I had a bunch of folders but Kershaw and crkt from bi-mart were kind of my top . Until I found blade hq on UA-cam . Through watching their videos I found your channel and really liked your style . Don't know if your as knowledgeable as you sound but if not you do a great job inspiring confidence . So then I started calling down the rabbit hole . My wife is very supportive of my love of knives and buys me most of what I have acquired over the last year . 2 -ZT ,5-Benchmades ,2-Spyderco . And so far this 0562 TI is the best feeling one of them all . Hard to describe the feeling it gives me but you know . Thanks for all your videos
I ordered one of these for myself for my birthday and I really wasn't sure I'd like the scales. I like aggressive texturing for grip on my knives (retired LEO/private security here). But the ergos on this knife are PHENOMENAL. The flipper action is SLICK. I'm so glad I snagged one of these. My new EDC to replace my Gerber 06 Auto.
Have many knives that are both more or less expensive than the Ti but it is still the knife in my collection that ALL others are judged against The action and crispness of detent are just stellar my FF- PT Mordax is the only knife that sits on the same pedestal
I am a big fan of yours and SD knife reviews. If I remember correctly, the first knife I purchased was a Gerber Paraframe about 11 years ago and I thought it was great. Then, during a camping trip, I spent 30 minutes sharpening a tip of a branch into a spear only to find that the serrated edge of the blade had rolled over to the point of no return. Fast forward 11 years and I am an owner of Kershaw Leek, Spyderco Manix 2, Spyderco Native 5 S110V, Hogue Doug Ritter RSK MK1-G2, Giantmouse Ace Iona (sold), Cold Steel AD10, Kershaw Bareknuckle 20CV, Kizer Uprising, Kershaw Knockout M390 (sold), Cold Steel 4Max Scout, CIVIVI Praxis, Artisan Cutlery Wren, SOG Terminus XR (sold), ESEE-3 3D Black G-10, Viper Fortis, CIVIVI Elementum Copper scales (OTW), and finally Zero Tolerance 0562Ti (pulled trigger about an hour ago, which I will probably have to resell a couple of the knives to justify spending $280 for. But I do want to thank you for your videos, they have been a help in helping me make decisions on some of my knives. Keep it up!

My 0562ti has the mil lines on the lockbar cutout. It is a later model, like MUCH later with a series number in the 6ks, so I guess they added it back later. I much prefer having it there over not as it adds some flair.
The Fortis 2.0 is one of the most interesting knives out there (to me) currently. I love the design, I just wish is was made in the USA. Thats just me though. It seems to be getting a LOT of positive feedback!

I bought mine for €280,- and now, 11 months later, it is €390,- in the same store. Luckily I found another store selling it for €300,-.
Do you know what the width dimensions are for the handle and when the knife is closed. I can’t seem to find them anywhere. I know the lengths and the thickness.

