Hi, im looking at getting a zulus for my t1x but not sure what mount to go for, i would like to keep it as a dovetail but that comes in 35moa from optics warehouse and i thought it would be too much. Or would I be better going the picatinny route? Id be using it for rabbits from 50-150yds Thanks
Hi I'm not aware of any dovetail mounting options for the zulus as yet so cant say. But for your HMR I think the 0moa mount would work, I've currently got a 35moa mount on mine which has been shimmed because it was on my fac airgun and it works, but I've just got another zulus and it came with a 0 moa mount, which I will put on my HMR and hopefully it will work, will report back soon👍
Hi I think its because I have been using my phone to record some footage and when I rotate to camera it gives a mirror image, will figure it out so that It doesn't. All zulus's come as they are so no LH versions, which personally I see no need for and I'm left handed 👍
Yeah I will have a play around with the setting on the camera see if I can sort it. I've not encountered any issues with the bolt not being able to cycle due to interference from the moneys or the unit, it sits quite high as it is so should clear most bolts, on the tikka its 60' bolt throw so no chance of that but on my howa 1500 that's got a much more open bolt throw and it works absolutely fine, there cracking little scopes for the money 👍
I'm using the 35moa rail on the zulus and I've then put a cheap picatinny rail on the gun from Amazon. I do sometimes fit a external IR with an adjustable mount onto the zulus itself. Or you could fit a offset mount if you have space on the picatinny rail 👍

Regarding zero range I used to zero at 100yrds but I now zero at 42 yrds and it keeps it nice and flat out to 130yrds, I want to play around with a 75 yard zero to see if I can maximize the trajectory for shooting flat out to 150yrds. What do you zero yours at?
Nice video buddy. I'm relatively new to the .17hmr scene, as been using the .22lr for donkeys years. Can I ask what mod and rifle you're using ?. Looks like a CZ 457, but can't be sure ?.
Hi mate, thanks for the comment . I ditched my .22lr after getting the HMR as I felt it was a more versatile round and I was more productive with it than the .22lr The rifle is a tikka t1x with a wildcat panther moderator. I did have a cz457 in .22lr but the tikka is a better choice in my opinion, that's not to say its better, I just prefer the 3 position safety. That said the synthetic stock on the CZ was much better than the tikkas. If you can try some Remington accu-tips 17g give them a try there equally as good as the hornady vmax 👍
Sorry should have said, shots on rabbits were recorded through the arken zulus, I do have another camera that I sometimes bring out and set up on target but I was only zeroing so just put the kill shots up

Why is some of your video mirror imaged? Or do they make a zulus for left handed rifles?

Yeah, phones can be weird. So no issues with the bolt fouling the Zulus or mount? Probably depends on bolt lift angle.

What moa mount are you using on zulus and wher did you get riser? Im a lefty and bolt on rifle get in the the way of the ir, needing to raise scope up

Do you have an link for the riser

@jimwood thanks buddy really appreciate the comment and it's nice to know someone likes the content 🙏
@Veteranvermincontrol no worries. I've got some videos coming up with my 17hmr soon, cracking little rifle I thinking. Keep up the good work 👍
Nice shots, hope you feel better soon 🙂
Thanks mate, slowly getting there but still not back to normal yet😐
Fantastic video
Thank you thats greatly appreciated mate
For a gun show we need to see what you're shooting at and not you. Get a camera scope or a dedicated camera for the target.
All shots were recorded through the scope (arken zulus)

Have you watched the whole video ,he's using a Zulus and records the shots, or are you blind and having a bad day ?
