Ben we will loyally watch any and all product video you upload until the end of time. Just love nerding out on parts and dimensions etc with you! Thankful for every upload!
Been skating for 10+ years and I’ve never paid any attention to wheel base or the steepness of nose & tail. You make me feel like I’ve been missing out on something, though I’ve ridden almost every board brand and never can tell too much of a difference
Decks have gotten silly expensive in Australia. Last American deck I rode was a PS amulet shape Welcome. Sticking to Folklore now, locally produced so around half the price…. Nice review, looks like fun!
This is my dream shape. This is pretty close to the Powell 243 I recently found. This is primarily because I wanted mellow kicks and short tail. The Powell is 18° on the kicks. I'm not sure why I like short tails and mellow kicks but it really feels just right to me.
I like both their tre flips, Ben's is more horizontal and cleaner Adrian's are quick snappy and more vertical pretty cool how everyone does tricks their own way
🤣 don't think in all the years of skating I ever spent even as long as this video on the specific details of the board you go over. It was only ever, whats the width? 😆 Love it though, you were pushing yourself hard in this one, gotta enjoy nice weather when ya got it 💕🤙
Whenever you post been i get so hyped and im a young skateboarder as well but you motivate me all the time keep going man dont stop skating even when you hit your 40s
I got one back in the end of December. You’re definitely right about the kickflips part, I notice that immediately upon first kickflips. I have the thunder hollow kingpin ones setup on mines.
22:10 Would love to know what your exercises consist of to be able to squat and lift up like that. As you know, us injured guys are a bit rustier than when we we are not injured. Maybe a topic for a new video?
Skateboarding market is very similar to the tennis market. There are racquets "endorsed" by X player, but the only thing that is the same or similar is the colorway and the shape. Weight, balance and other specs are completely different. So there are the decks with X skater graphics but the real deck is very different to what we find at the skate shops. The only exception that I know so far is the Anderson Egg deck. What you get is exactly what he actually rides.
Another sick video Ben your the man! I would love to see you do another 7.75 board to bring it back to old times ! Just a thought. Much love from Vegas 🙏🏼❤️
I haven't ridden a Disorder board but the mold does look good. The only thing I don't like about them is the graphics. I don't get if it's a generational thing but those graphics are bad, hahaha. The one you rode in this video might be the best looking graphic of theirs I've seen. You should really try a Monarch Project. I rode a couple of Leticias boards and LOVED them
It would be cool to see you try out some of the new "true fit molds" from the dlx brands. Super short wheelbases. I think the anti hero is a 8.5 with a 13.75 wheelbase.
That kickflip had some serious stiiz. These dudes bustin 360 flips, its nothin, like i friggin Ollie and shit! Guess im puttin on the Thunders on my next setup
Skated quite a few Disorder boards, I love the shape, the small tail makes snapping regular and fakie tricks super easy, and they mellow nose helps me time and not miss the pop on my nollie tricks, which is something I struggle with, the only things I don’t really like is that 5-0’s feel a little awkward mentally cause there’s so little tail to land on, and for some reason the timing is completely off on my backside flips, for most people treflips are easier on a smaller wheel base, for me it’s opposite and my backside flips are easier and more mellow on a smaller wheelbase
Those dimensions ( with the exception of over all length ) including the taper is a relatively common element shape. I don't know about that flatness though. I remember skating one years ago and thinking that it felt like a shaped board. Similar to old toy machines, Templeton shapes.
I am going to have to try one the nose and tail reminds me of the shortys chadalac muskalade shape and I’ve been wanting to skate that shape for so long
Try Girl's 8.5 G053 with Indy 149s standard (w/ Indy's hard (black) bushings) and Spitfire F4 54 mm classic. Would love to hear your thoughts on that setup! (Or a reply will do if you have tried the exact same setup or any combination close to that) c:
I know im not crazy now when it comes to getting new decks even though its the same size , I do notice I skate better on certain shapes , I tend to get good on one and feel like I regress on others
ben you say at 8:41 it’s better with a light truck then you say the opposite at 21:34. you also measure how steep the tail is coming in at 2-3 degrees more mellow than the nose then say the nose feels more mellow at 3:58 i mean then in the other vid you made a while back talking about harder wheels (the formula 4’s) being stickier than softer wheels i just like have a hard time watching your vids anymore even though i think you’re cool and i like hearing your opinions it’s just like so backwards sometimes man
Got my 8.125 disorder board today! What crazy setup to have this board with low venture trucks, bones bushings, 52 mm, V1, 103 bones wheels and bones ceramic bearings. The weight will be of a tennis racket! Im super excited! And hope i can get used to skating with shorter tail!! Maybe lower trucks help out a bit! I hope to see more boards from disorder! You made skating look super easy in this video! Specially all the fliptricks! Very good video !!
i just bought a pair of mini logos boards because thats the shape that i skated when i was young and personally i dont like big noses, the noses and tail in modern boards have so much steep for my enjoy, to be honest, nyjah's board looks like a mini logo board, so its good i guess.
Looks and sounds like an old Girl Mike Carroll deck from the early 00's. Used to love how flat the old Girl decks were. I hated deep concave after riding them. MELOW all the way.
Haha. I feel stupid now. I didn't watch the video as far as your Mike Carroll 7.5 comment before I replied!! My fave deck of all time was the Girl Mike Carroll baseball cap 7.75. Had about 8 of those in a row.
Joa is gonna have a brain aneurysm after seeing this
😭
*Whatttt the HeLLLLLLLL*