I have knives I like to use for tools I like knives that I think look good I have knives that I think are good effective weapons etc etc and then I have knives I just love like they have their own soul... One of my knives that I love like that is the Cold Steel Urban Dart I don't know why it's just like a piece of art to me!
I ended up picking one up. My first purchase. I love it. I thought it would be slippery but with the lock side it actually provides traction to the palm and the flipper acts as a handguard in a way. Love how it just snaps open. I am currently looking for other color options for the hardware. Just can’t decide on color. You are right about this being a gateway folder. Since receiving this I’ve purchased two xm18’s. I just picked up a vintage version yesterday and should arrive sometime next week. Love your uploads I find myself watching them over and over 😊
I own a 0562 & 0562cf and have been waiting for ZT to finally come out with the 0562ti. That being said I think ZT is price gouging a little at $280. Should be $240 or even a little less.
Titanium prices have actually risen recently. As far as what they're making on these, I'm not sure. But compared to the price of their g10 and cf models, I think the extra $ is fair.
@@metal_complex i wish it didnt do that but hey, i dont think it's really a deal breaker. And we are humans, we can adjust and get used to something real quick 😄
@@metal_complex yeah man, it was actually barely noticeable when you were opening and closing it. But it was a constant issue since the original 0562's were released so i had to ask
those mill lines are from going from more of a 3d machining to side milling (using the side of a endmill instead of the end) just faster and easier to do :(
Late to the party on this model but just received mine a cpl of weeks ago...mine has a serial number of 9713 😂 Mine does have the milling lines on the lock bar cutout, so I wonder if only early models didn't have that. I don't mind the black hardware, but I actually just ordered some titanium blue ano spacers & hardware.
Ive owned both. The Carbon fiber version has the visual appeal because it has more contrast between the CF and blade, but the ti feels like a power house, and has that "complete" feeling. Both kick ass.
Hi I have been wanting to get this knife for the past few months now, but I’m fairly new into collecting knifes I only have about 10 knives now most are Spyderco and a couple Benchmade’s and a couple budget knives with D2 steel. I guess my question is this knife worth the $280 price tag or is there something else that’s newer because I realize this review is at least a year old. CLO27 I did get the 0562Ti and it’s awesome well worth it. Now I’m looking at the XM-18 3” Hinderers but I can’t decide if I want the flipper or non flipper in the 3” variant any suggestions?
@@JJ-lu6mg I can't help you there because I just started myself. I have a spyderco pm2, spidiechef, and the 0562ti. The only suggestion I would make is take it slow and enjoy what you have because your tastes in things change after a while.
LOL!! There's a $100 CAD markup for the Ti 0562 ....If only ZT offereted the Ti in olive green or blue. With knurling....Like grey but....why not offer a few more colour choices for the Ti scales?? The lug..back spacer...etc.
They're a business. Not a charity. The mark up on food for example is a much higher %. There are plenty of retailers like USA made blade who offer alternative ano work. Ready to order when in stock
Great, detailed review. I freakin' love ZT knives, they have designs and specifications that appeal to my needs and aesthetics. This is one that went immediately to my Bookmark Folder of purchasing....someday. Personally, I much prefer this over that XM-18, that one is a bit too 'bling' for me, haha. I do agree with the pocket clip issue, not sure why ZT, and other companies keep using these when they rather quickly begin to show wear and standout like a sore thumb. Hopefully, in the future they will begin using something else as a standard on their releases. On a side note, thumbs up to Ricky using the Hedonic Treadmill reference, that was spot on and not something I thought I'd encounter in a knife video.
Naa, I love the black accents on mine and wouldn't change it for nothing. All silver is just boring and black and silver is my fav color combination so it's perfect. I'm extremely happy with mine, especially since mine has the mil lines on the lockbar cutout unlike yours there which adds character.
I own a 0450 and thinking of getting this new 0562. I’ve recently discovered a number of videos of owners showing massive lock up failures with just about all of their zt knives. Wondering what other zt owners think about this and if they are having similar issues with their zt knives.
I just bought 1 and did u have to oil it after 30mins of having it in ur hand because it was squeaking like an old rusty hinge cause I'm not sure if this is normal or if it's just a bad knife or if its overrated and overpriced?
Nice but $20 for the G10 upgraded Chinese version or $60 for the upgraded carbon version of the original with same 20CV blade that you can test and has been tested to be true you really have to ask what are you really paying for? And you can bet this Ti will come available pretty soon also. Thanks but no thanks for the original if you can save hundreds and actually get upgraded and better knife or at least the same quality. The funny thing is that most wouldn't even spot the differences or would put the original as the Chinese version if you had them side by side.
Your money for two identical knifes that have the only very minute aesthetic differences on the stopper and screw or on carbon model tighter weave. Same knife. I could argue the so called original is only boxed outside China.

I have the CF version and I sanded and polished the pocket clip to match the titanium. Fantastic knife.

The ZT 0562ti is the best. The 0562 in general is just the best.
Does it have a free spinning pivot? Or did zt make it d shaped? That is the only thing I do not like about 562.

Truthfully, no. If you like CF more than ti, go for the CF! Functionally, they are exactly the same.
Do you find the scale slippery? I like the looks but worry about it slipping when my hands get sweaty

Personally I LOVE the black hardware. It gives a little pop to the Ti but I do agree with the satin clip tho. I'll probably sand and polish mine.

Just got mine a few days ago. The pivot screw keeps popping off away from the scale. Should I remove and apply loctite or Teflon tape?
Loctite is the way to go! Use 242.

I have a chance to trade a Sabenza 31 with black micarta inlays for a ZT 0562TI and a ZT 0450cf should I do it? I never carry the Sabenza.

Why would it matter if it closes when you beat the back against something? That's like worrying that your car won't drive upside-down on the road.
Yonder Bagel sometimes when I use knives they can get stuck and I have to work it out. That forward pressure can cause it to collapse on itself.
