    Is it possible for someone like me who is majoring in a completely unrelated field to break into tech through uni related events like hackathons, classes, and meetups? I plan on minoring in CS and I’m currently self learning through the Odin project. I just know that if I switch to majoring in CS now I won’t be able to graduate on time which is why I’m in this position.

    • @IYI_WOLF_IYI
      @IYI_WOLF_IYI 9 місяців тому +2

      yes, I did it as a chem/bioeE major, you can def do it.
      If you really start enjoying SWE while you're a student I'd def try to land an internship before you graduate/consider doing a CS minor, or even adding a 5th year just to give an extra opportunity to apply for internships before you graduate. I pivoted into CS (self-studying) after graduating and landed a job so it's def possible! but its a lot easier without internship, but I know from friends who did similar pivots before graduating that it's way easier if you get an internship or two under your belt!
