I revisited this song after watching the video of quarantined Italians singing this song, trying to add life to the lonely, deserted streets of Siena, trying to make meaning of this lockdown and this viral attack. Goosebumps!
So I do. Very impressiv how the people in Siena react. It is a serious situation, people need courage and solidarity to be strong. when people spontaneously sing such a song in the empty streets, there is this courage. Viva Italia e viva tutti.
Thank you so much! That's an ancient song from Siena, about its marvellous square (the one of the Palio, the famous horserace). Every "contrada" (quarter) of the town adapts the lyrics. Hope we shall meet in Tuscany soon, when this crap will be done! Aim high!
Simply Beautiful.. like others, I came this after watching the video of Italians singing under covid-19 threat... Do you guys have this available to download?
@@CognitiveComputation, hi there... no, the song is not avaible to download, but maybe I can arrange something today or tomorrow... You can search for us on Spotify and have a look on our web site. We published an album, "Toscani randagi. Canti d'amore, rabbia e osteria", and that's surely avaible online. Thank so much for listening to our music, we're very happy for this!
@@LaSerpedOro I love your rendition of the song! Like so many others, I discovered it under these strange circumstances we're in! Loved this Italian initiative, so beautiful! I'll be glad to discover more of your songs, and to visit beautiful Siena as soon as we can go back to Italy! Hang in there! We're getting confined here in France too, more or less! Stay strong and keep on singing, you're keeping our spirits high!
Please share the video with all friends, let it spread faster than the damn virus can.
Thanks... who knows? Often, when we play in concerts and the audience is composed by foreign people, we use to tranlate "live" some lyrics, but that works very very good for funny songs, much more than for the "sentimental" ones...
