Hey everyone! I want to hear from you! What's your name and what grade do you teach or are you in school? Thank you for all the love you constantly give me 😘
The Lettered Classroom I teach third! Like you, I'd love to drink more water but we don't get a break until 11:30... and I have to use the restroom when I drink a lot of water!! The struggle 😂 love your vlogs!!
this whole video is so worth it to finish! it gave me alot of tips and i just feel extremely motivated and inspired. you not only inspire kids, you inspire me as an undergraduate pre service teacher and i really appreciate your videos!
I'm catching up on your vlogs & spent my first day student-teaching kindergarteners. You reminded me to finish my water! lol I'm really bad at that too, especially when the day is so busy & goes by so fast! Love your videos!
Hi! I'm in school and live in London, and I really want to be a primary (elementary) school teacher!! I've watched a load of primary teacher UA-cam channels, but yours is by far the best, and you make me want to be a primary school teacher even more! Thankyou so much xx
Hi Bridget! I'm a fourth grade teacher just like you. I teach in South Jersey and I have been teaching fourth grade for 29 years....WOW! I love your videos and I love learning from you....even after being in the classroom for so long! You rock girl and thanks for all you do!!!!❤
Hi :) My name is Carly and I am a senior history teacher from Australia. I teach 10th,11th & 12th grade. I find it so interesting watching your vlogs and seeing how different it is not only in America but also in such a younger year level. I wish I could vlog & show you how our schools are here down under hahaha!! I love watching these & feel a lot of the struggles are the same no matter what we teach 😀 xx
I am in 8th grade! I really want to be a teacher when I grow up. I actually do home school with my 5 younger siblings! I love all your videos. Thank you so much for posting them!!!
Hi Bridget, My name is Lily and I teach kindergarten in the Sunshine State of Florida. I'll share with you that I am secretly wishing you return to kindergarten purely for my own selfish reason. I love all you do. You have given me tons of ideas for my classroom. You are a true inspiration.
Hi! My name is Janell and I always get excited when I see you've posted a new video. I have been a para-educator teaching remedial math for 12 years, then I spent 1 probationary year as a 4th grade ELA/SS teacher. It was literally hell. After a year off, I am now subbing and I love it. I hope to become a classroom teacher again in the near future. I have learned so much from your videos. An inexpensive idea about your graded work: binder clips and nail polish. Paint the spines of the binder clips to correspond with the homerooms. They should fit fine in the file folders. Please add a link for the clear plastic folders. =)
Idea: since you have two classes you could have two bins with sets of numbers, one for each class. Or another set of hanging folders and color the number label white for one class and yellow for the other
HI! I know you probably answer this questions a lot but I´m new at your channel. What do you teach? Which level? I love your channel! Greetings from Costa Rica!
Hello!! My name is Kelly and I teach 4th-5th grade in a special ed self-contained setting. My school is in South Carolina. Thanks for giving us insight into your life! Great videos ( even for those of us who are veteran teachers😋)
Hi ,that`s really interesting. My daughter is in Shanghai China right now at an IB school. She teaches the very little ones during the week ,and one class of pre teens on a Saturday.Hope you`re enjoying your experience as much as she is?:)
Hafa Adai! I'm Paulie, I teach 3rd grade in a small island called Guam. Thank you for sharing your videos. It's been so helpful! I had just bought your conference pack and I was wondering if the sheets in the binder you're showing will be available? I actually thought they would be in the conference pack. Thanks again!
I'm sorry. I do my best to list and describe what is in each product. Which sheets are you interested in? If you are thinking of the ones in the clear binder, those are task cards that I found on Tpt.
I would love the ones in the black binder, like the Learning Targets week January. I did read your description for the conference pack so no sorry needed :) I would love to have what you have in the binder so I can set up a sample binder. Since this is all new for me and my students. I hope I don't sound silly. Thank you again!
+Paulie Benavente - My black binders are for my student Data Binders. I do have them available but it is a work in progress (charts only), so I am occasionally up dating the files. Here is the link to those. bit.ly/2jU2b6w - I also have a video about how I used data binders in Kindergarten. The charts are different, but the idea is the same.
Hello. My name is Allison and I teach English Language Learners. This is my second year teaching K-5 students using a pull-out model. I've taught 6th, 5th, 4th, and 2nd grade over the past seventeen years. Even though it's my second year at this new position, I'm challenged by organizing and planning for six different grade levels daily! I also use two sets of standards - CCSS and WIDA "Can Do" descriptors. I love your videos and get so many ideas. I just need to clone myself or maybe you can clone yourself and come to Colorado and share your wonderful talent! Keep the Vlogs coming!!!!
