Hey I used two methods to fix the rear cracked plastic. First was using zip ties like I was sticking up the fender. Second thing I did was use plastic welder underneath the fender for extra strength. If you go the zip tie route us a small drill bit just good enough to get the zip tie through the plastic.
Hey thank you, with the FCR carb it had no fitment issues. This Carb was bought from Curtis sparks racing especially designed for the 400ex. The tank sits just above the carb with small clearance.
Hey thank you, I just tried searching for the shrouds on Ebay which is how I purchased them and wasn’t able to find anything similar. I would search “400ex shrouds” on eBay to see if they eventually pop back up for sale.
Got the seat cover on eBay and yes it should fit. Here’s the link www.ebay.com/itm/274784465234?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=yzANJZuKQ2C&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=6AnnVnSGT2i&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=MORE
I’ve ran it open and closed but to say I feel a difference between both is tough. I run the lid to keep the filter clean but I’m sure there is a slight benefit running no lid.
@floridatrailrider305 The reason I'm asking is because I changed my exhaust (stock 400ex) to a slip-on and felt big gains in bottom and mid-range power. The slightest of gains on top-end and more noise. Then, I changed to a full system with the promise of gains all over. The bottom and mid-range is probably a little better than stock. Hard to tell. Top-end now pulls a tiny bit better from what I can feel. The bike had near-perfect jetting. I've been trying to find a solution to gain back that bottom-mid power without running an open box and aftermarket filter and thought the ehs or equivalent lid would give at least half the gains. From you, it sounds like it's not worth it. Thanks for replying!
Beautiful!

@@greyhsonloyd924 motor has JE piston 87mm 10.8.1 also has Web Cam and port and polished head, rest of motor is stock. Carburetor is a FCR 39mm
Awesome quad and video man, what drone did you use for the intro?
It’s the first DJI Mavic Mini. Shoot’s up to 2.7K only but still nice quality.
How did you join the plastic on the rear fender? because mine broke in the same place and I would like to fix it so that it doesn't break

My man, where did that oil cooler fan come from?
Hey the fan you can find on the 400ex Facebook group from a guy named Jay Epperly. He makes the fans.
I need a 400ex ride video bro...💯🤘
400ex will be ready soon, getting a final carb tune up
How did you make the FCR carb fit? Did you have any fitment issues, especially with the tank? Awesome build!
Hey thank you, with the FCR carb it had no fitment issues. This Carb was bought from Curtis sparks racing especially designed for the 400ex. The tank sits just above the carb with small clearance.
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly!
What throttle cable did you use for the FCR?
Btw, loking forward to more content of the 400!
Where did you get those air shrouds? Sick build by the way !!
Hey thank you, I just tried searching for the shrouds on Ebay which is how I purchased them and wasn’t able to find anything similar. I would search “400ex shrouds” on eBay to see if they eventually pop back up for sale.
@@floridatrailrider305 They look bigger than all the aluminum ones you see normally on Ebay. Are they a larger shroud would you say?
I would have to say they are slightly larger but just slightly.
Where'd you get the fan that's mounted on the oil cooler?
On Facebook there is a Honda 400ex group and a guy by the name of Jay Epperly sells the fans.
what temp does the fins show? just after a ride,, can you use a lazer temp gun? , reason is i painted my upper motor wondering whats normal.. thx!
It was 70 degrees outside and running the bike for 10 minutes it reach up to 207 degrees on the fins.
Where’d you get the seat cover from and will it fit an 04

The ehs lid. How is the before and after? Can you compare it to a closed and open box?

@@mgp1016 I have a Web cam which I highly recommend, but there’s other cams out there that can help you get the bottom-mid-top end you want.
How do you like the sparks exhaust? Trying to decide between that or the hmf.
I was deciding between those two also and I’m glad I went the spark exhaust system. Been happy the the performance, sounds great and great quality.
@@floridatrailrider305 heard good things about them. Does it actually give it a little more power towards the top end?
Where'd you get the console/handlebar stem?
The console/handlebar mount is discontinued. It was made by Mod Quad.
I live in Vero Beach FL and I don't have nobody to go riding with its boring so I'm looking for new friends
I meet a lot of riding buddies just by going to riding spots, checkout Croom ATV park. There’s a big community of riders.
