I was the idiot who played 50B with standard only loadout. My 50B stats: 45% WR, 2004 DPG... rage sold it and stopped playing WoT a year ago. That's how frustrating I found the 50b to be. The biggest factor which induced frustratiin was not the armour; it was the gun dispersion.... some times 50b gun couldn't hit a single round where you aimed.
I use to play it way back as an average jeo back than has a 2.2k avg dmg on it normal shells I was pretty happy with it Didn't played it for years because had 1k games already than I left wot for a year now recently when I try to play 50b even with apcr it's bad man it's very hard to play man arties are more annoying than back when it would one shot you Albiet kranvan is God man I love that shit 3.6k avg so far lmao
@@goodboysady After Kran was released, it really beats 50b in every aspect. Kran has higher DPM, fits into the hull down meta, isn't much slower than 50b, has a comfortable 3 clip mag and can bully enemies. As skill said, 50b has a very high skill cap. I was an avg player with 50% overall WR, 6.5k PR and I sucked at 50b

Effective topspeed for the Kranvagn on hard ground is measly 42kph, while it's 59 for the 50B. 24 vs 34 on soft ground is still very noticeable difference. Kranvagn can't hit it's topspeed even with grousers mounted, the 50B does. However, if you want to get a real funny 50B, mount grousers and turbo on it. 70kph topspeed and actually reaching it on level ground. It's not supereffective, absolutely not, but it IS very funny to be faster than a lot of light tanks. It's also quite nasty at ramming like this. And it can sometimes be surprisingly effective. I once exploited this in a game where i kept running back and forth between the two fronts/map sides whenever i was reloading, keeping the other team from playing effectively by essentially being an extra tank on both fronts, even if i only managed something like 4k damage, it was one of those games it's obvious afterwards that, oh yeah, you're the one that made THE difference. I've stuck with the "speedster" build since then and while it's rarely that good, it can be quite some fun.
Itsfunneh this video popped up today because I've been playing World tanks a lot today in the AMX 50b has been one of the tanks that has just slap the taste out of my mouth. It's kind of cool seeing you do a challenge where there's no gold ammo involved because quite frankly a lot of the time you don't need it and the standard ammunition will work just fine. I always play wot on hardmode. I greatly dislike the monetary incentive to get better performances without any sort of drawback. If they could balance gold ammunition so it could cost as much as standard ammunition by nerfing it in other ways such as slower shell velocity/lower damage, that would be amazing.
World of Tanks will never truly become competitive, that's the point. And if it was to some extent competitive, then it's only for those that got everything in the game and more..
I've been thinking about "hard mode" - we need a mod that wipes out the minimap, and all overlay except the reticle. Visual cues only, relying on eyesight alone to spot the enemy. That would be an "interesting" game :)
@@0ia yeah, but I was hoping a mod could achieve the same effect, leaving the reticle. Playing without tank outlines, markers, etc would be hard enough, but I don't think anyone could manage too easily without an aim dot :)
Perfection - best showcase you dont need the goldspam, only knowledge of the game to be better than even 99% in random games. Would be so nice if WG would offer a mode of premium consumeable-free random games. This would bring back the good old times and most players would love to go for a shot or two

I personally love 50B, I like its DPM for an autolaoder combined with speed. Once you just figure out you can't go in front it's quite nice to play with

Funny you say that yesterday I went into battle in a King Tiger with 50% crew, no equipment and no gold by accident. I won it not long ago and was just looking at stats and forgot to click back on the tank I wanted to play before pressing battle. Holy banana from banana land my bloom was huge, could not hit broad side of barn lol. Got lucky though was top tier still did alright and won.
I love these series of videos. Since SirFoch left we don't have a bigger streamer which is not just mindlessly spamming gold. Yeah gold is in the game but what would this game look if we would all shoot it, where is the fun? Keep it up Skill!
What I don't like with 50B line is that people don't understand that sniping with it SOMETIMES is a very valid (if not the best) option. Sometimes people shittalk or even annoy you (moving to front of your gun or trying to push you), which is annoying as heck. That said, I actually have 53-60++ WR with the tier 7-9 which is decent, but I didn't buy 50B because by the time I reach it Kran is buffed and I don't see the reason to play with 50B when Kranvagn has better DPM and is the god in current hulldown meta while 50B is matched with the same weight in MM with it. I hope they match 50B with TVP/Progetto/T57 instead and nerf Kranvagn DPM already, it has no business to have DPM that good.
Addition, i just tried playing the position Skill used in first game with the 50B, and it was complete murder. Absolutely NOONE popped up to give me easy targets like they did in his game, while i got shot at from 4 directions, and only finally got a few hits in by leaving that location, at which time i had already lost 2/3 of hitpoints. Yeah, Skill is definitely lucky beyond belief regardless the obvious skill.