Hello Bridget! I'm Angela I teach 4th grade in Owosso I love my class dearly and this is my 2nd year can you please do a video on an updated 1st/2nd year tips tricks and basics??
what about creating same coloured files for your second class ie the green, but then have the tabs a different colour, I think that would be quicker to file work without having to find the files within files. Just a thought, might be cost effective.
Hi Bridget! I teach special education in Farmville, Virginia! I'm ALSO a student because I'm in school to get my masters degree in special education. You 200% inspired me to make my own education blog and I have been loving it! Side note, I would love if you could make a video about your student's iPads and the apps they use. Where I teach we don't have any of those and I'm so interested in the apps you talk about. Much love and thanks for the long video!!
Thank you so much for watching! I have had this video on my 'To Do' list for months. I have found that this list is CONSTANTLY changing. I might wait until closer to the end of the year due to those issues. Apps are wonderful until they start working against each other in terms of organization and duplicated entries. I would prefer to have a few apps that are 'Core' apps and then the supplemental apps. I will do this video at some point :)
I don't know that I will put them on my store. I did give the font to all of my Patreons and the LP sheet was given to supporters who signed up at that level. www.patreon.com/TheLetteredClassroom
You inspire me so much to become an elementary school teacher! 😀 I have exactly 1 year until student teaching and will graduate in April with my Master's degree in Elementary Education! I am hoping to teach 4th or 5th grade! 😀 What are some important traits to being a great elementary school teacher?
Roderick Woodard dedication and the ability to change. We have to be flexible . Our schedules change, things happen and education is changing. We need to change with our kids. Best of luck to you!
Thank you for this advice! Both as a grad student and Paraprofessional, I learn this more and more each day! I have also learned to be more positive as well! 😀 Our kids need the best of us each and every day! 😀
I am a teacher of English as a second language in Morocco. I have a question for you guys, apart from lesson plans, what others documents should I have to help me get more organised and systematic? Thank you

Lauren, special education life skills (moderate to severe ) ages 7-11. Graduated with master currently working on post master admin degree. Love watching you!
I'm Elly and I 'm switching from teaching second-graders to teaching 5th Grade Language Arts and Social Studies. Which software do you use to create your fonts? I'm obsessed with fonts and often think about creating my very own! :)
That feeling when you realise you are one day ahead of yourself- not cool. Nice to have the delay in the am though. Does school finish later in the day because of that?
Hi, Bridget! I'm Rachel and I teach third grade. I love your videos and ideas! Also, I've checked Amazon and I can't seem to find the exact plastic document folders you are using for your task cards. Hello! My name is Moira and I teach Kindergarten in Chicago. Not sure if I missed it but where do you buy those folders? I would love them to organize centers!
Hey Bridget, I am an 8th grade Civics/Economics teacher in Virginia! I wanted to ask- how do you make all of your worksheets/handouts/assessments look so uniform? What is that AWESOME font you always use? I tried downloading some fonts from tpt and I guess I'm just not great with technology because I could not figure out how to use them when creating a document in Word. Eek help! Love your videos!!
Hey Heather! I don't think that I will share the fonts that I use on my products. Those products are the main way I can support my channel. There are plenty of great fonts available for free and for purchase! If you do decide to create TpT products, remember that you need to have permission from the designer to use it for commercial purposes. I believe that most of the ones on TpT include that language when you purchase a font, but they don't allow it on their free downloads. So you have new fonts, that's great! Unfortunately, it is a different process for adding new fonts depending on what system you run - PC vs Mac. I'm sure there are plenty of UA-cam videos giving this instruction, but it really isn't that difficult once you have a walkthrough of your system. Good Luck!
Ok great- The main reason i ask isnt for TPT but for myown classroom assignments. Everything Ive created over the last few years looks different and not fun! Was just wondering if there was some secret to getting new fonts... Thanks for the reply!
Got ya. If you are not going to sell on TpT you can find LOTS of fonts on sites like dafont.com. Then search UA-cam for "How to install fonts on Mac/Windows". Some are drag and drop, some you need to drop in correct folders and some install themselves...again it just depends on your system.
