I expected a GP-5 (as usual). Didn’t know there was anything cheaper than GP-5. Do you think that simpler gas masks are better than the more complex ones? I’m pissed off by seeing preppers buying 400$ gas masks because “they offer better protection”. Getting an older 40mm NATO mask or any GOST mask (if you’re in Russia) will do the job equally good. I would like to have a MC-1. It’s simple and it works.
The only thing better about some newer masks is better rubbers are used, Butyl for example and sometimes polycarbonate instead of glass for the eye pieces etc. In terms of actually working with a filter, old simple designs do that absolutely fine.
Just brought the mc-1. Looks a tad discoloured but it's £6 with free shipping. If the valves etc work I'll put an fp-5 filter on it and use it for grinding so I don't damage my fm12.

Quick question, where do you get working 60mm filters for an M61 Mask, I see alot of surplus filters that have late 80s date and still sealed but I dont know if theh would work fine?
They may work but they are technically expired, 60mm is an obsolete filter design so your best bet is to buy a 60-40mm converter, they are generally very cheap and then just buy a new 40mm filter.

Anywhere on the internet.

Concerning the filters, what substitute filters will you recommend for these masks
Polish FP-5 filters, or NATO filters if you add an extra washer.
Can you wear the green filter in this video as a cosplay mask with out having to actually breath through the filter and inhale the asbestos?
Unless you remove the exhale valves you'll always be breathing through the filter.

Yes, but block the top of the filter to be safe anyway
