He did not really get along with his father though. As per biographers James Dean’s father never supported his son. Life is ironic because Winton Dean got everything.
Not true. He was loved by his family and his father. His father was saddened that people thought that they weren't close. His aunt and uncle visited him before his fatal ride and he promised to see them in Indiana as soon as he could. I think that the brooding young actor gave the impression that he was aloof but that wasn't true with his family.
With no support from his father throughout his entire life, it is sad that his father ended up with his son's fortune. In my book, James Dean's father is the most heartless person on the face of the Earth!
@@ireneglancey1012 If you read one of the many books on his life, his father was completely detached from his son once his wife died. Yes, I did read he had lunch with his father before he died, but he was not close with him in life, nor in death!
@@leoinsf Sorry to disagree, but I read that he and his father were on good terms and his father always felt bad that he was pictured as "cold" to him.
@@p.j.gannon1646 Hi P. J. yes he was ahead of his time and young when he died, he loved to drive fast cars I thought the same as you said to myself, well take care now!!😊✌
I have all 3 Dean movies.. But I've heard from film critics That his stage performance's Were greatly underestimated and that the Immortalist was His best performance of the Time..🤷
I was 9 when Dean died & didn't care for Dean's performance in "East of Eden", but I saw him on a few t.v. shows in the early 50's & liked them! My uncle's cousin, aspiring actress, Dottie Harmony, had a small part in "Rebel",( Natalie Wood's blond girlfriend), so the family saw that film! In "GIANT", Dean was terrific & showed his 'range' as an actor! I did see Sal Mineo in person in '58, though, when he made a personal appearance for his film "Dino"! 09/30/'55, doesn't seem that long ago, still! R.I.P. James!
Only James Dean himself could play a character the way he would do it. That's why I'm against using CGI to put a dead actor's likeness on a different performer.
So sad that he suffered so much from the ignorance people had about homosexuality back then. Being famous and in the closet must’ve been brutal for him. He was a rebel though. When asked if he was gay he said no but his hands aren’t tied behind his back. So he gave everybody a wink. So glad that the young people today can be themselves and be truly happy.
I think everyone from that era looked 20-30 years older than they are. It’s probably from the heavy smoking and drinking that was widely accepted back then. James Dean is my favourite actor even though he died like over 50 plus years before I was born. But it’s always funny to see 20 and 30 year olds from the 1950s-1980s and think they looked to be about 40 or 50 😂😂
He didn’t really look old he had his hair shaved and a lot of makeup for his last movie roll in giant but he was always gorgeous and looks so modern today rip my beautiful little prince ❤️🙏
True.He agreed to shaved parts of his forehead to looked the part in 'Giant' when he got old in the film.He looked his age in 'East Of Eden' and didnt looked 40 which is absolutely not true.Hes way more good looking than most of Hollywood actors today. Not even close.
What was your favorite performance by James Dean?
Definitely east of eden 🤗
Everyone was amazing can’t pick
He was ahead of his time. He was the definition of cool.
He had 5 inches.
So glad James Dean’s family won against Warner Brothers.
Thank you for your beautiful portrait of James Dean 💋♥️🙌🏆💐😎🍾🎉🌹♥️

I LOVE HIM!!!!!!❤❤❤
Ironic that this family didn’t support him when he was alive but profited off him in his death.

Dean no gay!!
I think Warner bros had no right against Dean for the assets. His father deserves it bcos its family root
Wow all his films were great! He died way too young. Whst a shock to fans. Yes nobody knows when their time is up. So enjoy life!
Hollywerid actors of today can not hold a candle to Hollywood actors of A Golden age today's Hollywood is a parody of real acting
Wow James Dean 😎😍
光に闇の深さがわかるものか
Three movies and he is a legend, yeah right
At least nobody here inherited parts of his Porsche…
No one loved him like Rock Hudson
You crazy, no true
@@hannahcarvalho8664 they were proven to be gay lovers what do you know?
