You can grow a mango tree from seed at home, but Fruiting is less likely: Mango trees grown from seeds may not produce fruit, or it could take a very long time, like 5-10 years or even longer.
Fruit might not be tasty: Even if it fruits, the quality may not be great.
It might be small, have weird-shaped seeds, or not taste as delicious as the mango you enjoyed.
This is because seed-grown mango trees don't inherit the exact characteristics of the parent tree.
However, growing a mango tree from seed can still be a fun project! You'll have a beautiful plant, and there's a small chance it might surprise you with fruit.
If you're set on getting tasty mangoes soon, consider buying a grafted mango tree. Grafted trees are grown from a desired variety and start fruiting much earlier, typically within 2-3 years.
