Over the moon. He fully got around Ollie in a presser after Geelong, singing his praises so, yes, leadership abilities to go along with his on field brilliance. Love the guy and nothing will make me forget his heroics to get us to our first finals even when we get our premierships with him. So happy with this news. 💙
I'm older than the wheel - I can remember seeing us win exactly half of our sixteen premierships. I have nothing but admiration for young'uns like you who have stuck fat through the drought. Nobody could ever accuse you of riding a bandwagon.
This is as confident I have been this far into a season since the nineties. Seventeen in September.
Great move. I remember most fans were a bit sceptical when Acres first came across. Even in the first half of last year, we used to jokingly call him ‘the out of bounds on the full expert’. Since then, he’s put together a streak of games that’s won over our entire fanbase. He’s now a Blues cult hero and after his exploits in last years Finals Series, has forever gone down in Carlton folklore. That’s why, despite this being his 3rd club, Blake Acres will be remembered as a Carlton person 💙
My heart has just exploded- he is my absolute favourite. So glad he’s been locked in for two more years. ❤🎉😄

He is the Voss proto type player. Big body, defense minded and a two-way runner.
One of the best trades this club has made in recent memory,last week against Geelong even tho we were more than 10 goals up he still did the team thing and went back to defend yet another opposition goal,he’s work rate is insane,it’s actions like this that will elevate this club to greatness

Acres hit the “Roadrunning”made an impact from the start, his goal in Semi last year taking that overhead without a functioning shoulder and running at gut busting lengths, has already embedded him in Carlton folklore…He is a Bagger, deserves to be treated, respected and rewarded like one of the clubs sons. His extension is nothing but brilliant news, apart for the fact he has many years left to play, he should finish and remain a Bagger till its time to venture down to Curnow’s farm, where all greats retire fishing and swimming nude in the dam!🎉❤😊😊

Big Shot Blake. When he came over from Fremantle I knew he was a serviceable wing who could do a job, but I had no idea he could do this much and be so impactful at the most important moments.
Looking back at some of the comments from Saints and Freo it’s wild to think they were willing to give him up so quickly
