Kind of similar to the NY Rangers trading Mike Gartner during the ‘94 season and they go on to win the Cup without him. He wasn’t a long time member or team captain but he had a lot of career success (except postseason) without a Cup.

Love the Blues's style of hockey. Unrelenting forecheck and finishing plays. Oh, and they have great skill. Binnington is now legend. Well deserved. After watching this again I have to tip my hat to the wonderful hockey fans of Boston still in attendance. Hockey fans are the best. So much heart, and love.

Before tonight we had the "Monday night miracle" which forced another game, but now our "Wednesday night celebration" is going to be the most remembered event in our playoff history. WOW! WOW! WOW! What a feeling knowing St Louis has officially won all 4 major American sports championships!

I was actually in Boston waiting for my flight when I saw my 2nd favorite team win the Stanley cup! If I wasn't on the plane I would have called my grandpa to congratulate him! He's been a Blues fan since the beginning. If it wasn't my team, I was sure as heck happy that he's live to see this great time in history.

52 years man, my dad was a fan when they first started off in '67 and 22 years later he'd play Blues games on the radio when I was just a baby getting baths in the sink. I've seen my old man cry at both his parents' funerals, and last night marked the third time. This is incredible.

I haven't cried much in my life, watching the Blues win the Cup finally was one of those moments.
The way Tarasenko reacts at 0:55 hearing that the Cup is going to the fans in St. Louis (not _back_ to the fans because we never had it in the first place, dumb Bettman) is exactly why we love him so much. He did it for us as much as he did it for himself. I love him and I love this team!!!! 💙💛

I've seen this region get looked down on as inferior, despite being the 18th largest metropolitan region in the country. My great great uncle was Seth Martin who was one of the first goaltenders for the Blues. He passed away in 2014. I wish he was alive to see the team he was on at the beginning win.

CDC 67 You realize 5 of those goals were deflections, 3 were one-timers, 1 took an unpredictable bounce, and only 3 were misplays? Rask made WAY more mistakes than Binnington. Plus Rask let in 4 goals last night, he did no better than Binnington did in game 6.

On a side note,I'm glad Alex Pietrangelo gets his moment to shine. I've always had conversations with my friends about how underated he is and that the core of the blues defense would have never been the same without him,especially considering this year's edition.
