- GI Joe Classified Jinx by Hasbro. In this review I’ll compare her to the O-Ring and look at her paint, sculpt and articulation. Sadly I come across a QC issue that I hope is just with mine, but I fear it’ll be on most of these figures.

Great review. I really think it's dumb when people don't want trigger finger hands on their ninjas, it's like they forget people like Storm Shadow and Jinx were first and foremost military *and then* ninjas.
We're talking about toys here, but that weapon is not something practical in real life. A naginata is a polearm with a long curved blade. This accessory qualifies for neither. At best, this is a double bladed spear (given the pointy end) or staff. You could call it a naginata or a pickle... neither are correct, but it sounds slightly less silly to call it a pickle.
It's a Chinese war staff. Japanese polearms would never have that kind of blade design....

I personally think the portraits for most of the female figures leave a lot to be desired.

You can tear small bits off the corner of a paper towel and put them in the hip socket to create more friction in the joint if her hips become loose over time. 👍🏻

Oh, that leg popping off like that is not good. Yours is the first review that had that happen, so I hope it’s an isolated incident. My first Low Light did that so I sent it back for another one. Second one has been great! But I hate to think we are back to the QC problems of late last year.

On the sword, it's not serrated. In sword smithing, it's called hamon (刃文) (from Japanese, literally "edge pattern") That wavy line is a visible effect created on the blade by the hardening process. The swordsmith places clay along the back of the sword when quenching it so that the quench most affects the blade and least affects the back. This makes an exceptionally hard and sharp edge and a durable back.

@@Apunkwithtoys yeah but I too had the original Jinx from the 80's and personally I'd rather Jinx uses the double short Ninjatō swords rather than a long samurai blade that's normally worn at the hip.
She has a steel plate in her shoulder, and the sword attaches by magnets. 😂
They not a serration on the blade it’s called hamon which is a wave pattern that indicates the technique used to forge and quench the blade. It’s also like an artist signature.
Love how she looks. I think there must be some weird safety compliance issue with the diaphragms. That should work just as well as the crunch. I managed to crank Scarlett’s pretty well after some very hot water, was pleased with that

Punk, my night force tunnel rat had the same leg issue. Hasbro sent me a new one no problem & was able to keep the one with bad leg as well 👍🏽

That short hair makes her look like Juliette Lewis from “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape” which is a good movie but not good look for Jinx. Second thing, thoes knee joints look like crap, but still not horrible like Marvel Knights Dare Devil. Maybe we get retro version that looks like it should!
I agree on the legs. But it does look like the legs are working. So it wouldn’t bother me that much.

I m very impressed with the face sculpts and body line, it s beautiful, attractive, quality, art.
I don t like tattoos, but it makes a cool particularity for a character, eh, it s a one position deal, it can t be helped.

that s the trick now, always go at the ankles, working them warms them up, and 'stick' better
temperature makes them fall... on my dios, suddenly, after hours, days, they just fall... sun, or temp drops changes the friction.

If I’m not mistaken and someone in the comments may have mentioned but I saw that Jinx according to pulse releases next week for US preorders
I canceled mines for this entire wave due to my experiences with the shifting dates and inconsistent ship schedules for US customers, some folks got RC BH from Amzn US two weeks ago while mine sat in order received since before mid May, and I put that order in not long after they went up for preorder. Hasbro pulse said 7/8 for Jinx but doc on the other hand is sept. I just canceled them on amzn and pulse and ordered from an individual who can ship sooner -all should arrive this month for this wave for me.
I think the easier women to stand up are cover girl and both lady Jaye, and the first classified Scarlett but posing is a challenge for all of them and the arms are definitely a problem for CG

Dates are always changing other than Target exclusives, those seem to be set in stone.

Jinx is my favourite female character from G.I. Joe, I'm hoping for a retro card version because I'm not sold on this version yet, might change my mind if i see her in the stores. Don't like the tattoo on her, hope they paint her naiks on the retro carded version. The staff is called a Naginata. If the name was top secret to begin with i wish they would keep it that way. Could it be the hip pegs aren't long enough for her legs to come off so easily?

Someone mentioned you had the same problem with the legs that I did. It happened as I’m recording and her right leg just comes off easily. Feels like it doesn’t fit in the ball joint properly Nice review!
They have been making the hip joints with more access to the ball joint. So you can take them off without heat. Look at lady jaye’s hips vs jinx or retro scarlett. Not sure if its a concerted effort to make the legs easier to take off or a byproduct of the new hip channel
She is totally going to get a retro release…..at this point you can tell the figures they plan on doing retro releases of storm shadow V2 , doc and jinx I grantee all have retro card figures coming at some point
Now that the retro cards are to stay we will see lots of figures on those cards.
@@Apunkwithtoys it’s like the only reason they put flames on torch’s pants pockets is so later they can sell a card back version with out them and some other very minor changes. Or they put that grey pattern on the top of quick kicks pants and gave him a red back pack instead of a black one so they can change those two things and sell him as a card back figure …….im not buying every one twice over little silly things like that I just get the retro figures that there is actually a big difference between the two versions like Duke , scarlet beach head and reconndo but I’m not buying storm shadow because he’s one shade of a lighter white and has gloves instead of bare hands 🙄

Great review. The figure looks awesome. However, the leg issue is worrisome.
My Zaranna's arms won't stay on. But my cover girl is fine. I'll let you know if jinx has the same issues when mine comes in

That’s kind of nit picky , stupid and silly people bitching about the tattoo thing 🙄 people act like they should get a hot toys quality figure for $25 they do have a budget when designing these figures and it has to be used accordingly. if they used extra paint apps to make her tattoo go inside her elbow guess what now something else has to get cut to keep her in budget so now she can’t have the extra head or now we have to charge more for the figure. People act like they are aloud to do whatever they want and just choose not to 🙄 for the price point and what you get these are the best figures on the market right now…….and people don’t seem to understand little paint apps are one of the more expensive things to do and why there always a bare minimum

My issue with the figure is the hips and legs are to slim and skinny. Women have wide hips. Even skinny women have wide hips. The pants should have been baggier. Because her legs are so skinny the legs look too long.
I hope they correct this with a retro carded version.
Is it just me, or is her chest a different skin tone from her neck?!
Its hard for me to keep justifying 25 bucks for loose joints and arms and legs popping off. Ive had alot of them that have had these issues.

I’m not crazy about that head sculpt. The head looks a hair too big, giving a slight bobble head look.
