You wife has a 2009 Fiat 500 - 1.2 Lounge model. Manual. In Europe the 1.2 petrol engine is the most common - it has a very modest 69 bhp! She has owned it for over 3 years and taught both of our children to drive in it so it’s had a fairly tough life! The only thing that has needed replacing is the brake light switch. Thats’s it, literally nothing else has gone wrong and the AC still blows ice cold. We get it serviced by our mechanic regularly and its had new tyres and wiper blades etc but that’s it. It’s been super reliable and I’d recommend one to anyone .
EJ’S GARAGE ... The TPS is minor and easily rectified. I’ve owned my 500 Sport since new and have driven it for over 153 kilometres with few problems. Hope you are as lucky with your Fiat 500.
@@ejsgarage ... Oh no, it’s a trick to open the hatch when the electric release has lost power. It’s most likely a broken wire in the harness rubber boot from the body to the hatch, located in the upper left corner. You’ll have to remove the hatch cover from inside and manipulate the lock mechanism with a small screwdriver. If I can help further let me know.

Two days ago, she wouldn't turn over, held onto the key and had to be towed (after battery refused to charge) The dealerships here are known to scam folks. I know it's not much to fix but also know the dealer is going to fleece me with labor costs. What say you??

If your battery refuses to charge its dead. Next day delivery instead of towing anywhere and you can change your battery yourself. Look up disconnecting and connecting battery first.

Those little 500 sports drive great build quality is cheap but so are the cars. Bet its nice and relaxing getting back in the jag. Scan tool is great but in the UK we have to pay to get the VIN numbers from the database so will be no info built in.
Oh wow, I never knew that a VIN number has to be purchased in the U.K. Going to the Jag from the Fiat is like moving from the airplane economy class to the 1st class.

I had a 03 Jaguar S Type. One of the best cars I ever had. I gave it to my cousin when I bought the XF. The XF was the worst car ivy ever owned, I'd spent thousands of dollars for repairs on that POS car. I got rid of it and bought a 2013 Lincoln MKS Eco-boost AWD. I'm In the process of buying a Fiat 500 Sport 2015 as a car for my spouse. I've done quite a bit of research on the Fiat 500's and most people love them. From what I've chi on repair costs they aren't out of line for any other non-exotic car. I'm looking forward to picking mine up later next week. I had to have it shipped to me from out of state.
Unfortunately Jaguar quality went down hill when Tata Motors bought it. I still keep my old 2002 Jaguar XUR and it is still running. The Fiat 500 Sport has its own issue but it is a lot cheaper than the Jaguar to fix and it doesn't always happen. I bought the Fiat 500 Sport for my daughter who is going to college. Yes we are expecting a second child, so need more space (and more horsepower). Bought the 500S new in 2014 and didn’t have any issues except regular maintenance. Only one light in the dashboard was flickering, so we had to change the electronics (EUR 600).

Try mixing this with 93 octane fuel every 5000 miles, the injectors may need some cleaning amzn.to/3fCsz6Z. Use premium instead of regular
