Usually i swap them out for a Sr20. Which btw they been good to me. So watching ur vids gives me some knowledge on the Ka motor.. keep the vids coming. =)

I want to build that one for my son. All motor but I wanna try individual throttle bodies. I love the way they sound and think it'll be something different.
I think you can remove cylinder 1 spark plug, drop a long skinny extension in there and manually turn the engine until the extension comes to the very top.
ayy I have bin having some problems with my ka24de. I changed the timing chain the same way you did it but my car didn't start do you have any ideas or tips on what it can be or what I can do?
Are you absolutely positive the marks on the chain match the marks on the gears? Are the narrow lobes of the cams on the 1st cylinder pointing away from each other? If so, then the only other thing it could be is that the distributor is not in the correct spot.
+Primer2tone Garage yo man, have had intermittent idle issues, nothing crazy, just a slight shake every now and then. Put some new plugs and wires in the other day, ran fine the first day, and now it's shaking real bad, all the way to my gear shift. pretty sure it's a misfire. I've checked the order of the spark plug wires and they're all correct to the firing order. any tips? appreciate it man

What's the easiest way to check if you are at top dead center without taking the valve cover off?

I think the worse case would be the timing would be off and either it won't run or it'll run poorly.

The pointed sides of the first lobes of both cams need to be facing away from each other. That's tdc for the cams.
Where do you get the distributor?
I'm out of day light but I will try tomorrow and thanks
