It's about $1,800-$2,000 and it's tax free if you show your passport (no need to go through the whole refund thing).

I saw in your vlog that you mentioned locals don't wear shorts. Was it weird wearing shorts? I am going this week and it still says it's soo hot there!
I just went in June and it was HOT 🥵 the locals are very into protecting their skin from the sun so I think this is why they don’t typically wear shorts or show too much skin in general. I tried keeping myself covered as much as I could but sometimes it is just way too hot! I agree with her flowy pants comment! Or long dresses. Have fun!

Haha agree with @melissad5086! Sometimes it was just too hot. You’ll see in my vlogs that some days I still wore shorts but I tried to keep from wearing crop tops at least. Loose, flowy, lightweight pants or even skirts and dresses are great options too! I can’t imagine how hot June was but early September was spicy too, uff! But it wasn’t too weird wearing shorts and lots of foreigners were wearing them.

Seattle has a great transit system, maybe you don't know about it because you live in east side which isn't IN Seattle?
Oh I know it well haha I was referring specifically to subway/trains not buses, and uff, nothing compares to Japan. It’s one of the best transit systems in the world - using subways and trains to connect all large cities.