And in any league that used stock vehicles, i was up top with the best 10%, or as above, in the top 1% of players, and even in custom vehicle leagues, i was always either extremely good or better. And because at the time my online connection was NOT so great, and my skill with lagshooting was only above average, no, my primary advantage that i used to be that good was tactics. And 3/4 of the time, no matter how i play tactically in WoT, it makes no difference, and often in ways that are simply just ridiculous. Point being, i'm quite good tactically. And the rare few times that the game actually lets me show it off, i can do QUITE excellently indeed. But, the position Skill took in that battle. He was repeatedly given easy targets, no such thing happened when i tried it out, the closest i got was a single shot against an enemy heavy while it waded across to the peninsula, and of course, that shot tried to hit the moon instead so didn't go anywhere near where i aimed. Even more importantly, he spent lots of time there, i spent less time there and yet in that time i kept being spotted from both east and west and moving into firing position like he did, unspotted, i was instantly spotted EVERY TIME. And got fired at from north, northwest, west and east. No, that was not a matter of skill, that was ridiculous levels of luck. And i'm perfectly aware that Skill is extremely good at the game, no doubt about that and i'm certainly nowhere near his level. But after having tried the position out myself, it's just baffling that he could survive at all, much less score enough hits from there to need to reload multiple times. I think i had a chance to fire three times total while there, and only poor targets with lousy hit+pen chance even if the shots had gone straight, which of course, they did not. My last less than a minute before going BOOOM, when i went left/forward down into the ravine area because an enemy TVP50/51 was using it to kill our western front from behind, i did all my damage of the match with just one clip there(i was already down to less than half HP so having a TVP try to clip you and then a Leo 1 shooting at your rear, i was a clear goner, but i was expecting that, but i couldn't let the TVP survive or our team would have been gone as well). So, lots of time doing absolutely nothing useful in the position Skill easily got several k dmg from, mostly trying to dodge and survive(barely succeeding), and then in only a fraction of that time i did 1500 dmg going elsewhere. No, at that point, difference in skill isn't the big divider.
This tank is hard to play but... in same time it is really hard to do... nothing with this tank. Results like 3k dmg were normal with it (i played it 4 years ago, so tanks had much less HP). In 400 battles i have 3,1k dmg average on it. Nowadays I played in maybe 3-4 battles and it is still good. I don't know why u rated it as "playable". In my opinion it is definetily good tank. Top 5 X Tech tree heavy tanks.

10:20 - i always take this position where Kran is when I play from resp which u had. Very good position for every tank. U can craft really good crossfire from there. Really rare guys from lower resp are going there in 1st tempo.

