- How To Fold Up a Portable Green Screen like a BOSS. It takes Jedi master skills, which are actually quite simple when you do it 4,792 times.
I used to hate folding HUGE blue screens, green screens, diffusers the first 4,791 times, but after that it just got easier. Follow my tips, or hands, in this video and you'll be folding like a boss in no time!

Phillip so far your method is the best, and you did it without it touching the floor! I've seen others mopping the floor with it,
or folding it outdoors where touches and scrapes the ground! Salute to you.
haha, it's no doubt one of the most annoying things in the world, but once you get it done you feel like a God.

This is easily the best video I've seen on this subject. Based off of everyone's reviews on this type of screen, you could have a theatre held in disbelief. Modern day Prestige. Thanks Brigham, these screens are super to use but sometimes a pain in the ass to fold, using this method I have a 10% fail rate 😂 I then need to go have a beer, maybe two, come back a few hours later and try again.

It's a good way to do it, mind you it doesn't work every single time. Sometimes the metal frame twists, so you need to flip it, kick it, slap it, and then try again, and they it should pop in to place. Odd and quite frustrating design.

Note that procedure works well for you if you try with the blue side looking out, but, if you try with the green outside doesnt work. This is because the memory. For other people may be this work with the other side.
Yes, sometimes this is a one sided party, and the other side just doesn't want to play.

Nope - it didn't do that when I tried it. I leaned on it and got a sort of three loped monster that would not fold in
You may have saved my marriage by sharing this most amazing how to! We literally were about to start an argument over how to fold the stupid green screen! 😂
hahaha, I can imagine these green screens have broken up many marriages, landed many people in jail and no doubt plunged a few people into depression. I think whoever designed these should be deprived of any future product releases. If I need to use mine, I get a twitch in my eye on just the thought of opening that damn zipper.

It's fantastic! I think I need to get myself a backdrop for larger projects, but this one for portraits or product work is just awesome!
@@PhillipSkraba if you do find one please share , its frustrating trying to find the right setup for backdrop but I see many youtubers use changeable cardboard . I would love to see a much bigger double sided green screen lol that would resolve our issues.
@@Richoecreate I'm not sure if they get any bigger than this. I think after this it's just material you setup. I don't even know how I'd fold a bigger one 😂 I also bought a black/white and 5-in-one (for the diffuser) in this size. Awesome sizes if you don't have much space to set up in the studio.
Mine doesn't do that! I gave up and accepted that it will never fold again!

What brand is that? Some of these screens have dodgy hues to them.

@@PhillipSkraba Thanks. Yes, it looks a nice green. Was your white balance setting correct for this video? Just been watching a Spanish review (subtitles) who was saying the Neewer has a blue tinge to the green. Look for video "Neewer Vs PhotoSEL"
Mine is green as they come Dave, I've used it a lot for keying, and the other side is blue, which is great. Yes, my white balance was on 5600k, same as my lamps.

You broke it??! How in the world did you do that?? I thought that was a myth, no way you broke it. You probably just twisted the metal inside it, flap it around a little and it’ll pop back into place. If you look at the instructions, you’ll see this is basically the way you’re meant to fold it. Take a few deep breaths and do it again Stacey.
The metal came apart! I have folded mine several different times since I've had it. I've struggled with it before and eventually get it folded up. I had been having trouble getting it folded up this time, had been trying for 2 days. This was the first time I had tried folding it this way. The metal actually came apart on one side and I can't get one end lined back up to go back inside the other part and even if I can get it to I don't know that it will stay. One end is very sharp. To get it lined back up it looks like it will be a 2 person job. If I can get it to go back in maybe I can duck tape it and get it to stay, but it is definitely broke!
Folding these things is a nightmare, I've been in some tough spots, but never ever had one break or even hear of one breaking. I've had to twist mine in to shape, do it upside down, backwards, etc, to get it to fold. This way though is no doubt the most universal way, basically every studio I ever shot in or worked in folded these monsters this way. Be careful if it's sharp, best to buy a new one rather than hurt yourself.
This version of folding it was the first time I had seen it folded that way and I've looked at several different videos since the time I purchased it. The sides is where it's put together and as many times as I had tried several different ways in the 2 day period it had gotten twisted a bit before I tried this way, so that's probably why it broke. I don't know that I'll be buying another anytime soon. I mainly used it for Zooming with family. If I do I'll wait a while and might buy a smaller one.
@@staceyhalbrook9981 Yes, mine twisted a few times and I felt that it was a little screwed up inside, so I had to do some crazy gymnastics to get it back into place and safe. There are about 2-3 other ways of doing this, but this one is no doubt the fastest and easiest. These things though, way too big, sometimes it's such a pain and so frustrating to get them back in that damn bag.

Try doing the same thing but flipping it over, sometimes I feel the metal gets confused inside.
