I remember the first time I saw him fight and was amazed at how fast hand speed was and elusive he was. I remember just seeing opponents head snap back and see lopez jab returning. I then looked at past fights and was in awe and couldn't understand why there wasn't more media about how good this guy actually was. I know not being in one of the heavier weight classes contributed to his lack of notoriety but greatness shines through whether highlighted or not. I think D. Johnson aka Mighty mouse is very similar in that in his division no one really even challenged them and many say he is in conversation of GOAT. I think Lopez should be in conversation, doesn't mean he is GOAT, but the techinical side, physical speed, and true dedication and professional attitude that he showed over a lengthy amount of time truly showed he was one the greatest fighters ever.
My all-time favorite non-heavyweight. He really was as close to being a "perfect fighter" as you could possibly get. He never cherry picked old and worn out opponents like other guys did. His divisions were loaded and he took on ALL comers and NO ONE could manage to beat him. Alarez came close, he was a good fighter but very dirty and that to me is a dishonor to the sport. Ricardo has had a HUGE impact on Mexican boxing. Just look at Juan Manuel Marquez - he has almost the same exact style and holds his hands up high the same way and has possibly just as great an uppercut to go along with that fencing type of boxing style. That's pure Finito right there. Great video, SALUTE!
Now that’s what I call uppercuts! Undefeated champion with astonishing one-punch power - couldn’t have been more legendary! Thanks for the video, my sheer admiration to this great fighter!
I hope many more people get to see and appreciate this gifted boxer. Rhythm Boxing did a great job putting together this tribute to one of the best light weight boxers of all time.

Era tan superior que eso le.hizo confiarse contra el búfalo.

What a great tribute to the great living legend from Mexico! Thank you and viva Ricardo "finito" Lopez!

This BOXER is a real LEGEND of a boxing WORLD...& a HEART of a LION.
Greatest Mexican Fighter Ever! 💥🥊💯
de acuerdo contigo el mejor, el propio Chavez lo ha reconocido como tal
In my opinion he is number 1 .. Salvador Sanchez. 2. and Ruben Olivares 3..
He’s way better than canelo. That’s for sure. This man fought everyone.
Genius fighter. Very calm, very precise punches. He literally is the God of Boxing.
One of the greatest fighters in history and underappricated fighter that man was an absolute savage!
HE WAS LIKE THE BALLET OF BOXING , HIS BOXING AND EXECUTION OF PUNCHES WAS JUST BEAUTIFULL .
That's why we called him "finito"
Yeah, people these days often refer to jab and clinch type fighters as technical fighters when that's really more of a spoiler style, however, Ricardo was the true definition of a technical fighter who utilized skill and footwork with little clinching.

His subtle faints before throwing a punch is a lost art.
And his punch selection and defense were brilliant.
Now I know who Mayweather Jr. and Lomochenko were watching...
*feints, not faints
throwing feints is not a lost art. boxers have been doing that since before boxing became an organized sport. you must be new to this sport.
"Lopez couldn't manage to miss, if he tried!" AWESOME.
I grew up watching this man's fights and enjoy every single one I even go back to seeing his fights a true champion in an out the ring never lost one never.

My favorite boxer!!! El Gran Finito!🇵🇷
El.Finito Lopez, el boxeador Mexicano más completo, tanto en la defensa como en el ataque, además es un ejemplo como buen ser humano

Manuel Marquez and Alexis Arguello as well.
So technical and composed. Truly a genius at work. Bravo Finito , bravo.
