I love love love love this arc. It started with a strange bunch of misfits and the stories of how they came to be supersoldiers, developed into a murder mystery, and eventually tied all the loose ends back together for a spectacular finish that hit me deep in the feels. The ending was so painful yet so satisfying...every character finally got the closure they deserved.
Man I still come back to watch this again, Kalpas is still the best male character we have had in game in my opinion. He legit lived life like a raging wild fire but in the end he gave up everything just to prove his friend's innocence and give the others a chance. At the end when he is essentially dead already he woke up to tell Aponia to screw off as he did not believe he deserved the happiness he wanted but still asked if he finally protected something at the end as he wanted validation that he finally did something right.
I think it's because of Aponia's Discipline, after the battle with Corruption he gave them a message that way. But if you know the character, Kalpas and Aponia have a complicated relationship because of the orphanage, he "hated" her but eventually came to her while dying.@@Vanta4741
Theres something about the line, "the Herrscher Of Corruption has descended", that just instill pure terror onto the players. Especially when you remembered its the same herrscher that inflicted the most destruction to the Previous Era

Yuusuke Kobayashi is hidden gem. This & Subaru (Re:zero) are his best voice works. Hope he plays more challenging role like this.
