spawns and get literally anything they want in a couple days.

I’m having a hard time determining which zones should be main ones and which ones shouldn’t? For example, the really good lake with two small lakes in the top right of fallow region…I have a diamond fallow and a bunch of small 3’s and 2’s. Do I shoot the 2’s and 3’s or do I leave them and just focus on other zones? Do I shoot them hoping to switch them to another zone? And if so, what’s the best way to get them to switch?
Lady in ny red deer grind im 3800 kills in 72 dIMEs 14 rares and 3/4 of my last rares have been 7 very hard+ rares so i might have that great one soon.
And the great one i really want to have lions they pay extremely well and i would love the different furs-atop out😊
I don't understand any of this do I really need to do this just to get a rare animal I've been playing since before the dog dlc and I have only seen 1 rare animal a piebald duck that's it I don't understand all this herd management I just wanna play the game and still be able to get rare animals
Hi ladylegend, congrats on your mela and albino fallow i went back to fallow recently i got my third go in 137 kills i only shoot big lvl 3 fallow and up when shooting fallow or any animal always shoot the bigger ones i went to parque started shooting red deer there because i want a go red deer from parque i've shot 503 red deer so far
Got mine yesterday to spawn abt 150 kills but I used the wrong weapon and it went to gold instead of getting “great one” im so mad ill be grinding later a lot of my zones have 1-2s spawning so I don’t have to worry about them and now just focus on my main shooting zones!
Hi, what are some relatively easy species to grind in cotw? So species without too many drinking zones.

i've killed almost 1000 fallow during the setup of the grind, and while grinding, 400-500 ish the first handful of times, and then the last couple days just over 600. i've so far spawned 2 piebalds and somewhere around 15 diamonds, give or take a couple, i lost count.
i got up to 7 diamonds stacked at a time before i started shooting them, wasn't really able to stack more than that and despite having no big deer in solos or externals, they all immediately went down to 3s lol, slowly bouncing back up to 4s and some diamonds tho.

Im fairly deep into my fallow grind atm averaging a daimond every 20 kills or so, its been a lot of fun and was way easier to shoot down than red deer and whitetail have been
This was 2 days ago, I was going to do a Red Deer grind to get at least diamond, which is my absolute favorite diamond, and when I was discovering the zones on Te Awaroa, which I just bought, the second zone I saw had a 9 legendary as an initial spawn. It was the first time my hands were shaking after taking a shot at a diamond. At this time I only shot one red deer on this map before, which was a level seven.
Does anyone have any recommendations on the next diamond I should get?
