Just found this video and this lingering thought that the ending would be similar to what norse mythology says about happens at ragnarok...i doubt Guts will die alone but its gonna the end of battle his journey and by his side would be casca and Griffith as a subconscious personality of the moonlight child...like firaris the female blonde Knight will live with perhaps but the rest will perish as part of the epic. (don't know all the names of characters)
Ooooh, and once the princess realizes his evil and leaves him (or dies) and Sonia leaves for the magicians or what ever and Griffith can’t have her either. All leaning into that whole Griffith will lose the faith of the people, weakening him severely.
@@hunter5822 actually, i think that just adds to the fact that guts at the end of berserk will win. of course i think the only way to beat griffith is to not hate him, or not being berserk according to TomTalksTropes theory) his loss of faith will have him loving nobody, making him stronger. If that leads to malicious intent, or if something makes him go berserk (instead of guts) it will make him try and destroy the world. that is when the battle between him and guts would happen. since guts would be already strong af with his armor, and consumed by the darkness, griffith and him would have an insane fight, and since the berserker armor is the representation of darkness, it would lead him to his defeat. but i think that is too direct. casca might interfere, and the armor would have nothing to do with the fight. i think he will win though
I feel like Zodd is a parallel to Guts in the new Band of the Hawk. The same role Guts plays in the Golden Age arc (battle-wise) is what Zodd is like in the Millennium arc. He also seems to be Femto's right hand guy the same way Guts is to Griffith. Obviously, Femto doesn't have any love for Zodd the way Griffith does for Guts, but in battle, they play the same roles.
Zodd also got his left horn directly chopped off by Griffith while Guts indirectly (still caused by Griffith) got his right eye picked out. This was very clearly mirrored in the team up against Ginishika. Zodd also got his arm chopped on in his first appearance if you want to count that as more similarity to Guts. Guts went on a revenge for Griffith from that point forward while Zodd started serving the Hawk of Light instead. Guts is truly like the fusion of Zodd and SK's most badass aspects.

I think there are other parallels, Rakshas is Corkus, Locus is Casca, Irvine is Judea, Sonia is Rickert, Grunbeld is Pippin. They're not one to one but I don't think it's a coincidence that there are 6 notable members of either Band of The Hawk (If you don't count Gaston)

I really think Miura’s intention is for Gut’s to build up something of his own army. You see him build a relationship with the Merrows and the Witches and Elves of Skellige. Maybe you are right, and this would lead to an all out attack on Griffith and Falconia in the way you described.

Never noticed those parallels between Gut's and Gaiseric's experiences, but now they seem really blatantly clear x) As to my thoughts on the end of Berserk, I always imagined one of two outcomes: - Griffith dies at the hand of Guts, in a way that the world perceives as a kind of Christ-like sacrifice. Griffith is deified, Guts is (willingly) executed and villified. The latter finds peace in death; - Guts become a Skull Knight-like figure and the cycle repeats itself. Another person in the future will do something akin to what Griffith did, there will be a survivor of another eclipse hunting the former, and so on. I kinda always imagined Guts dying at the end, though. I feel like he deserves to rest, to have come to terms with his life and to have peace. And I feel like that only death may grant him that. I wouldn't be disappointed with a similar end. though Miura has said the fans deserve a happy end... still, happy in Berserk could still see Guts dead. a bittersweet end.

That's actually a pretty solid theory But what if Griffith actually end up being the one destroying falconia in the first place ? Griffith and Void have alot of parallels both were tortured by a king both were the first godhand members of thier cycle both were remembered as messiahs while thier enemies as demons and both will destroy their kingdom in peruse of a greater purpose in Griffith's case it might be to give the other godhand members full physical bodies and complete the last phase in the causality/IoE plan
I'm going off the assumption the next corporealisation would be of the God of the Abyss, eclipses are only meant to take place centuries apart so maybe the next one takes place millennia apart, couple that with the Moonlight Child possibly deriving greater strength from eclipses and the protagonists have a number of aims and motivations centered around the liberation of Caska's and Guts' child, assuming he is still a somewhat seperate entity to Femto, which should hopefully be resolved in the next few chapters.

