How are your 9 children more well behaved than most families of 1-3 kids? It’s a testament to your loving thoughtful and wholesome parenting approach. I wish I could take a master class or something from you. 😊
Hi Chloe and Rohan, I love seeing you both and your family. It brightens my day. Thank you all so much for that. Sending hugs your way as always. Take care of each other. 🤗❤
Just love your family, so lovely . You're doing a wonderful job with the kiddos. So glad that you are doing well and can't wait to meet the new little kiddo.
There is a lack of speech therapists where I am too. As teachers we recommend regularly including food in the children’s diets that is tough to chew. (Crispy rolls etc) This strengthens the mouth muscles just as playing with Lego and plasticine strengthens the hand muscles and helps with handwriting and fine motor control. Also ask the boys to repeat a small phrase daily to you like ‘red robin rides a reindeer’ or another that encompasses the sound they find difficult. Say it slowly to model it and don’t expect perfection but praise them when they get it right. Repeat daily a little at a time until it’s learnt. A little every day. It may get boring but repetition is sometimes the only way to break learned errors. God bless you, you will get there.
I love your family a lot. Whenever i see your vlog on UA-cam, i click it right away. It brings me immense pleasure. Keep doing what you're doing because you're doing a wonderful job, raising those beautiful children.❤ Edit: Wishing you a safe delivery for the littlest bean. Lots of love from somewhere in the world, so far away from Australia. 😊
I have vivid memories of going to speech therapy in the classroom “cloak room”. My 2nd grade classroom was 1 of 2 of a very old schoolhouse that had an entire modern grade school attached to it. I used to pretend I was time traveling back to Little House On The Prairie every day when I would walk down the massive sterile hall that when you turned the corner, inexplicably turned into a high ceilinged 1800’s 2 room school house down to the potbellied stoves & wooden plank floors. We also studied all about birds in the cloak room, coloring their different pictures on the floor, the light from the big windows spilling over us…I was often bored in school but 2nd grade was pretty magical.
German waitlists for speech therapy are full as well. Thats why I as a speech and language therapist always recommend to put them on the Liste as soon as possible. If its gone by the time you are in you just say no thanks ;) but dont worry. A good therapist makes it fun and playbased. I once worked with a man over 30. His 2nd child developed a strong lisp. So he started working on his lisp first. ❤ It was very hard for him but he finally got it.
Chloe and Ro, I've been watching your videos for at least 4 years now and juat want to thank you for sharing your family joys with us. It's amazing to watch your children grow and learn and have those wow moments! Your playroom and home children's library is the coolest. Never a dull moment with lots of colors, resources and siblings to share with. Good luck on having the next baby Bean!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I'm a grad student getting my master's in Speech-Language Pathology in South Carolina with only one semester left to go!! I've been watching since you did the minimal bedroom and toy room tours, and I've never noticed a difference in the /r/ sound in Rufus and Hanky. I'm curious to know the difference between the American English /r/ sound and the Australian English /r/ sound, as far as techniques on how to teach it. But you are mostly right! What you were talking about is called the critical period, which usually ends when kids reach age 8. Therapy can be given after that age for the /r/ sound; it'll just be a little harder for the child to learn (but not impossible)!!!!! It was interesting to know that SLPs are in the same high demand in Australia as they are in the U.S. Much love, and I hope Rufus and Henry have a lot of fun learning their /r/ sound!❤
I’m about to finish my masters for speech language pathology too! I’m from Texas! And I was wondering the same thing! The vocalic /r/ is definitely different in Australia vs USA!
I’m going into my second year of BSc Speech and Language Therapy! Because SLTs are so sought after in England I’m able to do it as a second undergrad (my first is in music). I worked with kids for years in nurseries and nannying and found myself gravitating to the kids who needed extra support and was often told it wasn’t my place to get involved because I wasn’t trained - especially with children who I could tell that they were likely neurodivergent like me!
My sister also went to a speech therapist (she was a bit older than them) and in a month (and practicing with my mom at home as a fun game) she improved sooo quickly. She just went a couple of months :) She couldn’t do the RR, S and F sounds, but it was so cute the way she talked 😍
I remember doing speech therapy in elementary school with my r's. My whole family, including all my cousins, my 6 children, all their cousins & now grands & great grand kids have had the same struggles. (known as the Arnold's R's) 🤔 69 years old today, never was able to roll my r's. The only real casualty?, not being able to speak French. Practice, practice, practice. Make it a fun game for the whole family. But most importantly, as you always do, love them for who they are. 💖
The wall would make a fun chalk board wall for the little ones (and big ones!) chalkboard paint. I did a whole wall in our dining/art and craft space. Which my kids love to decorate for every season/celebration/birthday ! I thought that was your new cat x
I'm in my first year of my bachelor's degree to become a speech and language therapist. I live in Holland and the waiting lists here are also long . About 6 to 8 months. Sometimes even longer. because there aren't many speech therapists. I hope speech therapy will work for your boy's!
I'm studying speech therapy in switzerland ☺️ It's the same here that it's really full and there's long waiting lists. I'm Sure they'll get their R's in no time 🙏🏼
Maybe you could paint the half wall in the kitchen in fun colours! Maybe pastel rainbow stripes or triangles. It would look less barren and there's no risk of little grubby hands peeling it off.
Our youngest was in speech therapy for a very long time. He had a 40% hearing deficit, that was reversed with surgery(Tubes). He was almost 10 when he got all the sound’s correctly.
I'm a speech therapist in Spain, and the waiting list through the public system is also massive here. Plus they only really work with children with very big difficulties, not so much speech difficulties. There are however no waiting lists if you go to a private clinic. I don't know anything about learning the English r, but I'm sure as with any other sounds they'll get there with the speech therapist's push in a few months! Good luck!
You have some fabulous parks in the area you live. Every video you seem to be at a different one and they all look amazing! Nothing like that where I live in the Uk. X
At the moment we have both sets of out twins completing their life saving and swimming classes, all 4 can now save themselves if they fell in our pool or any body of water … the 5 year old twins are great swimmers and the younger 3 year old twins both jump in and off the diving board, they can do the swim crawl, back and breaststroke and breath control as well as floating! The most important lessons to teach young babies and children is how to survive if they fell into water and swimming, I know that most young children can swim, it’s the number one class to attend with your babies here in my country, it’s also compulsory at school to be able to save their own lives in water!
I did not have my R sound for some time. I got put into speech therapy in 2nd grade & finally got my R sound in 4th grade. I grew up in the public school system in America. I’m 29 now & very rarely lose my R sounds like when I’m talking really fast usually if I’m upset.😂 but overall speech therapy worked for me & I hope the boys find it beneficial.❤
I had to count in my head, to realize #10 ! You do so well with your family and your children are so nice and respectful of each other, it’s hard to believe your expecting #10.
Children are all getting so big especially Evan and Otto did he have a growth spurt . I hope Henry and Rufus are getting better thats good what your doing with your kids cant wait to see the new addition.
My son is now 20 and when he was toddler thru his elementary school years he was in therapy and the wait time was usually around two to four weeks. My granddaughter is going to be 9 next month and she has been doing PT, OT, and speech since 6 months old but always off and on because the wait times have increased to 6 months to a year sometimes. Now my daughter has her in a different school so she can get them through the school and they even had her do the physical therapy through the summer this year in hopes she would start to catch up. She struggles to walk up and down stairs with a step over step pattern among other things.
In America they do that in school and in Brazil we can used health insurance. I have a daughter who has speech therapy when she was young, now she is 37 years old.
When I was little, there was a neighbor boy with a lisp, age 3 or 4. My mom said my younger sister went over to play with him one day and came home with a lisp! She went to speech therapy in public school in first and second grade.
I was in speech therapy for a few months in Kindergarten because I had a lisp. I found it pretty boring but it ended up helping because I got rid of the lisp!

