I've had my base model for 7 years, I work on Mountain bike trails, this thing is a workhorse, I've replaced the ball, and head, now with the quickrelease one, its good so far, no real problems with anything, just wear items, I should replace the wheels, they are a bit worn, maybe I can put some bearings in, I have to check it out. Thats right I've worn the wheels out and its still doing a great job.. Biggest problem is the hikers won't stay on their trails, they like that I trim out the poision ivy, etc.. ;) !!!
I just got mine after 2 months in MO as well. I tried it out, sad it comes with no oil. I just wish the head was canted more, it rides too close to the fence line. I bought the quick change head, def worth it and roll of the HD orange.
I've tried various recommended cords and they just keep breaking. No matter how I store them, no matter the different gauges I try. I'm only using it on tall grass, it's almost unusable.

I got the pro lx last week and I love that thing. It is truly powerful and great for high grass and weeds.
