Well done!!!!!! Also I can tell A PROUD MOTHER when I see one, her smile watching you is pleasant and radiant much like your performance!! Wishing you all the best young man, you are incredibly talented.
This young pianist is going to go very far. I'm glad to come across this video and will not forget the name, 'Kayden Kelly!' Fantastic! Bravo!
Kamala harris affect. Specially if he identifys as a woman.
My god, what a treat it was to listen to your marvelous renderings of these varied pieces. You are skilled and talented with a wonderful presence. Thank you so much for sharing it all with us.
I think the casual listener might not realize how much life he is breathing into these pieces. amazing talent but also a mix master.
I want to comment on the first piece and I will later when I have time to process it all. I am at a loss for words at the moment. Insanely amazing the maturity level that he breathes through his phrasing and technique. Completely stunning. What a blessing and a gift from God.
How beautiful so talented he is awesome are young people should be respected and supported ❤️ 😊
This is a truly awesome young man! I am truly proud of him! Just simply.....ADMIRABLE!!!!!
We'll see those beautiful curls on the great stages of the world! Monstrous playing!!!!
I see him first time.
Very emotional, very nice visual,
I can’t help feeling new generation and beautiful world.
I strongly think him to be famous musician!!
Wow! This was stellar! I intended to stay only 5 minutes but ended up engrossed in the entire performance. The Chopin and the Rachmaninoff - sublime! For those of us who are pianists or even former pianists who reached a certain skill level, we know world-class talent when we hear it. It has a certain veneer. The tell-tale signs: extreme dexterity in the playing, strong rhythmic coherence, and highly cohesive phrasing. All of which were on full display here. Kayden fearlessly raced toward certain passages full of pitfalls, emerging relatively unscathed. But, he also took other passages at a more moderate pace. Loved how he paced the Rachmaninoff. When left me perplexed is how he was able to provide what we all come to expect from these pieces, yet at the same time put forth renditions that felt wholly unexpected. It was exhilarating. What a thrill. Bravo!
it is not a world class talent, please!
Absolutely love your expression - beautiful performance..........
Very enjoyable Kayden ❤
So beautiful! I am very happy and hopeful for watching you tonight, young man! Love from Brazil
This young man going places!
Mendelssohn in all of his compositions has many layers and voice going on at any given second.
I was impressed with how you emphasized the important and even secondary voices.
I was very impressed.
simply enjoyable, it is like no one is in the room...and your doing what you love to do most - thank you sharing your talent with us
Bravo to Kayden! Hope your love and passion for music will carry you through the all the bumps and challenges in your artistic journey. You have a new fan in me! So exciting to see a new young talent from the USA!!!
Exceptionally stirring and evocative musicality from one so young! Pay no attention to the self-styled technical experts. You are becoming quite an artist, and a force of nature! I look forward to following your career for a long time. PS Your hair looks great, just as it is! ;-)
Genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My hairs raised and tears came to my eyes seeing this wonderful person play the rendition of all the pieces were astounding especially for the Rondo capriccioso. In relation to the prelude in gminor ,at first I thought the piece was rushed and the left hand wasn't very strong and accented, but I was thinking of the piece in the mechanical and typical way it's usually played. However, he created a new and refreshing rendition it was completely different and unexpected and works so well. He has a bright future ahead of him.
g minor prelude was very poor.
Exceptional! This Chopin Scherzo!
Thank you for this incredible performance. I wish you well in all your endeavours through your musical and personal life. You will bring a lot of joy in many lives. Be aware, we can never be perfect in every aspect of life and don't fail because of that.
Absolutely Amazing
Nicely done, Kayden!
Wonderful to hear!… so glad I found this! It’s a pleasure to have been able to follow him from his very young years here in Santa Fe and watch him grow thus far. He seems so much more patient with his expression in this performance - no rush to get all the notes out … . I look forward to hearing more from and about him in the future….❤
God bless them fingers forever and always. its so refreshing 2 see a person of color being simply amazing
I'm always elated to watch pianists of colour perform. A sign that the large concert halls of the world are beginning to make room for us. Thanks for sharing this with us. I'm grateful to the organizers also. You have a new subscriber. 👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏
It is indeed important to involve non-white population into the cherished riches of classical music. Fortunately, the number of young people coming to understand and fall in love with it, is growing. I may be wrong to think that currently it is Asian kids who seem to be conquering the highest levels of performance. Thanks to YT, I have been able to discover more youngsters of color dedicating their great talents to classical music. But what is really important to me is that when I listen to excellent performances, my mind is no longer on the performer's origins or race. It is music, and only music. Kayden Kelly is a wonderful musician. Apart from his playing, he impresses me with his very elegant presence: beautiful posture, no theatricals, no posing. He is creating music. I have very much enjoyed this concert. Kayden has already gained a lot of experience (from the Google information). I wish him lots and lots of well-deserved success!
I think it is offensive to mention colour. It is as if his playing itself is not important and you notice colour not the music.
@MishaSkripach you have a right to your opinion, but I meant no harm as I am of the same race. There's no way I'd not have noticed his music and then make a comment thanking Kayden for sharing his performance with us here and thanking the organizers too!
@@petersnell3128 Well, now I am scared to consider the mushy technique and disappearing "swallowed" notes , because any criticism will be made racial by your logic.
@MishaSkripach like I said, you have a right to your opinion or any other opinion you might have about my comment. I have clarified the fact that I meant no harm and I believe that sets the record straight.
This young man is not only beautiful to look at, but his music takes you away from this world, magnificent, exquisite.
Damn son, that was a bangin' set. Your mom and family had the best smiles watching you perform.
Beautiful playing, Kayden! Everything so perfectly articulated, measured and musicianly! God bless you!
Absolutely lovely!
You have won my heart and so, may the joys of artistic satisfaction continually reward you with countless successes! This was a glorious recital! Bless you, Kayden!
Thank you for your wonderful playing. It made my day! ❤❤❤
Wonderful interpretation! I really applaud you for your superb talent
Thanks for the seldom played Coleridge-Taylor, with its echos of Chopin and Schumann, but solid on its own. What a delight!
Wonderful technique and quite the ambitious program to perform!
¡Bravo!
Amazing! You played all those pieces from memory with your eyes closed most of the time.
I've watched Alexander Malofeev play a lot, and he usually has the sheet music up there.
You're the best, Kayden!
The word virtuoso when applied to a youth usually makes me flee to safer pianists, but I'll give his due to Kayden Kelly. He captivated me from the first few bars. So much sensitivity I stopped and let myself be immersed in the music.
Beautiful interpretation.
Bravo !

