I love this song because not only is it beautiful but there is the hunting atmosphere about how she sings it. You can almost feel that sense of desperation in her voice.
wonder why people dont listen to these songs, and also wonder why I didnt find it earlier. never understood popular music :S

This was really a great rendition. I think it’s a mark of a great song, when so many singers can briefly own it and return it unharmed.

I feel like this song is about innocence, or maybe the loss of it.
As I see it, the other songs from Devics are always on complicated relationships. For example, Stretch Out Your Arms is about a girl who is trying to be good again with a man who has broken her too much, and her failure to do so. Five Seconds To Hold you tells about the sorrow of disappearance of feelings as the time passes. Lie To Me is about the desperate attempt to feel loved. Salty Seas is about how we can miss the times we were with the one we wholeheartedly loved, and how this longing is still existent even though we were unhappy at those times. Come Up is basically accepting the sad truth about love, that it is just a temporary wave.
Well, this song is about the simplest form of love. No sad pasts, no manipulating memories, no accepting the truth, no feeling of emptiness. Just a man. He is big and strong. He will come. And everything will happen as they have to, without the need to words. Just like in dreams.
However, this feels like an irony to me. When we compare it with other songs from Devics, and also from little details and general tune of the song, it is as if trying to tell us that it actually is a dream. It won't happen. It is too simple, too pure to be real. And this song is about yearning for those simple times.
It also makes me question my self, my thoughts on relationships. For example, just loving and desiring someone because he is "big and strong" is, in my opinion, too superficial for me. I can almost say that I find it despicable. However, is this because I have lost the simplicity of innocence? Isn't this kind of love what I would be perfectly happy with? Or, in other words, have I lost my ability to live carefree so much that I can't even emphatize with it? Is this just me, or is this one of the main problems of humanity? Or is this "innocence" thing the one causing problems?
Well, I don't know.
But I love it.
I, complicatedly, love it.
Not long ago, I discovered Devics. English is not my main language, so most of the time I listen to my music without understanding what is being said. However, I have always loved the music. You made me realize how deep and reflective Devics can be. I will probably listen to all the albums again, trying to pay more attention to what they are saying. :')
