Yes priority is usually given to government college students when it comes to selecting for government jobs, otherwise if you are performing good enough practically and academically, there will not be any problem

Stay regular in college, listen to everything your teachers say… start studying from the beginning..finish your syllabus along with the teacher or maybe before that if you can.. do pyqs make separate notes.. revise them regularly.. keep your practical work upto date. And that’s all you need to survive bds 1st year!

Try applying for government colleges in Punjab.. maybe you’ll get gmc patiala.. if you don’t get govt, then there is one college is Delhi NCR , i also have made a video about it, pay a visit there and see if it’s good for you.. if not that there are many private colleges in punjab too which are good.. like guru nanak dental college sunam, sgrd, bjs, cmc etc.
When you analyse past year papers and get to know the important topics, and study them first then it gets easier to manage these books don’t worry.. just go with the flow, study consistently and keep taking guidance from your teachers and seniors
Fees varies. In my college it’s around 11 lakh( the total fees) i.e. around 3 lakh per year For private colleges you just require qualifying marks( around 180) But it again depends upon the number of seats that are available in that particular college.
I am doing bds from private college too. And it’s working for me. But make sure you don’t buy a seat way too expensive. You can easily get a seat at around 2-3 lakh fees per year. And if you do your best in this field.. there’s so much that you can achieve

Books around 8k-9k me aati hai… agar library se loge toh un par kuch bhi markings vgera ni kar paoge baaki toh koi issue ni hai aur agar aap pg krna chahte ho toh books long term keliye kaam aayengi.. so I recommend you to have your own. Rest it’s your choice and yes you can take second hand books
