Careena, I enjoyed the video. I know you like to use traditional old school gear, so I won't throw out too many ideas.
I'm 63, and live down in Idaho. I've been solo camping off my Harley for decades. I love the freedom and adventure it provides. Camping off a bike means you keep it simple and minimal.
For shelter, I use a military poncho, GoreTex Bivy, Tyvek ground sheet, Down Bag & Air Pad. Usually I like a plow-point setup which provides adequate cover. If I have no trees, I'll tie to the high-side of the bike, opposite to its lean. I use a puck for the kickstand, if needed.
My mess is a titanium mug, stuffed with some Hex Fuel tabs, foil, a P38, spork, Granola Bars, creamer, and Medaglia D'Oro (instant espresso). I like to eat locally in town at a diner or bar & grill... Tasty looking grub though!
My bikes saddle bags hold a trauma kit, Bic, small Gerber MxTool, and a change of clothes. Good boots, my vest & jacket, a lite hoody, and plenty of cash.
Each time I go, I'll take note of what I used and didn't. Most people bring too much crap. Baby whips and TP are always included...
One last thing... for personal protection an airhorn is amazing. It'll scare the Bajeebers out of any low life who happens by. I've had black bears wander up to me in the night... one blast, and they left a trail of pucky that necessitated a shovel to bury.
    Happy & Safe adventures!

This is by far my favorite video you've done so far. You included a lot of things I really like. I'm a huge fan of motorcycle camping and already thought you were badass before I seen you do it. Now only more so lol. Also I'm big on understanding your landscape and knowing a few things about the trees, plants and wild life that surround you, so good on you for getting into that too! And also that stool you brought is one of my favorites. I think you should try it again next time, but it defiantly works better with some longer sticks for legs. Also for the top of the legs that slide into the leather sleeves of the stool, it's good to round those ends out a bit with a bevel on the wood. Helps keep the leather seat in good shape in the long term.
I remember in a video a while ago, you expressed some worries of rather or not these videos are worth it for you to keep doing. That's up to you to decide of course, but there's a lot of us who really do appreciate them.

Thank you so so much for the kinds words, feedback and encouragement! You have no idea how much reading positive comments like this from someone who actually cares and put their time into showing me really means to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I certainly don't want to give up on making videos any time soon, some of them will not be the most epic, but I will always try to put out videos that add some measure of value or entertainment. Thanks again!

Nice choice for a bush bike with the Yamaha XT250 there Lexi... Simple aircooled injected bike, not much to go wrong in the bush. No radiator, no coolant hoses, no thermostat to fail. Pretty bulletproof little bikes. Nice choice.

From 2006 thru about 2015, I used to do roadtrips (often muliistate) with friends on our Kawasaki KLR650 Dual Sport bikes. From North Florida up to western North Carolina a few times were the longest rides. For one period of over two years my bike was my only transportation. Rain or shine, hot or cold. 😎👍
My first long ride I built a larger cargo rack, added tank panniers and saddle bags, and carried far too much stuff, most of which went unused. I learned quickly what was really needed. 😀

If there's a healthy looking river or creek where you're at next time you fancy a bit of halumi or steak on your way out I recommend grabbing a decent sized flat stone if you can spot one, It'll add some weight to your pack but be super worth it in regards to cooking at dinner time.
Just clean that sucker off, put it on your coals to let it heat up and you're good to go!

In the 1970's when motorcycle gear was an invention, & riding gear was leather & expensive , we lit our cigarettes off the hot exhaust, & the fire too. The latter was started with gasoline which ensured you got results ! Flashlights were big , heavy & dim ,The only L E D 's were in the bottom of your electric coffee pot to indicate it was on .Luggage was the cheapest strongest backpacks tied together & thrown over the seat , sometimes tied to the passenger pegs.Clothing was the layered look ,& anything was made workable .Cooking was fire heated rocks assisted by some foil. Like your video .
