Ice Cold Video. Thats my cool pun I wanted to make. Nice seeing some explenation for the mechanics and also, intended or not, what could be a problem (too many spells in this case)!
So, there's this deck concept I want your opinion on. It's Ratbo, with 5 mana units only(I've also ran it with one removal spell), to abuse his barrel scrats as much as possible. Might sound gimmicky, but it's the deck that got me into diamonds, and I don't consider myself a good player. 5 Mana cards are usually single units, but they often are really good counter cards. Blastmancer or defenso chopper against hordes, Shen or zipp against those high health slow attacking things, you have tanks in Scrat tank, living statue, or those arcane golems, good range with AIM bot, Boom buggy etc. There's so much options, so many ways of building your deck. And.. it's super strong. Especially when you hit rank 3. Those double barrel scrats really start to add up combined with those counters you've got. Besides them capping bridges, they also form a decent shield for your other minions to get through. Again, I don't consider myself a good player, so I'd like your thoughts on this concept :)
Sounds like an interesting concept that isn't seen too often, but perhaps there is a reason for that. At lower ranks you have a lot more flexibility with what you can play and still be successful. As your rank increases and players get better and the meta more defined somethings get better and some get worse. Generating lots of Barrel Scrats is a nice idea and extra units are definitely welcome now bridges are harder to take. I find myself thinking what if you played this deck with a different Master, how would their perks compare in value to what you are getting from Ratbo, especially since your low unit count won't allow you to get huge value from the Dakka, just leaving you with a reasonable but restricted removal ability. Now that Diona and Apep have shifted from Cycle to Timer based masters I would suggest that their perks would be substantially more value than the Barrel Scrats. Also if you are playing mediumly expensive units I would also suggest that Mordar would also give better value. TL;DR It is an interesting concept but Ratbo is definitely not the strongest master for the deck.
@@Badasafish80 Hey! Thanks for the reply! You are most likely right but.. well, I wanted to give you a quick update: I hit masters tier by solely playing this deck(Random Duo's). I wouldn't say it's a fluke either, in the last 56 games I only lost 13 times(and that included a few attempts where I was changing things up in the day, only 3 losses in the last ~25 games, which was against diamonds/masters). And again, I don't think I'm the best person out there. I still don't know all the matchups, still make horrible mistakes(for example throwing away complete units)from time to time. But I've noticed, whenever we hit the third tier, we always come up on top and either win before they can reach mana frenzy, or we get it before they can. And even if we hit mana frenzy at the same time, we often come on top. I designed this deck with spawning as many free barrel scrats in mind, thus getting the highest mana value possible for each card played. I mean, you might be right, and I might have been playing this super unoptimized deck into high ranks, but I honestly feel it's the deck carrying me, instead of the other way around. I really think there might be more to it then it might seem :)
I agree, not the best deck but a good learning tool for a few mechanics. Saying that I do have a 100% win record with it but I did only play it once lol.
Hey Fish. I played Minion Masters for the first time today. I discovered the game through your channel. I got the premium upgrade, but no dlc or anything. I got the cards Boom Buggy and Vuk's Clutchcooker. Do you have any suggestions for cards I should add to a deck featured around them? Thanks for your content.
Welcome to the channel and the game! Sounds like a Scrat deck is in order here. You want lots of scrats so you can trigger the Scrat Swarm on the Boom Buggy to get the extra range. You'll also want to consider Piloted minions which can give Vuk his Bombard on spawn.
@@entropystings 🔴 Rubies for the battle pass for sure. New season next week so best to wait for that season pass! 🟡 Use Gold to buy Power Tokens which will also give you shards. 🔵 Shards to purchase masters or craft cards.
i like your videos and understand taht you want to test or show something underused but frozen decks make the game slow and less enjoyable and longer. And a Milloween a Morellia and Dragons us the stuff of lazy players... This video has alot of Cards and Masters that are the opposite of exciting.
Well, the objective of the video is to teach the keywords, not to create an extremely viable and/or fun deck per say. Also, fun is subjective, no one has the right to dictate what is enjoyable or not for others.
Thanks for your feedback! I thought it would just be a fun challenge and a useful tool to explain a few mechanics that newer players should find useful. Also remember that just because you find something less enjoyable doesn't mean others will share that opinion.

Can you share the deck? I'd be happy to look at it.
Typing /cd in the game chat will copy the deck to your clipboard and then you can paste it here.
@@Badasafish80 Ah cool, didn't know that! This is the current version I'm running
Ratbo: A.I.M. Bot, A.I.M. Bot, Annihilator, Blastmancer, Boom Buggy, Defenso Chopper, Incubus, Scrat Tank, Scrat Tank, Shen Stormstrike, Soul Stealer, Zipp's Zappinator
