How does acceptance lead to love? Is it the fear of not being able to accept that would be dualistic?
I think love is nondualism. Achieving it can be done in many ways. Just what I think! Cheers.

My biggest dream always was to travel the world. My parents took me on trips every year until i was 12 years old, we stopped because economy got worse and we couldn't afford to travel. But it made me fall in love with travelling, i can write a paragraph on why i love it. Back when i was a kid i wrote down many places i wanted to visit, many foods i wanted to taste, many cultures i wanted to experience and many people i wanted to meet. As my life went on, my dreams were crushed because i realised i needed a lot of money to travel wherever i want and a job wouldn't let me travel whenever i want and system made me believe that without luck i am not able to achieve that. Good thing that i was always a rebellious kid and i question everything, 1 year ago i found a way i could achieve financial freedom and location freedom. I'm 18 now, i'm building a business and learning important skills to make it successful in hopes of achieving my dream! Many successful people who do achieve their dreams are left thinking "what now?". We put so much emphasis on our dreams of becoming something that we believe is greater, thinking it's what we need to be happy or fulfilled, but ask many successful people and they will most likely say that it's things like friendship and being a decent person, living in the moment and not chasing things that makes them happy and fulfilled. Your higher self isn't your dream job, what you think you need is often not what you really need, what we all need is accessible right now but it is overlooked in this material obsessed world. This isn't to say don't follow your dreams but don't think that your dream self is your higher self or your better self. If you want to be happy and fulfilled you have to find it in the present, in the now, as that is the only place you truly exist, it's available right now to discover. Chasing your dreams will only make you realise it was just a dream.

Courage comes from knowing you have absolutely nothing to lose. You have to see through all illusions that there is something to lose. You may lose your life, that’s the ultimate fear, but you lose your life in a way by wasting it and not acting on what you love. So you may as well go for it and do what brings you joy rather than acting out of fear that you wont make it.

I like a lot of the points you make. I agree that I think we buy into a lot of the romanticized stories of heros etc. because we like to identify with the hero. We like to think that we can be the hero. I find myself in a situation sometimes where I feel relieved all of a sudden... relieved not because I have achieved something but relieved because I feel like I can achieve what I want to achieve. It's an odd feeling, with that feeling of relief I oftentimes find connected to it a lack of energy to pursue the very thing I want to achieve, as if what was initially driving me was fear and as soon as I started feeling relief I started feeling calm.
The time we have on this planet is only valuable in the face of death. If someone is immortal, there is essentially no value to his time besides the value that this person can spend with transient things around them. The fact that moments pass and that life passes is what gives meaning.
I also love your points about acknowledging that procrastination in its very nature is nothing but fear. Furthermore, the quote by Carl Jung is amazing. I haven't heard it but it really speaks to me... differentiation and uncovering the subconscious feelings and fears that are forming your narrative, is one of the most valuable things one can do for themselves on their path to self actualization I think. To realize that one paints their own perspective on reality is more powerful than almost anything else.
Things I disagree with or would critize about your approach to this is your notion of fear and the divine. I think they are too simplified and/or not necessarily relevant in the way you understand them in my opinion. To regocnize fear as a lack of belief is simplifying and not taking into account our evolutionary history. We are animals, we feel fear like the fear we see in mice, dogs, cats, birds etc. They will percieve it differently, but in its core we feel the same fear. With that said it is unreasonable to attach some romanticized notion like "belief" to what "fear" is. Fear is supposed to protect us and there are very reasonable instances for fear to occur. You aren't afraid of a bear because of your lack of belief that the bear won't harm you.
I agree that procrastination comes from fear and that a fear can be overcome. But that doesn't happen by simply "believing until the fear disappears". Confrontation and experience is naturally what changes the way our brain works. That's why I agree with the sentiment of getting out of your comfort zone. Only then will your brain learn that what you were afraid of, is nothing to be afraid of and you will truly grow towards whoever you wanted to be.
In my opinion it is important to understand ourselves as animals. Then we can start to understand things we do in context of why we evolved to be like that. What purpose did whatever we think, feel or do serve in nature? Our reactivity to dopamine (social media addiction, addiction in general can be traced back to that), our reactivity to fear... and all other thought processes and behaviours. With that said I would argue that things like us dreaming about something is merely something to keep us going. A specific dream, a specific vision is something that keeps us going. Something that provides meaning. And this is basically where the divine comes in... an ideal dream in our head IS equivalent with the divine, so I agree with that point you made. I think that the divine occurs naturally as a conclusion in our head when we realize that things can be done better, that I myself could be better at something. A kind of logical limit of this way of thinking is a perfect being (god) and a perfect world (paradise). Yes, we aren't striving to be an allmighty god, but the "perfect" in our life is omnipresent, whether you are a theist, atheist, agnostic or whatever... the "perfect", the "divine" merely provides meaning and keeps us sane. I think this curse is a natural consequence of our intelligence as the human race. A world that we can't make sense of, a seemingly meaningless universe... as human beings we percieve what we do as something with a purpose, we do things because we want to achieve something. Our acts are always percieved in the face of causality... but natural selection and our evolution requires us to stay alive despite the pain in the world. Our intelligence should suffice, a cynic might argue, to realize that to avoid suffering we might as well kill ourselves as life is meaningless. But most humans don't do that. And the way our head makes sense of that I think, is by introducing the divine and perfect. Something to strive for... a final place to be... a state of our life that makes all the suffering be worth it. We dream of something despite not knowing what being in that dream would actually be like. The dream fulfills its purpose as a dream and nothing more.
To add a dark point to this... as animals, we were never born to be happy. We were born to reproduce and survive. Our brain would much rather have any partner that we can stay alive with and have children with, than attempt to live a happy life and never find someone. We settle for less because our brain is scared we never find something better. And that's 100% reasonable from the point of view of nature and evolution. My premise of course is that our model of evolution is correct in principle, but I think most of you will agree with me there.
With all that said... I think the way to happiness is to first of all accept that we were in fact not born to be happy and that it will always be a conscious effort to make life about being happy. I disagree with the sentiment of "achieving my dream". We don't know what living that dream is like... a dream in my opinion is only valuable to shape your path and true happiness goes beyond that. I do not know yet what happiness really means. But I think happiness is a way of thinking and living.
Thanks for reading to whoever took the time to read all this!

