Hey Y'all, welcome back to another video in our Turkey travel vlog series. Today we are traveling down the west coast of Turkey, also known as the Turquoise Coast!
Our first stop on our road trip is the town of Dalyan. The town sits on a winding river, between a huge lake and the lovely beach of Iztuzu. On the way to the beach, we saw some beautiful Carian tombs, which are carved into the cliffside. At the southern end of İztuzu Beach is the turtle rescue centre, established in 2009 largely through the influence of an English woman named June Haimoff. She campaigned for years to save this beach from development. We were lucky enough to meet Captain June and hear her story! This center has saved many loggerhead and green turtles from injuries done by fishing hooks, nets, and boat propellers. dalyanturtles.com
After that, we made it to the town of Fethiye where we enjoyed a seafood dinner right on the water. The next morning we took a boat cruise from town that brought us to a few islands as we sailed along the stunning Turquoise Coast.

I"m going there in August of this year, what town / city do you suggest to have as base camp and venture out from there to the different locations along the coast? Would you suggest Fethiye or Bodrum for a hotel?
Hi guys! I'm new in your channel but I really liked it. I wanted to ask your advice, I'm currently in Antalya, but my gf and me would like to rent a car to go to other beaches at least during the weekend ( max 3 hours away from Antalya) we basically want to relax at the beach ,since we have been traveling for a while without stop. There are a bunch of options on internet , so it's too much 😅 I would rather take your recommendation based on your road trip. Thanks a lot and greetings from a Chilean/Indonesian couple traveling in Turkey
There are so many options and they are all beautiful so you guys are going to have a great time no matter which ones you choose. Since you are driving from Antalya we would say Cirali! Clear water and pebble beach set in the cutest little beach town and also Kas would be a great option! I believe Demre was were we saw the turtles and the beach is big no nice but cirali was smaller and the water was crystal clear! Hope this helps and have a great time!

Why didn't you just get the dolmus (bus) back to Dalyan from the other end of the beach.I have never heard Fethiye pronounced Fetahri before.

5:26 did u pay 100 lira for 2 bottles of water ? thats a robbery.
We actually don’t know what we paid 🤦🏻♂️Was way too thirsty by that point.
There's no way they would sell a small bottle of water for 100 lira. In this kind of touristic places, the prices might be twice or triple more expensive than the regular price. But the regular price is between 1-3 liras.
Fe-ti-yeh' or better yet "Makri" (Ma'-kree) as the historic name is (in Greek).
