The problem of our country Somaalia started in 1974. That's when we joined the Arab League. The whole world fought against us because we entered a door that was not our home. Siad Barre sold us Arabs and the Arabs brought us al-Shabaab. A dictator president is like a blind person. If you lead a blind man, he will throw you in a hole. Siad Bare threw us into a hole😅
Great oratory and wisdom. Perhaps not much seems to have happened in the 40 years of M7’s reign, but he’s speech directly highlights the challenges he’s faced as a leader in achieving sustainable development. I think he’s brought to light the intricacies of foreign policy and how governments must ask for the right support. He jests about capacity building and ICT communications which are very relevant but could certainly be more useful if we targeted these towards reducing production costs including transport and electricity - two of Africa’s main socio-economic issues. This is a landmark speech.

It's great to hear African leaders are building continuity. May Almighty Allah succeed in this progress. I, Uganda, born child, how will never forget the country. Every year, he plays a visit.
This is not a simple speech but rather it is a lesson that we learn nowhere even in Western universities. It is addressed to African leaders, dictators and puppets. Merci monsieur president Musaveni you teached them a lot.
Mzee has said it rightfully. Africa has to produce and add value from its natural resources to foster development. Significant change is in Africa exporting more than importing. I agree with Mzee Museveni. So much wisdom
When enslaved Africans realises that he is equal to his enslavers, his response will always be HELL TO THE NO!!!!! Great speech sir!! They are not ready for your great insights and wisdom👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 You will be viewed by the west as rebellious, but despite this keep pushing and challenging the status quo. Love and blessings✨✨✨
Wow ! President Museveni at his best 🎉 if this was a song it would’ve deserved an Emmy. This was simply a masterpiece! Will be played over by many for years to come .👏👏
Probably the only free man among them, or the only one with dignity , a lot of respect for this great man. its an insult for him to be among these people
Man with the right ideologies. M7's speech in Nairobi was so brilliant. When Uganda is down, at least we are respected for having a knowledgeable president. I bet there are any leaders that match his grasp of global issues.
Another priceless lecture! The only disciplined, well-read, his wife, children, grandchildren live in Uganda 🇺🇬 not hiding overseas as happens with politicians in Africa and the rest of theworld. He is sober, reads, Uganda 🇺🇬 foreigners and locals enjoy more freedom to start a business, get documents, stay there without harassment. We need to pray for this elder African statemsn - the last one in his boomer generation! Salute 🫡🖖!
This man melts my heart when I see him speaking from his soul. One thing that necessitates the need for raw material export is our own lack of quality education and critical scientific understandings. We need our now and future generation to focus on education primary in science engineering. For fundamental transformation, we need scientific and creative independence. Yet, our young people spend their days on the street and their children continue to do the same, and then, the shackle of mental slavery and dependency will continue.
@@moseskazungu1158 Uganda is indeed developing, however the fact that lots of Nigerians may live in Uganda would not be a growth indicator by any measure
Are you sure Uganda is where it was 40 yrs ago? Every country has issues. But Uganda has been one of the fastest growing economies @ 7 - 8% over the last 30 yrs. It's a documented statistical fact.
This president is wise for sure Museveni even if you are Old at Body but your mind is cleverer like that of a young man of 30 years old, thank you our president for speaking the truth to those who are responsible
President Museveni in this speech urged African leaders to discard some of the known economic theories and embrace some informed theories.President Museveni for example said that, the language economic sustainabilty should be replaced with continous economic growths and developments. He also adduced that value-additions are the way for employment opportunties and wealth creations for Africans
I wish this speech was there 2011 now Uganda would be middle class no doubt but it's not too late. We are going there now that industries are being built. Free zones and industrial parks are done. Only local and international investors should not have excuses. Uganda 🇺🇬 is open for opportunities.

I am against the Idea of foreign nationals always attending African meetings. It is impossible to make a successful development plan when you are strategizing at the same table with your oppressor.
Not only that, even talking about our strategies in our local media is wrong. Everything should be discussed behind closed doors. That's how Kagame and his team defeated French and Belgium soldiers who were behind the genocide against Tutsi in Rwanda in 1994. Everything was done in top secrecy and discretion, up to now, you'll never know what Rwandans are planning.
Stop it! Even the USA 🇺🇸 depended on African slaves, immigrants from the rest of thev world, and China 🇨🇳 to stay afloat although it's the most indebted country in the world!! No manufacturering going on for decades - service economy (podcasts, customer service but NO REAL TANGIBLE anything😮. Latinos are building roads and bridges and houses and the food!! Mr MUSEVENI has good ideas but he can't put them in to action, HE talked about the cost of electricity in Uganda but electricity in Uganda is very expensive
president Mosavine spoke in the name of Africa: " we need the "fish rod" not the fish". He declared that the commercial banks are ready to give loans for imports but loans for Uganda Development Bank is not available. that is a good lesson in economics for Africa.
Ahaaaa, what a naive statement. He recorded this cassatte he always reproduces it. Visit the country he's leading for 40yrs. He doesn't have even central Bank gouvenor... No sense!