Wow this is a great comment, and I know it’s random but while reading that I thought about how attack on titan the show plays out and it seems this is exactly what the writer meant to convey through the show. There were even many times in the show where he used quotes like “everybody has to be chasing something” even through all the suffering the characters were obviously going through. I think that’s the only thing that separates us from animals is just the ability to believe in something outside of us.

If anyone feels this way and doesnt like it i think the best solution is not to think too hard on the topic and just do things for the sake of doing them, but there will always be moments where you think about where you are in your life and why your trying so hard to do what you do. And also what you said about how human intelligence is the cause to our thoughts on life being meaningless is very true.

Fear is what drives human nature to evolve. The difference comes down to the person that has the will strong enough to overcome the overwhelming emotion. The ability to bring forth the resolve that outweighs the immediate threat.
Sometimes the threat is ourselves and the fact that we cannot face the fact of how far away we are from our highest self. To retreat into what we know best. Comfort.
    The killer of all dreams.
I hope that one day we all can find the strength to overcome what chains us.

to add onto this conversation, I know it’s esoteric in where it came from, but a something someone said during a tarot reading has stuck with me for a good while now.
When the brain is finally letting go of unhealthy patterns and adapting to new and unknown experiences or ways of thought, it’ll sometimes latch on to old ways of thinking in a desperate attempt to stick with what it knows, but breaking the ego and allowing for that to be a conscious thought of “no, this is ok, and I won’t react out of fear” is integral for taking the next step otherwise you’ll constantly find yourself in the same loop of problems until you find the source in the self.

It also may be because we are afraid of brutal honesty. By ignoring what we could do we are suppressing our potential, and by being brutally honest and taking those steps to our higher self, we have to inwardly acknowledge our faults and failures. I loved what you said about how we plan for something higher, it also clearly outlines what failure looks like. It’s more comfortable for us to stay ignorant and at a lower energy rather than put in the spiritual work to honestly further ourselves.

