Have been using Gamsol with colored pencils for a few weeks. So much fun and you're right, it makes an artist out of anyone!

You can buy OMS "Odorless Mineral Spirit" in large bottles and buy a letter sealer bottle at a Office Supply store which is just a sponge dabber bottle and fill it with the OMS which last a long time or you can get a lipgloss container and a cotton ball soaked in OMS and use that.

Thank you soooo much! I've been wondering how to make my bottle of Gamsol have that dauber top and now I know it's a letter sealer top! You've saved me many hours of frustration!

Good learning for me. I don't color, but if I ever start I'll be doing it this way for sure.

At a stamp convention several years ago, there was a booth, who I can't remember but it was a digital stamp website, they were using watercolor pencils gamsol, it worked quite nicely, colors were brighter and more intense than with water or colored pencil- more pigment I think. , so if you don't have traditional colored pencils, it can be used with watercolor pencils. Also they would not let my then 6 year old niece use the gamsol for safety reasons(they gave her some water to use)...which made me happy they were being safe over customer happiness.....it may have been Squiggles digital stamps.

Karla- I don't recommend using Gamsol with watercolor pencils. The media in WC pencils is made to be dissolved with water, and Gamsol has fumes and vapors that are meant to dissolve wax and oil. So using Gamsol with a watercolor pencil is unnecessary and exposing you to more fumes and vapors for no reason. Use a hammer to pound in a nail, not a suitcase. :)

Pat Hanuman It's from Inky Antics and it's called "Kite Buddies." It's designed to be used with the HoneyPop product to create pop-up cards. :)

CraftTestDummies That's good, because I'm not a paper snob either lol I was just wondering if it made a difference in the results depending on what card stock you use.

So after you've used the gamsol to blend, can you go over it with another color? To add more detail, etc.

Yes, I know but it is GAMSOL any better than the other OMS? It’s more expensive and just want to know whether it is better or not.