Hey Chloe I have been wondering a couple things for awhile... First, your long hair is lovely! How do you keep it healthy and how do you handle it being pulled all the time?! I have grown mine long now and it is driving me crazy, but I want to keep it long!... Also, are you guys going to paint or personalize your home at all? I would love to see how you style all the rooms!
Pearl is getting sooo tall. I love watching and listening to all the children , especially the twins. ( Namely Sylvie) Chloe I think you have a very good reason why you are so tired. Could it be not only that it is your tenth baby, but you still have 3 little ones in diapers. (nappies.) Plus 6 other children under the age of 14. Right? You know that may have something to do with your tiredness. Love y’all!!! Take care of yourself Chloe. Ronan take care of your lovely wife!!!!!!!!!❣️

If you put some supports in the corners of the towers every so often you can build a taller tower - place the squares horizontal in the corners!

you should do a little paint on the newly bare wall! pink or yellow would be so cute and colorful since the lemons are being retired for now 😂
Or paint stripes! Pink and yellow would look cute!
A black board ( black board paint ) would look good on the ex lemon wall
Lovely family!
Maybe do a large felt board on th lemon wall. I did this when mine were little and it was a hit.
Oh Otto’s freckles in the end, so pretty 😊
bros a cutie patootie
Aileen’s sticky glue can help you, it can be restock too. I hope you can find it over there. It’s very good.
Hello to u look wonderful for having ur 10th baby. An ur sisters kitty is very pretty .❤ An typical kids peeling stickers or wallpaper when they c a corner peald back .....
A paint job on the cupboard with the kids hand prints would b cool. In different colors ❤
Maybe you should paint that wall in the kitchen a fun colour, that way it would look less bare but also nothing peelable
On the lemon wall could you put felt on the wall and make felt pieces like Evan was the other video. It can be a felt story wall. Just an idea.
Are the lemons quite expensive bc it does seem like a really nice tactile activity for the littles…

how do you keep those tiles from not falling ours fall
one way my family helped me say the r sound was put PeanutButter on the roof of the month where r sound comes from
Hi. Do you ship to the UK from the Bendy Beanstalk please ?
There are a ton of speech therapy resources here on YT if you are a parent w/out access or just want the extra benefits. This is when technology can be helpful, lol. :)
I had the same speech problem, had speech therapy in catholic school
2 of my grandchildren had speech therapy till they were 11 at school
I also took speech for my r and l sound. I remember the therapist would have me hold my tongue in place with a qtip. It made me gag so hard every time. 😂😂
Other than that, I enjoyed going and it didn’t take too long to help my speech.
Put Halloween decorations on that wall same for Christmas
My son and nephew, even after years of speech starting at age 3, still have difficulty with r sounds as adults
You need chalkboard paint. They can do their fantastic art work.
My nephew got speech therapy via his pre-k it he started when he was 3 because he had zero words and graduated speech when his was 4 1/2 with full sentences. He still has struggles with combinations sounds like "th"
But if they’ve been doing the therapy for a few weeks now, do you notice any change?
We had to do a few assessments at first so it’s been a bit slow to start but I have noticed them starting to get the sound at their sessions but I think it will be a while before they start putting it into their everyday speech naturally.
@@lifewithbeans Aha I see. It will take time indeed. 🤗
Paint lemons on bar!!
How about. A felt board
Evan would LOVE a cat I ma getting the idea.
I just bought our second set of Connetix today. Its one that has parts in it for making a train as a birthday gift for my 3 year old. But her older brother and sisters enjoy playing with it so much too! ❤️

speech therapy is so hard to get