I'm so glad I've watched this video.... This helps me a lot, I'm only 16 yo, almost 17, but I have a big dream, since I was a kid I always dreamed big, and it's scary, time flies, and I also suffered bullying as a kid and it gave me tons of trauma.... Not only I want to live my best life, but I also want to do my best to be recognized and help THE WORLD, LITERALLY, maybe go down in history and well...... The thing is, I am capable, my soul is capable, but there is also this "human limits" yk???? Idk man.... It's scary.....

this hugely resonates with me. i lost around 60 kilos in the span of a few years since high school and every time i'd go on a jog or try not to think about eating unhealthy i always had this feeling that i was fighting myself, which actually feels like one of the harder fights of life. i knew that the only person that can really get me down is me but then i burnt out and now relapsed into depression/anxiety whatever it is and this video really made me notice how subconsciously what im afraid of is failing of achieving my best self.

Recently I got to realize that it is one thing knowing the truth and coming to terms with the reality that your reality may have been programmed by predetermined and social circumstances, another thing to learn to be strong to resist or break free from the Matrix, and another thing to learn how to fight even stronger to become one with your new higher self, all of which comes with great challenges which demand taking responsibility at all possible cost. Ones who are truly willing and determined to take this great ascent will experience enlightening fulfillment in both the material and the intellectual/spiritual realm, like Plato hinted in the Allegory of the Cave.

Thanks for the video. I really enjoyed the message at the end. I noticed that abt myself too. I fear my own power sometimes. It feels like a lot of responsibility and I sometimes feel like I am not capable of making the right choices. I also have learned one of my fears for not trying to make the life I want is the fear of once I have it not being happy with it. Like once you’ve reached the goal it doesn’t feel as great as you thought it would. Or the journey kind of burned you out getting there. I don’t want to be one of those stories. Thanks again for the video. Appreciate it.

I consider my higher-self to be quite ruthless. I've compared the both of us and there are things I've witnessed which made me say to myself "I would never do that." But is that the real truth? Or have I been so conditioned by society to shrink myself for the benefit of others and for what some may consider survival?
    I'm torn.

    • @josevanreyes
      @josevanreyes 2 роки тому +2

Your ruthlessness is your shadow which you need to integrate. Your higher self is the self is that of love and unity with the world. That takes understanding one another and having empathy for each other. The ruthlessness comes from your ego not the self and there's nothing wrong with that. The fact that you're aware of this means that you have done some shadow work and it's not something that can sabotage you without your own knowledge .

    AMAZING!!!
This was so beautiful and absolutely uncanny in relevance that it was jaw-dropping. ❤❤❤ I subscribed immediately. I never really had an Earthly occupation I wanted to do above all as a kid, except maybe a demon-slaying alien or archangel. 😂 when I was like 5 years old I put on a cape and stood at the top of the stairs and imagined satan appearing before me, and I knew with absolute certainty that Satan would be afraid of me. Goosebumps raised on my neck and travelled around my body and I felt extreme power and fearlessness of any and all evil. I felt like the champion of god come to hunt chaos which was seeking to destroy souls. That’s kinda a heavy trip for a tot. 😂 I was extremely different mentally, and I actually considered that I might have been an alien as an actual theory. But I could also see so much in the smallest things. I could see “seeds of destruction” and I liked reading horror but it never affected me in how it was supposed to. It helped me understand fear and destruction. Years later, horror stories would go mainstream with the Stephen King stuff… ❤ Anyway, I loved this, I am trying to be my best self and I actually read the Stephen Pressfield book several times too. The war of art in my case is the war against the death of humanity from ignorance so it’s more difficult in that regard. There’s a lot of problems to solve in a lot of areas. Thankfully there’s an information explosion and an internet to help. Trying to stay positive… 🤔 I literally know I was born to do this. Except there’s no job or grant money for that. So yeah that’s my main problem. It’s like they threw a civilization party in my honor but forgot to actually expect me. Actually nothing is ever just a metaphor. Why do you think the earliest writings were pictures eventually becoming hieroglyphics? That’s how god does it. Our modern writings mask this important relationship and a lot of deception and chaos leaks in right there. Anyway thanks again. You are sooo right. I never actually feared anything except me, what I saw. What I am capable of. That infinite power. I know what it is. In scientific detail now. All the ducks are in a row so to speak. Ima do this thing. ❤️‍🔥🙏🏻