I had t57 heavy, i got rid of it. Now I have Emil II amd even a tier lower, it feels like a way better tank. Oh and i have only 6 gold rounds i rarely use as F2P player.
50B is unforgiving and is not a particularly famous tank in the current meta. Fairly few players even have it and of those, the players that aren't good will probably not enjoy their experience and consequently will probably not play it very frequently. That leads to the curious situation that 50B's player base is oversaturated by very good, veteran players which makes getting aces a pain. I also suspect that in your 8k dmg game, you largely shot targets that somebody else had either tracked or spotted. That's 50% of your experience and credits lost to the assisting player(s) straight off the bat. If your target was stunned, that's another 25% off that goes to the arty responsible.
I never played 50B, but i think this tank is a complete garbage to be honest, heavies are supposed to bounce something with their turret. And I'm always feeling "Gucci" when I see enemy 50B. Penetrating him like nothing even with tier 8 standard ammo.
Sorry man, but I think these AREN'T FULLY regular sessions not even close to a REAL HARD MODE. As I'm playing more and more thinking about any kind of "Extra rations" are just simply for buying "RNG" from MM for yourself. That means dumb teammates will be on enemy side and you will do a lot miraculous hits like laser guns. In a real game changer way. Dear watchers, did you all noticed that 11-13 skilled crew? Ehh, that's too a HUGE advantage. So I think you just kept the most important "secret weapons" to make things works. Dear Skill, Please don't misunderstand me: I really think you are one of the best players, but your main hat trick is just you managed to learn how WG pay2win works and you comply with it. After all I would like to see gameplay from you with a real regular people's account on a real regular tank setup. I mean if you managed to grind up to tier 10 probably you have a 1 maybe 2 skilled crew, so that level acceptable for normal. If you using premium account that's another huge advantage because you can afford a lot of things like "Extra rations" etc. In a free2play economy you just simply cannot afford those things. Peace
Hah, i've NEVER played the 50B with gold ammo. My loadout is 44/8/4 with the 8 gold ammo for just in case i get an otherwise superb match and need to up my chances for finishing it off as perfectly as possible. Only managed 4.6k so far, but been annoyingly close to getting much better matches several times. But so far, never actually used any gold. Most of the time though, gold wouldn't really help THAT much, as it's very hard to play "evenly" with it. The armor is so weak that all it takes is a couple of enemies getting lucky hits, or worse, getting lucky HE hits and you're screwed and gone. And the gun is really not reliable, very variable in how well you hit. And more often than not, nowhere near where you aimed.
Skill, sometimes you are talking so bullshits, honestly. 8:20 - come on?! Shell went where u aimed 2 times. You said "gun handling treat you like this" It was typical RNG. Leopard bounced 2 shells. Gun handling in this situation was perfect. RNG wasn't. That's it.
Message to normal players: don't take his opinion as truth. Keep in mind that he always uses food, spams gold, uses boosters, uses directives and has a premium account which boosts his stats significantly. Think for yourselves because I can guarantee quite a few of you are better than he is.

Skill plays 10+ hours a day. He plays way more than us normals so he at times gets the unreal situations.....and he is just better than us mortals.

Needs to be tier 10 mm and you should get around 7 kills for a chance, 7 kills and 6k+ dmg should do it. Kill still reward way more xp than dmg
And by tier 10mm i mean full tier 10 no tier 8
50B is unforgiving and is not a particularly famous tank in the current meta. Fairly few players even have it and of those, the players that aren't good will probably not enjoy their experience and consequently will probably not play it very frequently. That leads to the curious situation that 50B's player base is oversaturated by very good, veteran players which makes getting aces a pain.
I also suspect that in your 8k dmg game, you largely shot targets that somebody else had either tracked or spotted. That's 50% of your experience and credits lost to the assisting player(s) straight off the bat. If your target was stunned, that's another 25% off that goes to the arty responsible.

I never played 50B, but i think this tank is a complete garbage to be honest, heavies are supposed to bounce something with their turret. And I'm always feeling "Gucci" when I see enemy 50B. Penetrating him like nothing even with tier 8 standard ammo.

Sorry man, but I think these AREN'T FULLY regular sessions not even close to a REAL HARD MODE. As I'm playing more and more thinking about any kind of "Extra rations" are just simply for buying "RNG" from MM for yourself. That means dumb teammates will be on enemy side and you will do a lot miraculous hits like laser guns. In a real game changer way. Dear watchers, did you all noticed that 11-13 skilled crew? Ehh, that's too a HUGE advantage. So I think you just kept the most important "secret weapons" to make things works.
Dear Skill, Please don't misunderstand me: I really think you are one of the best players, but your main hat trick is just you managed to learn how WG pay2win works and you comply with it. After all I would like to see gameplay from you with a real regular people's account on a real regular tank setup. I mean if you managed to grind up to tier 10 probably you have a 1 maybe 2 skilled crew, so that level acceptable for normal. If you using premium account that's another huge advantage because you can afford a lot of things like "Extra rations" etc. In a free2play economy you just simply cannot afford those things. Peace
Hah, i've NEVER played the 50B with gold ammo. My loadout is 44/8/4 with the 8 gold ammo for just in case i get an otherwise superb match and need to up my chances for finishing it off as perfectly as possible. Only managed 4.6k so far, but been annoyingly close to getting much better matches several times. But so far, never actually used any gold.
Most of the time though, gold wouldn't really help THAT much, as it's very hard to play "evenly" with it. The armor is so weak that all it takes is a couple of enemies getting lucky hits, or worse, getting lucky HE hits and you're screwed and gone. And the gun is really not reliable, very variable in how well you hit. And more often than not, nowhere near where you aimed.
