@@OledraMathewEddemaga It is clear that you are Ethiopia or a follower of Israeli laboratories. What is the deception that Egypt is practicing? First, Egypt is the one that supports the Nile Basin countries with $200 million in development aid, as a desert of excess water annually. Nasr is the one who built the Owen Dam in Uganda, which benefits from Egyptian money instead of letting the water flow to Egypt. Your excellency you spoke about under dvlpmnt in the tropics and how wetland distribution and Nile crop growth is destabilizing the rain system. Your excellency Uganda is an agricultural country and according to the agricultural knowledge we have is that the main problem is a world wide phenomenon. So the Nile basin initiative has to first consider that our country is landlocked, totally dependent on agricultural exports and being a fact that 60% of the rain comes from the ocean and 40% from local bodies it will be kind of hard to implement and lay out the consensus. Egypt has to wait for a constitutional amendment and governance in the country to work out its projects. Let's first deal with the problems at hand that's Uganda has to become democratic to sign agreements with democratic countries. The 600 million dollars you can use it to fund other projects in your country. As Uganda we are not in a rush to sell our Birth right.

I am Kenyan and for those Who don't know, my Countries Highlands is a net Contributor of the Nile Water Bodies through Lake Victoria Reservoir.
Water is a Natural Resource just like Oil and other Minerals and No country can impose itself and Cajole other Countries about their Natural Resources.
Currently and for Decades Egyptians through their Govt have adopted an Abrasive Policy on the Nile Source Countries. Great lakes have witnessed the Actions of Egyptian Govt especially in Regards to Ethiopia, the Somalia & Ethiopian schism and Eritrea disputes...
It is on Record that Egypt never offered preferential oil or Electricity tariffs to Sudan, Ethiopia or anyone since the Colonial Nile Treaties..
Ethiopia predates the Egyptians and the Colonists and wasn't party to those lobsided, obnoxious &archaic treaties.
Great lakes countries don't need Egypt and will Not Go to Cairo to Negotiate away their Natural Rights on their Resources.
I salute you Mr President.
The resource belongs to Africa, and the discussion should take place among African brothers. The Arabic country, which contributes 0% in the resource, can't dictate us what to do!!! Please, Egyptian, will you mind your own business😅 We Ethiopians, we are going forward!!!
Egypt is in Africa or do you not know geography
@@shafsteryellowthe Arabs came from Yemen and Arabia chased local Africans inhabited whole of north..and have the audacity to call themselves Africans....
@shafsteryellow Nobody is talking about geography! We are talking about the fact on the ground!!!
@@shafsteryellow
Did you change your mind? I thought you guys claimed that Egypt is in Middle East?????
When you meet Egyptian they claim to be from the middle east@@shafsteryellow
Thanks Mr. Museveni, we shall strive to balance a delicate balance between exploitation of our natural resources and conservation, using them intelligently with out compromising the well-being of our future generations.
Thanks 🙏 again Mr. President.
We are black, we are Africans, we will build Africa together
The great president pls teach them more. Thank you 🙏
Why some people think they have monopoly on the Nile n if anybody has aright on Nile.
My advice to Egypt friend is please sign CFA to benefit from Nile River.
Egypt needs to work on water conservation instead of building a desert city costing billions of dollars. If they want guaranteed water, they need to pay for it. No free water for Arabs
Egypt is no more the gift of Nile . Nile is the gift of God for Ethiopians❤
Ethiopia is ready to build another dam soon!
Uganda should also utilise the Nile waters to carry out extensive farming to support our farmers and grow our economy. Egypt should keep its bribes or aid.
we want some of that water in Kenya . Uganda is more blessed in that area
@perezscholes9110 kenya is one of the tributary donors that contribute to the Nile waters.
Those are spies let them do it in Egypt
A pragmatic and courageous visionary leader.
River nile is not Egypt resources but it is belongs to ethiopia, sudan uganda and others
Idk if it's just me ..but whoever came up with the idea of this seating arrangement where the president is seating like 'miles away' and on his own ....addressing them ...away from them but in the same room is Wild!!!!😂😂❤the power optics....😂❤🇰🇪
The Egypt delegate leader was wagging his tail like a dog infront of the president ...😂😂😂😂
He spoke well. I give him credit for that even though sounding more like trying hug the president with too many hands. He understands well the hostilities of other nations.
...why are they bothering his Excellency ...😋
Good points👍🏽👍🏽
Egypt, stop being underhanded everywhere the Nile basin have the right to use their African resources. Egyptians are selfish, they want to use the river alone
For every damage did to Ethiopian development by destabilizing, Egypt has to pay tens of billions of dollars and of course for each gallon of water 💦
Pr we will have great respect 🙏 🫡 for you we african love you long life africa united ❤
The solution is greater cultural exchange. People exchange. Provide thousands or hundreds of scholarships and everything will be OK
I think Ugandan must use the river Nile because of they're going to create more agricultures' and they get quick more products .
This man with social economics transformation 😂😂
😅😅 you noticed that too? Even every time he is in Kenya. He never says anything except "what is needed is socio economic transformation"...that is always his answer to every single thing he hears.
