Beginner Launches 500HP Manual M2 CS
Thanks for tuning into yet another one of my videos! In today's video I launch Darryl's manual M2 CS. The only problem is that I kept having trouble with the 1-2 shift, so we worked on it for a bit and within an hour or two I launched the manual BMW M2 CS as a beginner manual driver. Of course I'd driven quite a bit in the past, but I'm by no means an expert. Today's video was beyond fun to make and I'm very grateful Darryl let me launch his manual M2 CS. If you want to improve the 1/2 there's 2 options.
1. BMS adjustable clutch petal bump. I have mine on the highest
2. Clutch delay valve delete
Also , not sure your miles, but I noticed the gate on 2 was less notchy after a few thousand miles.
When you leave the clutch delay valve in, you really have to be quick with your gas off/clutch in motion otherwise it revs up and hangs for 1/4 a second or so. Sometimes I hit the limiter by accident because if you're too quick on the clutch in before the gas pedal pops back, it blips up for a moment.
I haven't done a CDV delete yet though, plan to.

Hey bro! Thank you for this. If the car were mine I'd definitely run a clutch bump. As for the clutch delay valve, Darryl's been wanting to do that together for quite a while now. I believe it's at around 11k km / 7835 - I don't drive it often so not exactly sure. Hopefully the CDV works out well for both of us

@@collectingms3803 for what it's worth, the clutch bump is removable and adjustable. It's more stout than the stock bump too, which I noticed after just 7k miles was crunched in making the throw a bit longer than new.
You guys should both like a CDV delete. It's there to save the clutch and tranny from ppl who can't shift too good. But it ends up screwing up people who do know how to shift.

​@@gianni_schicchi Gotcha gotcha. Is it fully plug & play? Probably should've looked into it more, but I always thought it wasn't easily reversible. I'll definitely tell Darryl about it. Yep, that's what he's been saying. It'll probably be a winter project, but I plan on making a video on it

You did well. I have owned many manuals , other BMW ones, and I have problems launching my CS sometimes. I get the kangaroo hops. This gearbox is very sensitive.

Thank you! Darryl has said the same thing about the CS. Have you by chance had any other F8x manuals? Apparently all the F series M cars are a bit sensitive

Hope this video helps. 4months with my m2c and I still can’t get the 1-2 down. I wanna bang gears like you did and I can but, only after one. Need to be able to use them all. Gonna take her for a proper rip now.
When you launched did you just hold the clutch right before the bite point, rev to 2500, then dump the clutch and mat the throttle?

Hey bro! I'd say take a couple hours and do nothing but the 1-2 shift. You'll definitely get it down after that. What helped me most was letting the clutch out a bit faster than usual, going just a bit past bite point when putting the clutch in for 1st to second.
Yeah that's pretty much exactly what I did. Gotta let the clutch out QUICK or you'll get what happened the first time I tried launching