I honestly agree to some degree, I’ve just finished chapter 363, and I agree that the moonlight boy will play a big role within berserk. But maybe instead of trapping The boy and griffith in the astral plain the moonlight boy will become in full control in the end and live with guts and casca I know this is very unlikely but it would be nice to see guts as a better version of gambino who doesn’t sell his son
As epic as a final battle would be- I thought it was obvious at the last panels of latest Berserk, the tiny elf wizard is like "Do you use your rage because you simply have to, or because you want revenge." And Guts sees Casca and Farnese from a window and he's like fuck those options I'm just chillin on this island for casca. Even Skull knight tryin to tell him like hey choose revenge or love. Kentaro has stated he really thought hard about a sad ending for Guts but prefers a happy one for him. It would of been interesting to see Guts forgive the unforgiveable acts of Griffith, but I'm sure it wouldn't of been black and white like that. Comic ended at a good place actually.
God this is such a good theory and video. Just imagine Griffith/Femto finally obtaining his "dream" and Guts finding a way to defeat and trap his evil as there with Falconia inside the dimensional plane. The humans seeing the villain and his "utopia" for what he and it truly is, and everything he's so desired for so long along with his false reality shatters in front of him. I feel it's a far more depraving and worse fate that he deserves and much better than Guts killing him. Though still, I hope we get to see main characters, particularly Skull Knight/Gaiseric, somehow deal with Void and the other God Hand as well. 😌
Well I just hope that his co workers had some script Miura left behind before he died. Because it was said Miura had a co creator (I don't rm his name) who helped him over the years with his chapters. So maybe he thinks similar to Miura and he probably know what Miura would do in this situation

Oh my thats a well crafted theory! A lot, and I mean a lot of youtube theories on Berserk are never backed up with compelling evidence. Usually they grasp at straws and though they could technically be right what's the point in a half assed theory guess! Those time event parallels you pointed out is crazy to me. The repetition of events and their respective differences, the sci fi books in correlation to the godhand. Those alone are just things i've never thought about and probably never would have figured out. I think you're onto something at the very least. Very nice
The only reason Griffith saved Guts was because Guts was the only one with the skills and talent to make his dream a reality, the sad part is it shouldn't be his dream if he isn't capable of completing it that shows a lack of self understanding from Griffith and a lack of humbless the even sadder part is that Gut's dream should be the greatest because he is the one born with the most skills and capacity to be able to complete a large dream. When people "bit off more than they can chew" they lose themselves which is discussed in Machiavelli
1:10 Skull Knight actually had the armor during his eclipse, you see him tearing through apostles and his vision being obscured by blood. Guts got the armor much later in his "cycle" than skull knight did
Im kind of hoping that the Godhand betrays Femto/Griffith while Guts chooses to not get involved. Maybe Void doesn't want to get pushed aside like what happened to the previous members of the Godhand that came before him? Void supposedly became a Godhand because of how Geiseric treated the Kingdom, so itd be an interesting reversal if Void now sees himself as a king, betrays his subordinate, and leads to the downfall of all he oversees. EDIT: Also I dont think the rest of the Godhand were able to go into the physical world. It still showed Slan manifesting in an orgy, and Conrad manifesting as Rats. I dont think they'd need to indirectly represent themselves in such a way if they had full ability to be in the physical world. I think those last four shots of them were to represent them having significantly more power than before. I still think they'd need an Incarnation ceremony of their own in order to be in the physical realm the way Femto is.