@@patriot_2022
Economic transformation, that all we need
That's why I love you Mzee, oli Omusajja mugezi❤
Oh NO waiting,...I disagree.."Okayanira ekisambi, nga ekiffi okikutte, Kiri munkwaawa" as the saying goes!!! Let's use what's offered & then design expanded integrated projects for more funds!! Eeeh!..."Omulalu wakuweera!!"
I discuss with leaders not politicians if you want to know a man's character or level of understanding give him money power and access to sex. We are talking about Ugandas future. We are more than the 600 million dollars and neither is President Musevenis government broke.
Building dams, cleaning water ways, preserve swamp areas.
I love my elder president viva and god bless for ever
The historical Nile river belongs to all of us in Africa. We can't personalize the waters that flow freely through Africa by the blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ. This river offers many blessings for those who understand why it starts in Africa and ends elsewhere. Everyone along the route must be allowed to enjoy its provisions.
Egyptians no choice you must come Africans brother sistern you play a lot of games with Ethiopian peoples never give up because there black tagger in East Africa
President mesoveny? If OAU,(AU) I and African leaders are practical and smart,Ethiopian Blue Nile & congo river can supply electricity to all,1.9 billion Africans ,is that not fantastic energy?
The problem with Egyptian politicians is a poor upstream countries mean a guaranteed water flow to Egypt. But the reverse is true...
They have to know how Nile is a key for Uganda. So please go sorry about our precious Nile. Its now you know
they came to negotiate but Museveni became their lecturer of Geography and history 🤣🤣
The source of problem for the Nile river, must be addressed equaly and solved according to the need of all the nile river water shed countries.
Why do not they use the same technique with ethiopia to ease tensions
Egypt: we built dams and canals and we filled them with Nile water. I don't need to ask a permission from anyone.
Other African Countries: Great, we also would like to do the same.
Egypt: No, you can't do that without my approval
Ethiopian gave a lesson to Egypt
Egypt must negotiate with Ethiopia. Intimidation does not work anymore. Negotiate before it's too late for you, Pharaohs.
Mr president please make your own DAM . This Egyptians doesn’t lessen ❤
u can't domesticate a snake.
As our good president rightly stated, kindly look into intensive investment in sustainable land use management, climate smart rainwater harvesting in the hilly areas of Kigezi (Kagyera watershed) , power generation and irrigation as a means of enhancing ground water recharge for quality of water flowing down stream to your great country
What is behind Egyptians' investment ?
110 million population,
Egypt's economy relies mainly on agriculture, media, petroleum imports, natural gas, and tourism.Since 1978, the United States has provided Egypt with over $50 billion in military and $30 billion in economic assistance.Ugandians, wake up.
😮😮😮
The problem is Ethiopia is just looking to challenge Egypt rather than cooperate with Egypt and Sudan
Fellow Africa Ugandan , I don’t want to tell you that always you should say “Uganda First”. You should always maximize your national interest. Egypt didn’t care about your country , it wants always making sure white Nile flows to her territory. They don’t give a shit for the level efforts exerted to preserve lake Victoria(white Nile source). Lower level Nile River basis country should share the cost of preserving the river sources which means in billions of dollars. You deserve it. Wise discussion to the best interest of Ugandans .
Egypt has no right to Nile waters. Nile water belongs to black africa not arabs.
Long live to Ethiopia
I find the Egyptian delegates speech disjointed and not making much sense. If you want to invest in another market or country , the rules of investment are there. Go ahead and invest. What has that to do with the Nile river basin countries?
Well they are dealing with the wrong man if they thinking of backdoor influence.
Congo is even the bigger player here which is least mentioned.
These arabs are settlers, not indigenous to Africa and we must deal so with them. Love from Ghana❤.
Well said... increase the volume plz
They asked UGANDA not to build a single DAM that's a joke
As one litter of fuel matters to middle east countries our one litter of water is the first matter to Ethiopia and other Nile basis countries
GOOD proposals by Egypt, which we Ugandans should also expand on, but It's time Egypt invested where it gets its water & food from; rather than up in Europe!!
Never trust Egypt's dictator. They came as investors to spy and sabotage everything you've then they will make you kill each other. Don't open even a tiny door.
Don't trust Egyptian they are spying the country not investment all ways they are back stubborn. Look the Arabs what happened to them they never say anything.
May be it is an excerpt, but I expected H.E. Museveni to conclude his explanation of the use of water resusources other than from the Nile (Abay) actors and ensuing evironmetal consequences without emphasizing Uganda's need to utilize ita share of the river.
Whats Egyptian interests on nile is it equtable use or colonial agrement that's the real question why they did distablized Ethiopia by full potential
They are fighting for their survival. They have no other source of fresh water other than the Nile. Any project on the Nile that disturbs the water flow and quality, directly affects Egypt.
@@kasulebriankalule2129Survival my ass. 1. Hydroelectric dam doesn’t prevent water from flowing to Sudan/Egypt. Sudan also have multiple dams on the Nile, why shouldn’t Ethiopia? 2. They use Nile water to grow RICE in the desert!! They do this for export to Saudi. Growing water intensive rice in the desert tells you everything about their view on the Nile.
