I adore Mei. Like this was the episode I fell in love with this character. For Support winning the medal is not as important as companies noticing their gear. So even if they don't have some sort of OP quirk or fighting skill as long as they got to advertise they're good. and Mei is just perfect. She's just as passionate about her "babies" as Izuku is about quirks. Which is why many people like them as friends and even ship them. Because they do make a good team.
I’ve always liked how we get through the fights efficiently and focus on the key fights the pacing for this tournament arc is just way better than a lot of other shounen battle anime imo
not really... MHA tournament was like a mini tournament for this veyr reason. All fights were pretty important anyway with exception of a few in basically any other shounen tournament arc. Especially DB and Naruto

They didnt show the lesser fights in the manga. They got a panel at most. This and the Tsuyu ep coming are why this is series one of the best manga adaption

This was a lesson in you can predict an outcome but you cant predict what they go through to win. Also MHA is a able to sidestep dragged out episodes like previous animes tournament arcs. It covers the entire round in one episode but you finish knowing something about each of the characters. Even the side characters like that smug guy from Class B has a bigger ego than Bakugo.
I'm a complete sucker for the underdog and I remember rooting so hard for Ochako when i first saw this episode. I don't get why people are inmediately always so convinced that she would lose. In my head, her advantages where threefold at this point: 1) Remember the cavalry battle. Bakugo could be barely bothered to remember everyone's name, let alone their quirks. He was so self important that his overconfidence might've given her an advantage and the element of surprise. 2) Bakugo's quirk requires mostly physical contact, still. As far as everyone knows at this point, to use those big ass explotions that cover a wide area he uses his gauntlets, which he doesn't have right now, so he would need to get close to Ochako to attack. If she was fast enough, one touch and she'd have almost complete control over the battle in an instant. Bakugo would float away towards the edge of the ring with the slightest push without any way to change his trajectory. He might've been able to use his explotions to stop himself, but as they've established, doing that requires a lot of control, and he's not used to try and do that in a state of weightlessness, giving Ochako time to attack. Plus she can add the weight again without direct contact, and without warning, so one wrong move and he'd be blasting himself off the ring by accident. 3) Bakugo's quirk is very destruction oriented. Same as in Battle Practice, at first Ochako didn't have much to work in on the ring if she wanted to throw something at Bakugo, but if she could somehow make him destroy the battle stage in big chunks then she'd have plenty to attack with. *[really vage spoilers for next episode]* Although seriously i never imagined she'd do what she did. I didn't even know she could lift that much. Considering what they all knew at this point, it was almost a perfect strategy.

Tyrion will beg dany to stop, so he well then free Jaime to get cersei out of the city. Kings landing is wrecked in battle. Hound fights mountain in cleganebowl and they both die. Jaime fights euron and kills him, but is fatally wounded. Jaimie and cersei die together by drinking poison. Dany is killing everyone in kings landing and saves burn them all with her one dragon. Tyrion convinces jon to commit treason and put an end to danys madness.jon tries to reason with her but to no avail. He then pledges his loyalty to her before stabbing and surrendering himself for the treason. Iron throne becomes a democracy made of a council of tyrion, davos, sam and bronn. Tyrion gives a speech and the king is voted rather than claimed through conquering. Bran is the king of the seven kingdoms. For his crimes jon takes back castle black. Arya leaves for her own journey, sansa rules the north as she wished. It just seems like the ending to the show is so predictable and they laid ground work in this season so these events to happen.

I was doing a post discussion with friends after this ep, we thought what could happen is this: is dany executes varys and assaults kings landing. Tyrion will beg dany to stop, so he well then free Jaime to get cersei out of the city. Kings landing is wrecked in battle. Hound fights mountain in cleganebowl and they both die. Jaime fights euron and kills him, but is fatally wounded. Jaimie and cersei die together by drinking poison. Dany is killing everyone in kings landing and saves burn them all with her one dragon. Tyrion convinces jon to commit treason and put an end to danys madness.jon tries to reason with her but to no avail. He then pledges his loyalty to her before stabbing and surrendering himself for the treason. Iron throne becomes a democracy made of a council of tyrion, davos, sam and bronn. Tyrion gives a speech and the king is voted rather than claimed through conquering. Bran is the king of the seven kingdoms. For his crimes jon takes back castle black. Arya leaves for her own journey, sansa rules the north as she wished. It just seems like the ending to the show is so predictable and they laid ground work in this season so these events to happen.