Ben treating skateboarding like rocket science is very likeable :D
Yo, you can see why he's a carpenter by day. Sick !! :)
Ben we will loyally watch any and all product video you upload until the end of time. Just love nerding out on parts and dimensions etc with you! Thankful for every upload!
My pleasure🙂

"It's going to be a quickie, guys" at the start of a 23 mins video 😁
Decks have gotten silly expensive in Australia. Last American deck I rode was a PS amulet shape Welcome. Sticking to Folklore now, locally produced so around half the price…. Nice review, looks like fun!
Nah I just picked up 3 new decks including a hockey deck for $80 you just need to know when to shop
Always loved folklore boards
Not wrong, i religiously skate polar 8.62 and 8.75 and they are ridiculously priced
It’s the same thing here in Canada. A pro American boards is around 100$+ taxe. When it’s in sales ( which don’t happen often) it’s around 70$!📈💸💸💸
What happened to Hardcore?

That’s the beauty of skating
Dime shirts are some of the best fitting and comfiest shirts I’ve owned. Usually i wear XL from other brands but Dime i wear L and it’s perfect.
are they TTS or do they run pretty big?
@@dielit300 tts I’d say
@@dielit300 id say its tts but jus to make sure you can check the measurements of the product in the description on their site
Haven’t watched one of your videos in 2 years. Happy to see you’re still skating
When we going to get the leggings review to match this Nyjah review?
This. Most definitely this.
lol
Lol
Dad or bro? I need to know
Ben got the arse tats like Nyjah so he's halfway there.
🤣 don't think in all the years of skating I ever spent even as long as this video on the specific details of the board you go over. It was only ever, whats the width? 😆 Love it though, you were pushing yourself hard in this one, gotta enjoy nice weather when ya got it 💕🤙
Crazy how on point you looked skating this board!
Whenever you post been i get so hyped and im a young skateboarder as well but you motivate me all the time keep going man dont stop skating even when you hit your 40s

That's a nice looking deck! I've been looking for something a little flatter... gonna have to check this deck out in person.
I skate his shape and like it a lot. Glad to see father Ben feels the same as me
22:10 Would love to know what your exercises consist of to be able to squat and lift up like that. As you know, us injured guys are a bit rustier than when we we are not injured. Maybe a topic for a new video?
its wild seeing Ben with dunks, a Dime shirt, baggy denim and a nyjah board
"is slappies on a nyjah board sacreligious?" 🤣
"HE SAID IT, HE SAID IT, ITS ALL IN THE PRODUCT!!!! I FUCKING KNEW IT!!!!" Runs out & buys Theeve titanium trucks ( yeah, those ones).
The flatter mellow concave is nice to stand on, like the Blind Chalk series decks
You know today's a good day when Ben posts a vid

Looks good and classic, like mid 2000’s shape

I just give mine all a spray job lol
love watching ben get carried away in a sesh my favorite
2023 been great so far - thanks Ben :)

It just clicked. I’m subscribed to you’re carpentry channel… every time I watch this channel I’m like he looks like the carpenter guy 🤨
Love and respect from Brazil!
The Jah is mad a scientist. Nobody can touch the Jah.
That kickflip had some serious stiiz. These dudes bustin 360 flips, its nothin, like i friggin Ollie and shit! Guess im puttin on the Thunders on my next setup
Interesting shape. Explains why Nyjah’s tres are so effortless.
"So this is gonna be a quickie you guys"

