  • 🔹 Solo Motorcycle Camping Alone With My Harley Davidson Road Glide here in Minnesota, I have been camping hundreds of times but never by myself, I generally like to have some company whether it be a friend or my son when I am camping, someone to talk to and share the adventure with but this gave me an opportunity to make this video and test out some gear so its worth it. This is my first solo motocamping experience, I hope you enjoy!

    I went Motercycle camping last week for the first time in my life and it’s was great. Got a little cold at 47 degrees but survived. I’ll be going again. In Oklahoma it gets really hot in the summer so spring and fall our best for tent camping. Enjoyed your video! Keep them coming brother.

    lol I like camping by myself because at some point someone feels the need to whine about how cold it is, or that they didn't bring the right kind of gear, bugs, blah blah. I have very little patience for whiners when I'm trying to enjoy my nature time.

    • @Touringmidwest
      @Touringmidwest  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for joining me, I had a great time. Yeah alone time is good, I guess i just enjoy sharing experiences with somebody else, I don't like drinking alone either haha. P.s. I might be one of the whiners you speak of 😆 🤣 I usually forget something important.

    • @AstheMagpieFlies
      @AstheMagpieFlies 3 роки тому

      😂 hopefully you've never forgotten a sleeping pad, or a warm enough sleeping bag... one year at the Dream Roll a girl forgot to pack the rain fly for her tent (a pretty fatal mistake in the PNW) and all I could think was.... how the heck do you 'forget' your rain fly lool

    Solo is my thing... as an introvert I recharge in solitude. On my bike, about four or five nights, a convenient creek to wash in, plenty of good food, a small fire at night, minimal gear, and plenty of twisties In Idaho or Montana, is perfect... for me.

    They should make the fork prongs thicker and have fewer of them. Maybe a three prong fork would be more appropriate.

      I plan to do a review on this, I had a short review in this video but I removed it because it was not fitting the flow. I have not seen the lynx2 in person yet but this one is pretty good and has some nice features but man its tiny haha 😄 I would like to get the lynx 2 also because I want to compare it directly to my half dome 2+ I think they will be very similar and my tent is almost perfect in my opinion, I love it.

      Its tiny, I could do an over night maybe 2 but if I had to spend any time in it other than sleeping I might lose my mind lol. I have a 2 man that I usually use. I plan on doing a review on this one in the near future.

    Just found out this channel. I’m doubting about how to travel. Soft luggage or tourpack. What is your opion ? Previous HD had a tourpack so didn’t have these questions. Now I’m doubting what to do.

      Hmmm, I love hard luggage but there are some good options for soft luggage as well. Check the top deck ii from @rikrak or @ciro has come out with some really nice luggage options as well.

    Great video Andrew. Really good production value and I like the tunes. You are making me hungry and want to go moto camping. If only it wasn’t raining here. Only feedback is WAY too many ads in that video. If you could cut those back a bit, that would be appreciated. Hard to get fully into the video when you get interrupted every 4 minutes with an ad. Happy riding!

    Bro, that’s livin.... I’d do that all day long rather than hanging around the house with nothing on tv. How far did you ride from home to catch that campground? Nice to go solo and enjoy some quiet time...good stuff... really enjoyed this bud. You should do a whole series of solo camp outs off the a Road Glide!

    How'd you like the tent? They are good for quick solo nights, or if you are moving constantly. I love the solo tents for quick pitches. Those things are storm proof too. If I am staying more than a night, I will certainly take a bigger tent.

    • @Touringmidwest
      @Touringmidwest  3 роки тому +1

      I do like it for how small it is packable, and also the small size makes it nice for staying warm in chilly weather, works well for an over night trip or like you said on the move it would be great but man if I was in stormy weather and that was my only shelter.. id lose my mind in that small off a space.. i had a whole little first impressions bit in this video but I felt that it slowed down the progression for this one plus added another 4 minutes so I cut it out sadly.. i still want to do a video about it though, thanks again, it's a solid tent with many of the features I liked for when I bought my tent so I definitely think it will make a solid video.
