- I have fished at Bakers Narrows Lodge several times now, but have yet to go target Walleye for a FULL day of fishing. I finally had the chance to see what this lake had to offer for Walleye and I was very impressed!

I had my best day of fishing ever this year on opening day, with a top 5 of 131”, with 2 28” in the mix, wich is my PB. Caught them all on the bottom bounce with worm harness combo in shallow water. SEEK AND DESTROY Clayton !!!!

I’m in love with Vmc jigs. Love the thick hooks they use with a decent length shank. Work perfect with a reaction innovations paddle tail on walleye
We use them for walleye here in Western PA love em!!
Keitech swim tails have been working well. Smaller profile 2.75" strike King rage swimmer also.

Mapping helps for sure!! Got new helix with SI and was able to find a gravel pile on my local lake where we slated the walleye! Can’t wait to try the spot come winter!
Mapping is the best technology that exists.

Not hating on the live scope like others are, but a suggestion I’d give is during the hook set/once the fish is on, I’d rather see you taking up more screen instead of the live scope footage. Makes it feel like I’m fishing in the boat with you when I can see you and the rod instead of the screen. Not sure what most fans prefer but that’s my 2 cents
**I made this comment early in the video. I noticed later on the screen showing you is a bit bigger in the latter half. So that earlier comment wasn’t all that accurate^^

Jay is too competitive and even with Lake of the Woods he doesn't have much chance in NW Ontario lol. I live in NW Ontario and the fishing here is okay but I know fishing will be better when I head west. My best fishing days last few years have all been in MB. Manitoba is insanely better than Ontario, better regulations and more modern catch and release mentality.

Do you have a screen shot of your mega live settings? I'm having a tough time cleaning mine up and still being able to see fish.

Great video, ? is what line weight, etc. set up that you use to snap jigging with the hyper hammer.
10-20lb main line braid and 14lb floro leaders. :) I will do a more in depth video on this in the near future :)

I dunno about that Tom can fish too :) Even those these fish aren't "as" pressured. They sure act like pressured fish. I could show you HOURS and HOURS of these fish just swimming around the bait. The lake I am on has so much natural bait it can be hard to catch them with artificial lures.
Clayton I might have said that wrong I’ve spent months over the years fishing Canada and the quality of fish you catch is very impressive. I would love to see you fish some Wisconsin water Green Bay or lake Winnebago. Just to see how you broke down the water. I love the channel and I’m pretty sure you can hang with boley.

If I did a top 5 walleye, it might be somewhere around the 80" mark. The inland lakes around me don't have a large number of big fish, maybe that's why I always say it's about the quantity not the quality.😁

Clayton So I have an ice fishing question. When fishing big Walleye using 2.5 to 4 inch rattle baits on a 38" medium rod. What kind of line works best? Braid with floro leader or just mono?

You can't call this fishing. No sport and no tactic to it. It's turning fishing into more of a pay-to-play sport... where the more dough that you can fork over, the better your chances of success. People like this guy leave less fish for the rest of us honest fishermen. #MakeFishingFunAgain