I like a mellower tail for backside flips too. If I could push both trucks forward a little it would be almost ideal.
@@bendegros for some reason I completely lose my manny tricks on this shape. Riding venture lows
Nyjah is real good at 5 0s
laughing already at "Yes, the Nyjah....Disorder Review...."
The fact that's he 's also wearing his duncs killed me! 😅
Ah yeeees, FINALLY someone has the courage to say it, it's a nice board regardless of how cringe his brand is.
Just skated yesterday after three months off n feeling like I was falling out of love with it, I was wrong.
Flat boards are so good to land on, you can make a an 8.5 feel like an 8.6-8.7
A fakie shuv like Nyjah did in his part 😂 laughed my ass of😅
I got addicted to shecklers plan b shape for a while, and paid the price with some of the worst graphics known to man.
😂😂😂
I haven’t bought or stood on a skateboard in years but I immediately noticed how flat that deck was.
That Nyjah boards look interesting. I always wonder why there are almost no more flat boards? I also think it’s in good shape
Toy machine, chocolate and girl are all pretty flat.
I tried a frog it seemed pretty flat
Ben you just sink into those slappy crooks and they are so satisfying to watch.
CoughBAKERBOARDcough

Makes sense that a trail master would want flatter concave in order to get easier balance on board & lip slides
Looks as though Ben is about to go down another rabbit hole...
I am going to have to try one the nose and tail reminds me of the shortys chadalac muskalade shape and I’ve been wanting to skate that shape for so long
Reminds me of the Old School Santa Monica Airlines Natas Koupus graphic.
when did you get so good again? remember watching vancouver carpenter stuff and don't remember this bag of tricks
He was injured for quite awhile
Shape Looks just like the Baker OG mellow concave. Same wheelbase and concave.
Only 2 days since the last upload, hell yeah
Dude skates the best in the worlds personal shape and is surprised it’s a good board 😂
Yup babi, our Ben Degros is finally back to Board Review series 😂😂
Best quote “is it sack religious to do slappys on a nyjah board?”
I've been watching these recent videos over and over lol
good review but i think some short shorts would be appropriate
Those days are over for me.
my favorite type of videos from you
Small tails are one of my biggest pet peeves. I’d rather have my preference of tail than wheelbase, as far as “normal” wheelbases include.
Your diy is really cool😁 Wish i had this kind of park where i live.
3 uploads in a week🔥
I love disorder boards. Nyjah shape is so nice
this is lowkey amazing
The shape and measurements are almost identical compared to Baker 8.125 OG mellow concave shape
“Did we just become best friends?!” -You and Adriano after meeting during the one video
hey been, your outfit is so sick! can i get an ID on the pants please?
So Nyjah rides a flat Zorlak noob board from the 90's.
Thats about right. He needs help knowing where the nose is.
It looks almost exactly like this Nick Garcia element I skated in the summer, was an 8.25 though.
pop shove was clean, maybe one day i can kickflip
Keep trying bro, watch Jonny gigers video and try using the handrail technique that helped me a ton
I know im not crazy now when it comes to getting new decks even though its the same size , I do notice I skate better on certain shapes , I tend to get good on one and feel like I regress on others
God Damn i love me a Degros review regardless of the product, also those heel flips are looking 👌
please do a limosine deck review

Ok, Adriano's turn...does "one" more 😂
Great review! My birthday is on Wednesday!
Would like to see you skate it with your trucks super tight like nyjah does. Would be really interesting
that shape sounds like a nightmare.
Nyjah said in interview he rides flat boards and tight trucks, nowonder why he's so good.
Bones X Formula review please
When summer comes around you should review the Nyjah shorts and leggings combo
this is my fav ben degros fit
Got my 8.125 disorder board today! What crazy setup to have this board with low venture trucks, bones bushings, 52 mm, V1, 103 bones wheels and bones ceramic bearings. Got an update review for us my man?
love seeing ben in the big pant and dunks
Complete 90s swag on no lie
i just bought a pair of mini logos boards because thats the shape that i skated when i was young and personally i dont like big noses, the noses and tail in modern boards have so much steep for my enjoy, to be honest, nyjah's board looks like a mini logo board, so its good i guess.
nyjah skates 148 thunder hallow lights
You might have the Jah setup but you will never be the Jah!!!
Busted out the Klein digital level, respect
Check out his Vancouver Carpenter channel, he's got all the tools.
Reminds me of on all dgk board I skated when I was a kid. Was super flat and mellow felt like flipping a 2x4
It’s also the opposite the steeper the nose or tail the closer to the pocket you put it to help you pop faster
Where can we for one in Canada?
I feel like the board would be perfect with Venture V Hollows or regular Venture Lows
ben is this your tennis court cuz im jealous
Looks and sounds like an old Girl Mike Carroll deck from the early 00's. Used to love how flat the old Girl decks were. I hated deep concave after riding them. MELOW all the way.

Can I come skate that mini ramp?
mellow concave is pretty sweet... i''d like to see you do some treflips on an old school deck like christopher heitt !
Hard pass😂