@@ambessashield9360
Tell him just because you don't have drinking water that doesn't give you the right to take your neighbour's river...even though we all know that Egypt has a lot of underground water they play victims while robbing us blind
@@kasulebriankalule2129 In that case access to the Red Sea is also a matter of survival for Ethiopia...If you feel insecure about water that originates thousands if miles away from your territory then it is only fair that Ethiopia feels insecure about being locked away from the sea by walking distance which your country is responsible by helping Eritrea's secession and are still involved in grooming Eritrea to keep chocking Ethiopia...unfortunately the same way Somalia paid in lives and sovereignty, the same way Sudan paid in lives and sovereignty, mark my words Eritrea will pay worse price just so Egypt the con man of the region can continue prosper...!!!!!
Everyone knowns what Egyptian government is planning they r still in the era of colonization so faith for ur needs as they do.
It unfortunately for Egypt its at receiving end of Nile waterway. Egypt must buy Water from Upstream countries
Museven you are now grown up
Egypt contributed not a single drop of water into the Nile
Uganda must use the Nile as we please just like Ethiopia did, the few peanuts must not blind our leaders and the paper nonsense that was tailored by the British.
Egypt's selfishness is really too odd. How some one is trying to beg not to use its resources for Egypt's benefit?
Unity the continent jaja. Boarders must fall
Byagala okulwana ne Ethiopia olwa Water mulowoza mubyobwerere.
Ethiopia need cut international river and sell water AGANIST international river laws Egypt will not fight Ethiopia but if water cut Ethiopia never see stability or peace we offer cooperate not colonized policy as Ethiopia or west even china stole Africa
Why not egypt use the water under shRa desert than depending on blue nile then we ethiopians can use our river water for industral revolution of.ethiopia future ?
Egypt has no any plan other than ensuring the countries that are the source of the Nile River be reduced to bystanders and have no development benefit out of it without Egyptians' permission. They forget the fact that we can make use of the water for our own development efforts and still spare more than enough for their need. Greed and inconsiderate mindset is what they should overcome before they will be able to see the real picture.
Egyptian asked the Uganda president not to develop their water resources and that they would give him money
They are laying , the purpose is not what they are talking. Uganda need to watch out Egyptian poultices .
The River Nile basin is the Holy land.
President mesevony? To fight back the expansion ofshara desert, ethiopia and Uganda shoud work on reforestation to survive in future
Egypt also must pay for reforestation freeloading must end
You can buy such leaders for cheap price
i'm sure ugandans are smart enough to know this trick
You can tell the Egyptian minister was lying thru his teeth. He kept on rumbling about a NEVER coming investment, if Eggypt was interested in investing in Uganda where was it all these years all a sudden after the signing of the CFA Egypt wants to become a BIG investor 🤑🤑🤑ever since the S. Sudan certified the CFA Egypt has been very NERVOUS🤣🤣🤣
I really don't understand what museveni said. The problem is that Egypt is too much greedy on nile
Egypt is BRICS+ member now, Uganda became a BRICS+ partner. Let's see how this works out.
What is that got to do with anything
@@henos30 I guess you don't pay attention to the NEW WORLD ORDER. BRICS+ makes more money than the g7. The g7 is BROKE. BRICS+ is 45 percent of the world population. The WORLD is leaving behind the americans and europeans.
Egypt must not act selfishly and dictate to other Nile-linked countries using an old British crafted agreement. For example, ethiopia has a right to build a dam along the blue nile for electricity needs. Did egypt consult anyone when they built Nasser Dam???
Zero water for Egypt .

Did you say Egypt flows international transboundary water law?
Okay, did this act give Egypt 100% the Nile water while giving Ethiopia zero share of her own water? Pls explain
@ዋሰ who tell you thatLake Tana's annual revenue is 19 billion, of which Egypt and Sudan's share is 4 billion. The Til Basin in Ethiopia receives 450-600 billion in rainfall. Egypt and Sudan's share, including Tilna, is 49 billion. That is, what Egypt and Sudan get is 8%, and what Ethiopia gets is 92%. The Ethiopians are used to the depression and its allocation. These are facts to justify their colonial policy and their ambitions. The Ethiopians claimed that the dam is for development and the dam is a low-lying area not suitable for agriculture. There is also no electricity connection network with the Lana, but the population is in the highlands. Therefore, not a single Ethiopian has benefited from electricity. Sudan will not buy electricity because Ethiopia is infiltrating the Sudanese Fashaga and Beni Shangul and getting 1000 in the first place. From electricity from Nasr and almost for free and Kena will get electricity from the Tanzanian Dam and South Sudan Kalbat from Nasr to build a dam to provide electricity for it and also got solar power stations and the same thing Djibouti there is pumping investment to produce electricity to cover Djibouti's needs and export the surplus to Somalia and Eritrea
Manufacturing and the blue economy.
Y don't they come and invest it in uganda n other country where there is enough water resources
