Hope you guys enjoyed the story of my first hackathon! Was a huge learning experience for me and would definitely attend one again. Note: project demo is at around the 10:00 mark!
I recommend everyone please attend hackathons, especially if youre in tech related field, eng, compsci, etc. Its really good way to learn and make good projects which will help u greatly in landing good internships!
Coincidentally, I just participated in a 30 hr Hackathon, which was my second one. It was a great experience for me, learnt a lot, met a lot of great people!! My project was to integrate blockchain in the voting process to make it secure and could not be tampered.
Was the blockchain you integrated was ethereum/ solana or their own blockchain? I'm currently participating in my first hackathon wherein I'm required to build a dapp on using their own Blockchain APIs. I would love to hear your experience if you have had similar experience. Kindly let me know
I had my first hackathon too this year. 4 of us tried to build a machine learning model, use sockets for networking and build a gui in 12 hours. Obviously we didnt have time for all of it and ended up getting hung up on a porting error for 3 hours. But its just how everybody's first hackathon goes I guess.
Exactly! I have attended around 50 hackathons till today, It's always that one error which takes most of your time in the hackathon. So, when ever you have a error, try to debug for 30 mins. If it doesn't work, try to focus on other modules.
