I think the difference between respected peers and locker room leaders these days compared to yesteryear is that the respect is earned through helping young talent, rather than enforced through fear to put someone "in their place".
I think it was pretty obvious that Tiffy Time was making it to the finals even without the 'leaked" reminders. The one question is how she somehow gets past both Super Bianca and Jade to make it there. Lillian Garcia looked great and gave Samantha her well-deserved praise. That praise is going to work the Samantha haters into a fit.
She get past Bianca because of of her kayfabe leg problems last week or uses some heel tactics like using the ropes Then Jade beats Nia with Nia causing Jade to lose in the semi-finals 🤷🤷

Lol no, because in kayfabe and irl Cody would be the guy to work multiple matches a night to defend both titles, instead of sitting on both titles for months and maybe defending one of them on his next TV appearance. Tiffany's involvement in the tournament thus far has been bizarre. Firstly, her initial match was buried on a house show and off TV. Then i noticed on a commercial in RAW yesterday, just after Liv was punched by Becky, she was pretty much the only participant not to be included in the advert, they even had IYO on twice. Surely if she was a potential fialist, or winner, her whole journey would be highlighted, not the opposite. It's like they are downplaying her on purpose which is bizarre considering she is popular, and seemingly a good merch seller and would fit the Queen gimmick perfectly. Not sure if it's on purpose to look like an undrrdog, or me over-analysing, but she’s looking anything but a contender at the moment.

Why couldn’t they let Dragonov beat Jey Uso? I wanted to see the Gunther vs Dragonov match. Dragonov is way more charismatic than Jay Uso by the way, I don’t understand why he isn’t getting this push.
They're saving Gunter/Dragonov for a PLE. Which, yeah, that's a fine thing to do but I genuinely don't understand why they put Dragonov in the KotR tournament to begin with knowing he'd have to lose before the Semis. Having him lose cleanly this soon after his call-up isn't a good sign.
I like Jey, yet I agree with you. That Gunther and Dragonov match would've been epic in the King of The Ring finals. I'd fly to Jeddah myself to watch it if I could.
Im not happy with Jey winninh too but its best to save Gunther vs Dragunov when theres an establisher story line between them
I think it was a way to get Ilja in front of audiences early, same as they're doing with Lyra Valkyria. But for better or for worse, Jey is ridiculously over right now, that's sports entertainment for you.
That said, WWE have a PLE in Berlin coming up in August, if this was about keeping Ilja and (presumably, King) Gunther apart until they can build to that, I can live with it.
