The best thing about the retro Eel is that is easier to get and the stand
Not enough changes for me personally but I got two of the regular classified release. This is perfect for those who couldn’t grab any of them. Same thing with the Retro Snow Serpents for me.
wow the stiffer plastic makes me much happier about the 3 or 4 I have on order for my cobra boat project. really looking forward to these now.
You can use acrylic arm stands to put him in diving or floating poses.
Retro is all about the cardback and colors for me. I didn't order Classified v2 Storm Shadow. A retro release may be a long way off, but I can wait.
Great job. I do love how they all but nailed the original figure. The retro card should have gotten a better gun and backpack but I’ll live with just the card and accessibility. Even though you can now find him most everywhere.
For my water pics with these fellas I just posed them in swimmy poses, removed the background of the pic and put them on water background, then added bubble/ripple water fx. Did the same thing with Mer-Man 😄
He's a pretty cool figure , I'm trying get a couple for an army, but right now i have all my monet tied up in Scuba diving. I wish the Eels were wearing drysuits instead of wetsuits, though. Gridiron Studios makes the best fins and dive mask.

Hi Punk from what I can see there is difference in the gray of the wet suit. The Amazon Eel is a Slate Gray where the Retro Eel is a more of a Slate Marine which looks alot better. This new Eel is superior in my opinion. Can't wait to get it. Great review as always Punk. Peace 🤘
I always order three of the troop builders and I already have three of the first Eel and three of the deluxe Snow Serpent. If I knew of the retro cardbacks beforehand I would have gotten one of each and troop build the retro, because these new ones look like the proper troops and the originals are some kind of unofficial officer, judging by the deco and accesories.Anyway, I have three of each retro on order as well...

I agree is this case alot of people did not get a chance to get them the first time and that includes me ......And have had to got to ebay a buy a few with inflated pricing ........So i consider this a good thing a solide finally now it is time to get a fare number like i wanted in the first place
Yea i will go to Gride Iron studios and pick up my eels the right weapon but thats okay ......Now every thing in the world of Gi joe is good in regards to EELs now i move on to the snow serpant..........