Alex Lira I'm not a teacher yet but I will be doing my student teaching in the fall and I am pretty shy but I think once you get the hang of what your doing and get to know the kids you will be good :)
I am very much an introvert :) No matter what you decide to do, I believe you should consistently push yourself into stepping beyond your limits. (That is exactly how this UA-cam channel started) I suggest you find a way to volunteer with children and see if that helps you feel more comfortable. I find that working with children is a completely different world anyway. Good Luck!
The Lettered Classroom thanks for the reply. I actually worked summer camp for a couple summers now and loved the interaction with kids. I will definitely look to volunteering in schools and see how that differs. :)
Hello. I'm a first year Kindergarten teacher and I'm having first year blues. I feel as though I have no idea what I am doing and like I am a horrible teacher. Any advice?
I am going to be extremely real with you and say that I have felt the same way this year. It is definitely a struggle and I recommend surrounding yourself with positive people and focus on one item at a time. Hang in there and know that you are not the only one. I feel for you and it will pass. Best of luck!
Brittne O'neal- just scrolling through and saw this. It's a natural feeling! some days are overwhelming and you can't predict how the students will be. I'm sure you're doing a fabulous job. Stop and think about your recent successes. Good luck and have fun 😊
hi! i teach kinder in califorina, have been teaching 30 years! i find you very inspirational, i love your personality, so cute! do you have a teacher dress code? why can't you wear jeans when you want? keep up the good work.
I'm a first year fourth grade literacy teacher and I was SO excited to find out you were moving to 4th! 🤗 You've been so helpful to me this year! We use textbooks, so our students learning isn't as individualized and I feel a little limited creatively, but I love your ideas! I've struggled A LOT with trying to be perfect and do everything, but I've had to realize I'm only five months in and it's okay not to be perfect! Thanks for all the inspiration! Also, can you tell me where the task cards are from on TpT? Thanks so much!
do you have any suggestions of class read aloud books for theme/ character issues. We are currently working on comparing characters and themes between two texts. My students are in book clubs to read one book and I would like to do a class read aloud for the compare text. Although, I am at a loss for what book to use for my read aloud.
I teach 4th grade also. My students are often very uninterested in baby stuff. I teach in a city school and the book needs to be high interest for more mature 10 year olds.
I've never read it myself, but I've heard that the book Maniac Magee is wonderful for teaching character traits and analysis. It's recommended for children in between grades 3-6. You should definitely look into it.
Hi! My name is Monique & I teach 5th grade in Arizona. I have a question- what's swimming? Do your kiddos take actual swimming as a special? I've never heard of that. 😌
Our High School has a pool! Each fourth-grade classroom in the district has a designated 10day period where the students are bussed to the school and given lessons by swimming instructors. It does not replace standard specials or gym. I was not familiar with it as well before moving here. While it changes schedules significantly during those days, it is a fantastic opportunity for the students!
Hi from London! I love listening to your routine and your ideas. Our setting in England is so different. I would love to have tables like yours in our school and the size of your classroom is huge.
I purchased those tables for my classroom. Our school supplied us with standard desks. I do have a nice sized classroom ;) Thank you so much for watching!

Hi there! I love your videos! I was curious what camera you use for vlogs and for your main channel videos.
I have added all of my vlog gear to my Amazon store. The Lettered Classroom thanks!! I'm looking to do some upgrading for my channel and have been struggling with where to start!
I would love to have the G7xMII! Mine is fine but I think the new one is a nice step up :)
I have noticed that the tripod has made vlogging a much better experience as well. I would consider that a mush for sure. The one I have is top of the line, but I was happy with a few $10 ones for a long time.

Although, I am at a loss for what book to use for my read aloud.
xxtorixx93 I might be able to give you some suggestions depending on the grade level you are looking for
I teach 4th grade also. My students are often very uninterested in baby stuff. I teach in a city school and the book needs to be high interest for more mature 10 year olds.
xxtorixx93 The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane is magnificent for teaching character traits and change!
I've never read it myself, but I've heard that the book Maniac Magee is wonderful for teaching character traits and analysis. It's recommended for children in between grades 3-6. You should definitely look into it.
I am in 3rd grade my name is Tre'von

Tyrone wolfe I teach kindergarten next year I'm going to teach 4th grade
Hi from London! I love listening to your routine and your ideas. Our setting in England is so different. I would love to have tables like yours in our school and the size of your classroom is huge.
I purchased those tables for my classroom. Our school supplied us with standard desks. I do have a nice sized classroom ;) Thank you so much for watching!
LoL what is wrong with your hair. Nice videos.
Oh my! That thing is driving me crazy!! Thank you so much!