Bravo!! And I love the Mozart hair!
I played this at my senior recital, so I know how challenging it is. Nuanced interpretation, restrained, very fine technique. Bravo!
Added to daily calm work playlist. Thx man you're great

Maestro Kelly is well on his way. Confident, defiant, powerful, poignant.
Well done. Congrats !!!
Outstandingly expressive!
This is absolutely fantastic. Moreover, it appears he is playing without the assistance of sheet music. Bravo!

I have played piano, off and on, for years, but I will never achieve the assuredness and control of this very young man.

Simplemente fenomenal!! Gracias
very refreshing, good job!
(In the description, should be Nocturne op.27 no.1 🙂)
Wonderful interpretation. His playing is perfectly articulated and as he matures, he will be a true virtuoso! Besides, he’s got rhythm!🎹👍🏼🎼
I think you ARTICULATED exactly what I was trying to say. To me the pieces felt so robust and solid that I can sort of see them in my mind. I haven't stopped thinking about this performance since yesterday. I am so .... not sure stunned is the word .... but excited to see him grow. It think, musically, he gets it on a totally different level. I am beyond impressed. I simply can't say enough.
@@dmp7252 thank you for your kind words.😍 I expect this young man eould grow into one of a kind virtuoso of the piano. 🎹 I congratulate him for his incredible performance, really heartfelt, and with a rhythm of his own. I predict he will be at home either classical as well as jazz.🤗🤗🎹
Yes 👍 strong virtuosity. Now, the rest is the living and experiences, maturation.
👋👋👋💐💐💐
So musical and sensitive, and you have a beautiful lightness of touch. Your arms look very relaxed and I can see you have a refined approach to the key. This is a huge program especially for a young artist such as yourself but you played it beautifully. The only comment I have is I'd like to hear you on a better piano.
All men are always equal ❤❤❤✝️✝️✝️✝️✌️✌️✌️
I mean he's a great pianist but still in the making ..... he's so young , I will wait for his coming
He is already excellent...but like he said hi self...he keeps pushing to the next level....
Kayden, although I am not a musician myself, I greatly appreciate the lyricism you convey. I think your instinctually rich dynamic modulations would be very suitable for more modern pieces. To partially continue the Polish note of this recital, I would love to hear your take on Ligeti's Etude No. 6 - "Automne à Varsovie" (Autumn in Warsaw) or any other of his pieces, if you ever even add him to your repertoire.
You are admirable, another fan who joins you from Caracas, Venezuela. I am a music lover, I adore the piano, especially Chopin, and I live immersed in the Venezuelan Music System, appreciating countless national and international talents. Regrettably, my country has been the victim of a fierce dictatorship, but today we hope to get rid of it through democratic means and recover again, so we can return to NY and enjoy your recitals. However, I could put you in contact with the authorities of the National Orchestra System so that you can make a nutritious visit to Venezuela, where you will also enjoy wonderful beaches with warm waters, excellent food, a variety of landscapes such as La Selava and Angel Falls, landscapes that those who visit say are the best they have ever seen in their lives, and of course, a great cultural exchange and take great friends from Venezuela. Unfortunately, I am not a musician, but I am an artist in architecture, cooking and graphics. I spend my time between concert halls, theater and cinema, at least one of each per week, when I am not under the beach tanning. I have great friends in each type of art. I recommend waiting a few months to see how democracy evolves, although Venezuela currently, despite the evil of narco-tyranny, is quite safe for tourism.
If Venezuela were a dictatorship, you wouldn't be able to get rid of the current government through today's democractic election. You should keep your right-wing lies to yourself, and not pollute the comment section of this beautiful performance.
It’s official I’m jealous.
Just to read the above “opinions” is really fascinating
Right? I had a similar thought. So many self-styled experts out there . . .
Nocturne C♯ minor is not Op. posth, it is Op.27 No1
Why is that row empty? I would've loved to be there.
I can’t hear what Kayden was saying?! How do I do this?
Are you studying at Julliard ?
Did he compose these songs or is this someone else compositions ? If this is his he is a monster genius !
I noticed a completely different arrangement of Chopin nocturne in C# m which sounded awesome...
I wonder is it Steinway?
It is a Steinway concert grand model D, the preferred instrument of most concert Pianist.
Gorgeous! Your family, friends and colleagues must be proud. As for the adults in the room, if the seating selection was planned in advance, the optics from here look like you're intentionally separated by race. Is this NYC in 2024 or the 1940s in the Deep South? Stay blessed.
