I would like to update the fees I mentioned here of my college, it is >1 lakh per year right now.
It was a great experience to share my insights about dentistry, hopefully i was able to motivate students and make people understand what dentistry is all about
I hv decided to take admission in HCDSH jharkhand it's rank 1 college in jharkhand among 3 dental college in jharkhand. But it's private college and had visited the college there is a lot of patient flow approx 100 Or more patient per day and faculty is also good. So my decision is worth.
Just little correction in thumbnail , not dentist earning more than "doctor" bro dental surgeons are also doctors and moreover bams bhms all are doctors so thumbnail should be dentist are making more money than mbbs doctors
Edit :- i do agree bhms and bams are not paramed courses , they are too medical courses !

No ..BHMS & BAMS are not paramedical course...These are also Medical course...The alternative system of medicine okay...
I would suggest you to compare BVSc (veterinary) along with homeopathy, ayurved and dentistry... As all of these have a wide scope and as far as I know only MBBS, BDS and BVSc are worldwide recognised medical courses!

@@gauravgairola9449 i am very much in practice and an oral surgeon is the one who treats it. You are the one commenting with half knowledge. There is a specialty after BDS called as oral and maxillofacial surgery for the same. Be AWARE first. ENT specialist has nothing to do with oral cavity. I get referrals from ENT everyday because i work at a hospital, they don’t even look inside a patients mouth, they just send the pt to a dentist. Thankyou

First of all you can earn after BDS and setup ka minimum cost 3-4 lakhs hota hai and itna tum BDS ke baad job krke bhi kama loge. Itni tension lene ki zarurat nhi hai.

I don't get why people nowadays demotivating ayush for the motivation of their field, I mean ek dusre ko utha kr bhi to apni tarif ki ja skte hai.
Maybe the reason is awareness in between people about Ayurveda and homoeopathy. I am not against dentist or allopathy...but calling other field pseudoscience is stupidity when they themselves didn't study a word about it (ayush).

1.Head and neck is specialisation of ENT. Do some reasearch before speaking any nonsense.
2. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is vast vast different from General dentistry but it is unfortunate that they don't get any recognisation and jobs like other medical specialties in india.
I have done my research have you? Go to the DCI website and search for the definition of dentist. We only read head and neck anatomy for 5 years. And i did not say we are head and neck specialists. And how is oral surgery different from dentistry? Kuch bhi?