But as for ending theories, I think I already commented one on your past videos about how guts' white hair will spread, revealing him to be the white hawk in some epic big moment to the people of the world. I think an event like the world tree happened before, which is why an advanced city with advanced utilities and infrastructure like Falconia vanished. Skull Knight must have exchanged his kingdom, his science, his queen, to return the God hand into the astral realm. Causality may be similar to FMA's equivalent exchange. The powers of God Hand are meant to be returned, but are kept through this constant cycling. Causality is the idea that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The god hand is a loop hole, mitigating all their power into potential energy through the Beherits and existing in a Schrodinger like state in the astral plane, their power becomes like microwaves (the noise of reality). The world tree is a massive catalyst where all this energy can group on and manifest physically. The power is exchanged/transformed and not given up/transmuted. All of this is fighting destiny. The god hand ultimately will lose their power because that's the logical reaction. I think they are playing a game of hot potato paradox, which is why God hands cycle. Void is the oldest god hand right now, because from the flash back the other Godhand members look entirely different! I think Void is grooming Femto to replace himself, to continue this infinite fight of Causality that they are all trapped in along with Skull Knight. The true question is, what is the God Hands ultimate goal? Why are they trying to hold all this power that was never meant for them?Griffith is ultimately once more a pawn. A king and ruler, but a chess piece in a larger multi-universal game. I don't think this realization will come kindly. I love your videos, the ideas you shared are very strong and observed :)
Great thoughts and theories! The ending of (or really what is left of Berserk) will mirror events or information we have seen or are likely to see very soon. I'm quite certain of this, and your idea pf trapping Femto sounds possible as an outcome to me. Personally, I believe the Beast of Darkness has to play a role in the ending. It represents everything Guts has been through. I could almost see Femto being killed by it, if they were to meet on its terms.
So the old king sacrificed everyone to keep Void in the astral realm, Void consumes the others members of the hand, while he is trying to escape, he realize that he needs a sacrifice just as large as the entire old kingdom, so he is grooming "Griffith" to do what he wants, but as Griffit is no more maybe he will try to consume the god hand just like Void, only to become entrapped in the astral realm again.
Skull knight real badass for cutting across causality to interupt the eclipse and save casca as well, knowing that it will matter in the end. fucking chad
I just finished reading berserk and i have been getting more and more deeper into the fandom now. I love all the videos people make on the manga and all the theories,i haven't been dissapointed one bit about any of it. I enjoyed listening to this theory,keep up the good work!

My theory: The Godhand are literally an early manifestation of the Chaos Gods and the story will end when the Emperor of mankind will drive them back to the imaterium. Obscure references aside thank you for your content and channel. You make great videos please keep up the good work!

I atleast remember, or my head canon, that the gods in Berserk gain strength from recognition and worship, like the Chaos gods, i'm not 100% sure but thematically it would be extremely fitting considering the Idea of Evil chapter. It's technicslly not canon but Miura did write it. Food for thought
Nice observation. Love the interpretation as well as backstory to things. Yes Causality does repeat itself in Berserk however I do believe there will be a complex theory in the conflict between our now 4 central characters: Guts, Griffith, Casca, and Moonchild. I do believe the Godhand will be involved in Falconia as well as other things but I don’t see them being outright defeated in simple terms and I think a lot will surface through more endeavors and character involvement whem things persist forward
We can transcend Causality. That's what Guts did. That's what we do. Once you are familiar with the absurdity of Existence , you can touch that aspect of consciousness that's beyond causality. Don't avoid the void. The void is the source... Strugglers. A Struggler

And Guts sees Casca and Farnese from a window and he's like fuck those options I'm just chillin on this island for casca. Even Skull knight tryin to tell him like hey choose revenge or love. Kentaro has stated he really thought hard about a sad ending for Guts but prefers a happy one for him. It would of been interesting to see Guts forgive the unforgiveable acts of Griffith, but I'm sure it wouldn't of been black and white like that. Comic ended at a good place actually.

God this is such a good theory and video. Just imagine Griffith/Femto finally obtaining his "dream" and Guts finding a way to defeat and trap his evil as there with Falconia inside the dimensional plane. The humans seeing the villain and his "utopia" for what he and it truly is, and everything he's so desired for so long along with his false reality shatters in front of him. I feel it's a far more depraving and worse fate that he deserves and much better than Guts killing him.
Though still, I hope we get to see main characters, particularly Skull Knight/Gaiseric, somehow deal with Void and the other God Hand as well. 😌
I hope miura left a outline for the rest on the story. So we can get close to the ending as miura saw it

Because it was said Miura had a co creator (I don't rm his name) who helped him over the years with his chapters. So maybe he thinks similar to Miura and he probably know what Miura would do in this situation

Oh my thats a well crafted theory! A lot, and I mean a lot of youtube theories on Berserk are never backed up with compelling evidence. Usually they grasp at straws and though they could technically be right what's the point in a half assed theory guess! Those time event parallels you pointed out is crazy to me. The repetition of events and their respective differences, the sci fi books in correlation to the godhand. Those alone are just things i've never thought about and probably never would have figured out. I think you're onto something at the very least. Very nice

The only reason Griffith saved Guts was because Guts was the only one with the skills and talent to make his dream a reality, the sad part is it shouldn't be his dream if he isn't capable of completing it that shows a lack of self understanding from Griffith and a lack of humbless the even sadder part is that Gut's dream should be the greatest because he is the one born with the most skills and capacity to be able to complete a large dream. When people "bit off more than they can chew" they lose themselves which is discussed in Machiavelli

1:10 Skull Knight actually had the armor during his eclipse, you see him tearing through apostles and his vision being obscured by blood. Guts got the armor much later in his "cycle" than skull knight did
That’s probably a key difference along with the strugglers lover being alive as well.
My theory is that he used The Berserker armor to survive the eclipse

Im kind of hoping that the Godhand betrays Femto/Griffith while Guts chooses to not get involved. Maybe Void doesn't want to get pushed aside like what happened to the previous members of the Godhand that came before him? Void supposedly became a Godhand because of how Geiseric treated the Kingdom, so itd be an interesting reversal if Void now sees himself as a king, betrays his subordinate, and leads to the downfall of all he oversees.
EDIT: Also I dont think the rest of the Godhand were able to go into the physical world. It still showed Slan manifesting in an orgy, and Conrad manifesting as Rats. I dont think they'd need to indirectly represent themselves in such a way if they had full ability to be in the physical world. I think those last four shots of them were to represent them having significantly more power than before.
I still think they'd need an Incarnation ceremony of their own in order to be in the physical realm the way Femto is.

But as for ending theories, I think I already commented one on your past videos about how guts' white hair will spread, revealing him to be the white hawk in some epic big moment to the people of the world. I think an event like the world tree happened before, which is why an advanced city with advanced utilities and infrastructure like Falconia vanished. Skull Knight must have exchanged his kingdom, his science, his queen, to return the God hand into the astral realm. Causality may be similar to FMA's equivalent exchange. The powers of God Hand are meant to be returned, but are kept through this constant cycling. Causality is the idea that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The god hand is a loop hole, mitigating all their power into potential energy through the Beherits and existing in a Schrodinger like state in the astral plane, their power becomes like microwaves (the noise of reality). The world tree is a massive catalyst where all this energy can group on and manifest physically. The power is exchanged/transformed and not given up/transmuted. All of this is fighting destiny. The god hand ultimately will lose their power because that's the logical reaction. I think they are playing a game of hot potato paradox, which is why God hands cycle. Void is the oldest god hand right now, because from the flash back the other Godhand members look entirely different! I think Void is grooming Femto to replace himself, to continue this infinite fight of Causality that they are all trapped in along with Skull Knight. The true question is, what is the God Hands ultimate goal? Why are they trying to hold all this power that was never meant for them?Griffith is ultimately once more a pawn. A king and ruler, but a chess piece in a larger multi-universal game. I don't think this realization will come kindly. I love your videos, the ideas you shared are very strong and observed :)

The ending of (or really what is left of Berserk) will mirror events or information we have seen or are likely to see very soon. I'm quite certain of this, and your idea pf trapping Femto sounds possible as an outcome to me. Personally, I believe the Beast of Darkness has to play a role in the ending. It represents everything Guts has been through. I could almost see Femto being killed by it, if they were to meet on its terms.
So the old king sacrificed everyone to keep Void in the astral realm, Void consumes the others members of the hand, while he is trying to escape, he realize that he needs a sacrifice just as large as the entire old kingdom, so he is grooming "Griffith" to do what he wants, but as Griffit is no more maybe he will try to consume the god hand just like Void, only to become entrapped in the astral realm again.
I feel like I haven't read the story enough times to be able to think of smart theories of my own.

On slightly more serious note, i think both Berserk and 40k have releated "immaterium" worlds.
I atleast remember, or my head canon, that the gods in Berserk gain strength from recognition and worship, like the Chaos gods, i'm not 100% sure but thematically it would be extremely fitting considering the Idea of Evil chapter. It's technicslly not canon but Miura did write it.

Yes Causality does repeat itself in Berserk however I do believe there will be a complex theory in the conflict between our now 4 central characters: Guts, Griffith, Casca, and Moonchild. I do believe the Godhand will be involved in Falconia as well as other things but I don’t see them being outright defeated in simple terms and I think a lot will surface through more endeavors and character involvement whem things persist forward
